Posted February 12, 2010 They're actually really bad. At least, the Color of Magic one was. Bad special effects, soooo cheesy... Share this post Link to post
Posted February 12, 2010 AND RINCEWIND WAS FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT! *flails* I'm sorry, that's a realt sticking point with me. He looked like Ridcully, not our skinny cowardly pal... And Albert was really weird. *grumblemuttergrr* Oh, and DON'T get me started on the old cover illistrations that make beautiful Teatime look like a witch and Vetinari like a cross-dressing crone... Posted February 12, 2010 I didn't think too much of them either, but I liked watching them anyway. The humour doesn't seem to carry over too well to the programs and without it the story seems kinda flat Share this post Link to post
Posted February 12, 2010 Pratchett himself said that he would choose Alan Rickman to play Vetinari in any Discworld movies made. Alan Rickman=Snape, in case you don't know. I think it fits, don't you? Share this post Link to post
Posted February 15, 2010 Lord Vetinari= Love Alan Rickman= Love Oh yus. But does Hugh Laurie= Commander Vimes. I think so. Share this post Link to post
Posted February 15, 2010 Alan Rickman is one of my favourite actors Has anyone seen him in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves? He stole that movie. Kevin Costner refused to work with him again after that lol. So yes, I can see Alan as Vetinari, although I still think Hugh would need to beef out a bit to play Vimes. Who would be Carrot? Posted February 15, 2010 *rubs imaginary goatee* Good question... The guy who plays Patrick Jane would be a good Moist. Or David Tennant. Brian Blessed is BORN to play Ridcully- can you imagine that? Um... Drumknott is a hard one. Share this post Link to post
Posted February 15, 2010 David Tennant as Moist - Yes Brian Blessed as Ridcully - Yes Drumknott...... Why do I keep thinking of Michael C Hall? Share this post Link to post
Posted February 15, 2010 But does Hugh Laurie= Commander Vimes. I think so. That would be so amazingly epic it's unbelievable. Share this post Link to post
Posted February 15, 2010 Huge Laurie as what. As what. What. *Brain explodes* Share this post Link to post
Posted February 16, 2010 Y' think? Sorry, but I can't say I agree. Drumknott is small, blonde... clerky. Stephen Fry (oh, how I love him so...) is too big to play him, I think. Share this post Link to post
Posted February 16, 2010 And Rincewind is supposed to be a scrawny little thing. David Jason isn't. Besides, they can do all sort with computer wizardry. They could shrink Steven Fry a little. Share this post Link to post
Posted February 16, 2010 Then why not shrink anyone? Arnie? David Beckham? Rincewind was bad casting... Share this post Link to post
Posted February 17, 2010 Saruman from Lord of the Rings and Dracula in nearly everything else Share this post Link to post
Posted February 17, 2010 Oh, him! Yeah, he's cool. He could play Death without makeup, lol... Anyone know PTerry's e-mail address? Share this post Link to post
Posted February 17, 2010 (edited) You mean leik, his personal one? Edited February 17, 2010 by Fortune86 Share this post Link to post
