Dreams You've Had

Recommended Posts

I once had a dream where I was staring at a casino. There was a huge neon sign that said: Phat was short of the hero Frooty (Now I use that as my motto tongue.gif)

When I was about 3 I would have the same 2 dreams EVERY NIGHT. The fitst one is where I am in my sister's room, and a fireworks show is about to start. In order to survive the fireworks, I had to climb the bunk bed, and hide under the covers before the fireworks started. I would climb the bed, get under the covers, but my foot would still be sticking out. I would die.

The other dream I could have every night was where I was in a black abyss, just falling. Falling and falling forever. I would eventually see a grey blob WAYYYY below me... I would fall closer and closer to the blob, until I could make out what it was. It was my bed! I would land on my bed, and everything would go all fuzzy and soft...

Here are two dreams I had:

I was playing Insaniquarium Deluxe (PC Game) and went to my virtual tank. I suddenly had an item, a real one in the game, which causes aliens to appear in your tank, which I haven't bought. One appearedand it ate nearly all of my fish. Suddenly, I realized I was dreaming, and I went to the main menu, went back to the virtual tank, and all my fish were there.(when you realize you are dreaming you can control it)

I was playing Warrior Cats RPG (Forum based on the warriors series). Suddenly, I got a warn. Said I posted something rude and it was,"My favorite book was The Last Hope". My rank was changed from "Fox Slayer" (my rank at the time) to "First Warn". Later in the dream I was logging into WCRPG,and I got a warn for logging in. My rank was changed to "Almost Banned". And I don't think WCRPG changes your rank when you are warned.

I've had some really weird dreams in my past, most of them I wish happened. xd.png Though there is one that still creeps me out even now. *shivers*

So I'm walking this strange world and EVERYTHING looks like something out of some zombie undead movie. So I'm just walking down the street and then something suddenly grabs me by the ankle and pulls me down to the ground. I'm screaming and have no idea what's going on at all. Then suddenly something wraps around my neck and then I woke up to my moms arm around my neck.

Then there's this other one (which makes me still laugh even now) where I'm standing on a cliff and then someone suddenly comes up behind me and pushes me off it. I wake up seconds after to find myself off my bed and on the ground. Must have rolled off the bed during the dream. xd.png

Speaking of dreams and falling off beds, I remember very faintly a dream that had to do with giant squids and falling, and I woke up on one side of my bed on the floor.

If anybody is familiar with the books The Hunger Games and Incarceron, I had a dream that was somewhere in a cross between them.

I was in my old house, before we moved. Everything was where it always was, that is to say, strewn about on the floor messily where toys always are. My sister's hair was short, like it was after we moved. Everybody was nervous, and quiet. We, (my older sister, my younger brothers, and me,) all had to go somewhere. All the children were going somewhere, because we had to. There wasn't any talking in the dream at this point either, I should point out, it was just things we knew. from faces, from our minds.

There's a huge crowd, and we're separated into groups. I can't find my siblings, and hope they're together. While there are no words still, there is loud uneasiness, and the sound of children before a school assembly; just scared, and no words can be made out.

A boy, sixteen, almost seventeen, that I used to know, trying to calm down the younger children nearer to him. His mouth moves and still there are no words. I try to help him. My mouth moves and there are no words. No air leaves my lungs, just resides dormantly in my chest.

Someone behind me vies for my attention, and I see it's a girl, one of my friends that lost contact with. She talks, I can't hear her, but I understand she wants to stay with me, and she's as scared as I am. All I can do is nod and give her a half of a smile before silence falls amongst the crowd.

There is man standing on a platform that went unnoticed, and he's called Zero, I know that for sure. He was one child of every age to come forth. Young children come forth, older kids carrying those too young to walk. I scan the crowd, and there's a screech from my friend; the fourteen year-old volunteer is our friend. We can tell something bad is going to happen. The crowd parts for us as we rush forward to see her. There's no ground as we run.

She's about to cry, just like when I last saw her, but she doesn't. Oh god, what's happening? Everything is happening in a daze as she speaks, her words cracking and shattering the silent film of my dream. She says we have to stay strong, for her. It's okay. She hugs my friend, her best friend. I hug her, she calls me her baby like she used to.

Zero approaches, and I realize the younger children are gone. He shoves us aside, and brandishes and gun. We hold onto her hand, and she comforts us, she's going to die but she comforts us.

There's a muted sound, a shot. There's no bullet hole, no blood, but she falls. Zero walks on. We're sobbing and crying soundlessly, but she's gone. We're back in our spectator area, before we ran. The boy I once knew tries to calm us down, but we're not crying. Zero is talking. He says we can go home. He is going to kill us all, and all of our families, one by one. We can, if we wish, kill each other instead, to end our suffering beforehand.

