Posted May 14, 2014 I wanted to add a mini story to the Oath Ceremony as how I would imagine it. In no way is it "THE only interpretation" But I didn't want to just copy/paste it, I wanted to be unique. Since this is a very important Oath to keep. Sorry it's a little long. *Stands before all of the DC Council (the mods ) and present my scroll labelled "Shay555031" to them.* The Great Clearing was dead silent as fellow scroll-bearers that have already taken the oath, stand beside me whispering words of encouragement. In the center of the clearing is The Grand Pire. Burning for years by the purest Dragons' Flame. *I walk forward towards the Pire and hold my hand out to one of the mods who entwines my scroll and my hand with an almost transparent silk ribbon.* "Now hold your hand over the flame, and repeat after me" the mod said to me. I was afraid the fire would burn, so I was hesitant. My heart raced and I thrusted my hand into the flames. I felt no pain, not even a trace of heat. A surge of confidence pulsed through my heart and I boldly enunciated the sacred words of the oath. "I will not make more than a single scroll." - "I will not make more than a single scroll." "I am perfectly content on just a single scroll." - "I am perfectly content on just a single scroll." I, Shay555031, take the Single Scroll Oath! *The flame "CRACKS" and whirled around through the air until it came down and began to swirl around my hand. It created a rainbow glow around my hand and scroll. Suddenly the color dissolved as it seeped into the ribbon, which now emitted a softer glow. I was scared, not only because there had just been a flaming tornado just a moment ago, but now, there was no flame on the pire. Then, a Magi Dragon emerges from invisibility, and presents an ancient stone placard. She lays it in the hands of the Pire Sage Mod and beckons me forth with her tail. She gently takes the ribbon from my hand and with a whisk of magic it flies over to the Sage and hovers over the placard. Suddenly it dissolved into fine dust onto the placard. I gasped, thinking I had already broken some term of the oath. The Magi Dragon nuzzled me gently and pushed me forward. I looked at the placard and saw all of the names of every oath-taker, and at the very bottom, was my name, shimmering in the light. Human and dragon kin alike began to cheer as a colony of Guardians of Nature flew down from the heavens and formed a circle. They entwined their tails, not leaving out a single hatchling, and bowed their heads. It looked like they were saying a solemn prayer to perhaps a Dragon Deity that time has long forgotten. Then they raised their heads in sync and bellowed a beautiful transparent flame onto the Pire. It was as if the stars had fallen upon the fire as well, as it glittered within the flame. The flame reached to the sky and as quickly as the Guardians had appeared, they were gone. The Ceremony was complete.* Share this post Link to post

I thought I had taken this oath years ago but I just searched through the list of oath takers and I didn't see my name there. Anyway, it's about time I joined this . Obviously we've all signed the ToS but I think this is a great way to raise awareness about multi-scrolling since I've seen multiple users lately who are clearly multi-scrollers.