I'm at home, not my old house, the house I live in now. We've turned off all the lights, the electronics, the anything that could track us down.

He watches through the cameras.

Everybody is gone. My sister, my brothers. They didn't home home. I don't know if they died or not. We don't talk.

I try and find a way to fake my own death. Zero thinks I killed my parents. He's not in charge though. The computer is. It wants us all dead. Zero is helping him. Zero might not be human. Zero is crazy. I don't understand Zero.

I've talked with Zero. He thinks I will help him kill people, that I have killed people. I know he's on to me, that I have not.

Zero is going to kill me, but I'm not going to die. I find the computer, and Zero isn't there. His voice everywhere. The computer speaks in my mind, but it makes no sound.

Zero says he will kill me no matter what I do. Give up. He knows my every move. He knows what I did. I don't show him my fear.

The computer dares me to stop it. I don't know how. I don't let it know that.

I'm at the computer, it's no larger than a normal one like my brother's. The keyboard is normal. There is nothing open. I shut it down. It stops speaking. Zero is quiet. I can't find him.

I wake up, and I'm in my bed. I was a tad uneasy about going online that morning. My computer had shut down by itself overnight. ;_;

Zero was nothing but a placeholder, in the end. While he seemed like ultimate evil, he was only taking the place of an evil machine that in reality, had no means of protecting itself when faced with a fourteen year-old girl that's computer-savvy enough to press a button. Zero and the computer were one and the same, perhaps controlled by a greater force. That, however, is a detail I'm not privy to, as I woke up to pee :/

TL;DR: Crazy guy controlled by computer, or they were both the same, or controlled by something else, but I digress. So crazy guy starts killing everybody, and he's actually doing it, and you never know where or when he'll strike. He's stopped when I shutdown a computer.

BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN :?

Had a very short but pretty strange yet awesome dream last night.

I was in Skyrim, but I was Spy from TF2. I was carrying the Ambassador and one-shotting bandits all over the place. Ya know, because they had bows and arrows and daggers...and I had a gun. ._.

Very short dream, but it was fun while it lasted.

I had an awesome dream 2 nights ago.

I had the ability to turn into a dragon by flapping my arms and running, which caused my fingers to sprout into wings, and my body to metamorphose into a dragon. I flew around the sky. There were tents from a medieval market/faire, and a big mud puddle/river out back. I can't remember the plot, but MAN. THAT WAS AN AWESOME DREAM!

Oh, and once I had one about my violin teacher recommending a narrow-mouthed cat because it would improve the acoustics of my violin without too much effort. Wide-mouthed cats sounded better, but you had to scrape away the fur that grew inside their mouths. :/

Awesomeness, but I don't want to be a dragon. I dream of flying however. No, sorry more on floating and gliding. I don't do flying. And that is really saying something as I am acrophobic (scared of heights) well, it was fun.

So... This is strange... I have a female friend who I admire so much, and well like her more than friends (u know what I mean) Anyway, I never told her since I know she doesn't go with those crazy nonsense. So in my dream I hug/ kiss her, and well, get a weird look from her. Just what I expected. And the thing is, I said, "It's okay, this is just a dream."

blink.gif So my dream self knows that I'm dreaming

Sounds like a lucid dream. You knew it was dream, thus you did what you wanted, so to speak, and hugged/kissed your friend, because you knew it was dream, no?

I don't usually get to that point in my dreams. Sometimes I feel this detached feeling of "I must be dreaming, this can't be real," but I never figure out I'm right. Then again, I've felt that in real life too, like when my puppy drowned, all three times I had to go to a mental hospital, and during the Boston Marathon Bombing. 0_0

It's okay, it was bound to happen I guess sad.gif bombings happen daily in the world, that one just hit too close home.

Anyway, there's no reason to be embarrassed about a dream! I mean, dreams are just... well, I'm not sure if people know exactly what they are, but they're our subconscious playing out thoughts we could have had, maybe things only in passing!

I had a dream my brother was a girl. With long, kinky pink hair, hazel eyes, and paler than my fair sister. (My family is caucasian, bu my brother and I are a smidge darker than my sister and youngest brother.) S/he (what pronoun do I use there help lol) was a pretty girl too! And a lot thinner than my fat bro tongue.gif

We use 'he' for male, boy, man; and 'she' for female, girl, women

No I know, it's just that in real life, it's my brother, so I would say he, but in the dream, it's my sister, so I'm not sure if I'm supposed use a male pronoun, because my brother is really a boy, or a female pronoun, because in my dream that was my sister.

It doesn't really matter though, sis-bro doesn't exist, and my brother doesn't care, I just never know what pronoun to use when referring to someone like in that situation.

I probably dreamt that because I always wanted a little sister, instead of that brother. It sounds mean, but he because some totally different girl that was still the same person, just, a sister instead of a brother, and less inappropriate and cruel, less of a glutton, and much more amiable instead of the anger issues. She even liked games like my brother, but didn't act quite the same.

I kinda miss her, and wish I had her instead of my brother. It's awful, but there's a reason my actual sister cried at his ultrasound when she found out she would be getting a brother and not another sister.

Last night, I had a dream that there was a psychopath on my property. So I went to my armory (no, I don't have one in RL) and picked out a massive saw. I proceeded to attack him, using the saw as a sword, but the only damage that I could inflict were paper cuts. No matter how hard I hacked. dry.gif

I don't usually have violent dreams.

Eerie.

Though I guess it isn't too violent if you're only making paper cuts.

I've had this one years ago, but it was so real that I doubt I'll ever forget it.

I also saw it through my own eyes, which pretty much never happened and nothing seemed to be absurd, as some dreams are.

Anyways, it started of in a European town right next to a forest, the houses were made of wood with hay roofs. It kinda looked like an old viking town, including the clothes the people were wearing.

Anyways, everyone in the town had to go to the chief's house, including me. He said that there was a big aggressive wolf in the forest that already killed several villagers and that that they decided to hunt and kill it. He asked if there were any volunteers and I signed up together with several other men.

Then the dream kinda skipped to a scene where I was in the forest, running away from something. My sword was gone and I knew the wolf was close. I suddenly heard a man yelling but his yell stopped abruptly. I kept running and looked back and saw that a huge white wolf was chasing me. I felt the urge to duck and did so and saw the wolf jumping over me.

Then I changed directions but tripped, rolled down a slope and landed on my back. Then the wolf jumped on me and pinned me down. It looked at me for a split second and then it quickly opened its jaws and went for my throat.

And then I woke up.

I had another semi-lucid dreaming incident last week. I was in this long hallway, kind of like in the Daytona Ocean Center when you've just walked in. It was dark outside and the inside had a bunch of gold and yellow lighting. And across the floors (which were tile instead of carpet) were a bunch of train tracks. And I pretty much knew that as soon as I stepped on or over them the railroad lights would start going red and trains would start coming across. So I would run across and wait for the trains to go away, and then I would run back across several times before more trains came.

Where the semi lucid dreaming came in was when I was trying to leap up and fly/float/experience lesser gravity/experience greater buoyancy/SOMETHING! above the trains like I knew I had done in other dreams (but in different scenarios) and my frustration over my apparent inability to do so in this dream.

I find that a lot of my "lucid dreaming" has to do with remembering things from previous dreams that I might or might not have remembered having in my waking moments.

Like the fact that I can breathe underwater in dreams. That's come into play several times during short naps in the backseat during long car rides.

I once had a dream that I had a degenerative mental and brain condition, and they did surgery to fix it, but I knew that they hadn't and couldn't despite the doctors telling me that I was going to get better. So I kind of just sat there and let my senses basically disintegrate and fall asleep in the dream.

There are rare times when I dream of being someone or something else. Let's say I dreamt of being a butterfly. When I wake up, i wonder if I'm a butterfly in real life dreaming I was George or I'm George dreaming about being a butterfly. There's someone in history (I'm not sure if Chinese) who said that and I can relate. Oh, I never dreamt of being a butterfly. I dreamt something else like being a mage.

That's cool. I've once dreamed about not finishing an assignment for class, then living through the day, and waking up and being like, "Oh, hey it was a dream. IT WAS A DREAM! OH THANK GOODNESS!"

I also had one where a very good friend of mine was hit by a car and died. The next time I saw her, I gave her a bigger bear hug than usual. :3

I often don't remember my dreams but sometimes- just after I've woken up- I'm still convinced my dreams are real, so I end up lying there and thinking something like "But who will save the supermodels from drowning?" or "They have my pencil-dog!".

I vaguely remember a dream where someone on my floor at the Uni flats played that game from Homestuck (sburb?) that ends the world. I was trying to get them to take me wherever they were going, saying I was useful and could do stuff. They said no, so I hit them on the head with my metal angle-poise lamp... Then realised I had no idea what I was doing and had just knocked out/killed the only one who did. The building exploded as I was desperately headbutting their laptop screen and crying. That one was kinda depressing, especially since everyone died in the end.
