Posted January 31, 2012 *puts a plate of cookies on the ground for people while they're waiting, and puts down a cake for Stealthy* I was cooking for my dragons and had leftovers. NEVER GIVE A RED DRAGON A CUPCAKE! I had to put out a lot of flames...although I was lucky with my Pink dragons. I gave them both a cake...they almost went into a sugar rush. The others were good, although the hatchlings had sugar rushes. With my dragons help, they were captured. Enjoy the cookies! Share this post Link to post
Posted January 31, 2012 Hello, fellow dragon keepers! Today I present you with a fanfiction-esque giveaway. Hopefully most of you are at least somewhat familiar with the show I’m leeching off of, so I’ll be skipping some description writing in favor of brevity and an attempt at punctuality. With that, ladies and gentlemen, I give you THE EGGIES IN THE GOD COMPLEX! Recently a fairly large group of eggies were watching episode after episode of a popular BBC television series. Their minds were filled with monsters and clever scientific theory and British English by the end of the night, so much so that their entire world was turned upside down by A DINO AND A VAMPIRE FROM THE CAVES OF AUTANA! When these two stepped out the door, followed by everyone else as they left the party, they entered into a maze of corridors and stairwells fashioned to look like an old hotel. The dino walked up to the nearest artificial plant and tried to eat it. The vampire ran off screaming only to be knocked unconscious by an unexpected wall. Five seconds later, they both disappeared, only to materialize back on DC again, the dino with number 57, greasalotle124, and the vampire with number 80, FrozenVoyage!!! It didn’t take long for the remaining eggies to discover what this hotel was all about. Behind every door was a room filled with their fears. Having short term memories which had just finished absorbing episode after episode of sci-fi monsters, every room the eggies opened contained another alien or space ship freak. The first to open a door was AN EMBER EGGY FROM THE CAVES OF SEACATSMEW! Contained inside were pools of white goo, acting as solids when hit rapidly and as liquids when gently pushed. As the ember stood there in horror, the pools rose up and solidified into the milky white shapes of dragons. The dragons devoured the eggy, disintegrating back into a liquid shortly afterwards, and the ember re-appeared a few days later at the home of number 103, amberheun!!! Because all of the eggies saw the same show, groups of them feared the same things. One group was composed of A WHITE, PAPER, AND ROYAL BLUE FROM THE CAVES OF LAGIE! These three opened a door and stepped into a classroom. From the front of the room, a slightly bloated teacher smiled at them warmly, pointing to a word that had been scrawled onto the blackboard. “Now, repeat after me: Raxacoricofallapatorius,” she said sweetly, though the eggies continued to cower at the back of the room. The teacher soon turned into the nightmare they were expecting, when out of a glowing crack in her head emerged a large green biped that cracked open their shells and sucked out their innards. Like the others, the three eggies have now been sighted back in DC, the white with number 17, gosnape, the paper with number 52, Rukia05, and the royal blue with number 73, stromzone!!! Two floors up in the third wing to the left, another door was opened by A HORSE AND A PURPLE RIDGEWING EGGY FROM THE CAVES OF EEVEE_EM! Almost immediately the two became suspended in thin air, unable to make out anything in the surrounding darkness save for the ghostly figure of an old woman. In her hand she held two dolls, one representing each eggy, and as she poked and prodded the puppets the eggies were thrown through the air and jabbed by invisible assailants. After days of torture, the Carrionite grew bored, so she put the horse in her pocket, cutting off its oxygen supply, and ripped the other apart like a weak pillow. Still in terrible pain, the two eggies recently reappeared in the real world, the horse by the caves of number 70, Rhunya, and the ridgewing by those of number 14, Puppylikestosti!!! Finally, a classic was uncovered by A BRONZE TINSEL, A RED STRIPE, AND TWO THUNDERS FROM THE CAVES OF CATLOVER3288! When they first entered their room, the darkness was complete. Stumbling in different directions the eggies fumbled for a light switch, though they regretted finding one as soon as the room was lit up. Surrounding the little group of friends were numerous metal monsters with bumpy sides, two weapons projecting from their middle-area, and a single glowing blue eye stalk pointed directly at them. “Exterminate!” croaked one of the creatures, killing the stripe with a deadly blast from one of its weapons. The other three eggies fell quickly, and as the last one fell, the lights failed, and the room was shrouded in darkness once more. Now all the eggies have appeared, disoriented, in the same town: the tinsel with number 43, jetcomb, the stripe with number 41, TurboSilver, and the thunders with numbers 98 and 48, spottedpool3251 and incondicency!!! It’s strange to be afraid of something small, apparently harmless, and completely adorable, but looks can be deceiving, and no eggies know this better than A BLACK STRIPE AND A RED EGGY FROM THE CAVES OF WANDERER! These two almost had a heart attack when they walked into a room full of white marshmallow-shaped things with cute smiles, and at first, no one understood why. Soon, though, the eggies began to turn into one of the little Adipose babies, fading to a milky white color and loosing their telepathic powers. When the transformation into an animated glob of fat was complete, all the little Adipose jumped up and down and ran around in circles, oblivious to everything else. The two eggies, meanwhile, were materializing in reality again, the stripe by the home of number 26, AppleCakes, and the red next to number 38, aquamarine__!!! Another classic came to light when a room was chosen by A ROYAL BLUE AND AN ELECTRIC EGGY FROM THE CAVES OF ANNIELYLA! From among the dangling wires and rows of metal boxes emerged an army, their metal feet clanking against the ground as they marched. Two of these Cybermen broke off from the main group and forcefully pushed the paralyzed eggies into two of the metal boxes, all the while saying something about them being “Upgraded.” The electric eggy came to its senses right before it was shoved into a box, but when it attempted to flee its escort Deleted it. The royal blue was surrounded by a metal casing and cleansed of emotion, reduced to a logical robot bent on world domination and the eventual destruction of its rivals from Skaro. Both eggies eventually awoke from what they thought of as a nightmare, safe and sound and surrounded by other dragons. The royal blue ended up with number 27, DragonRider5624, and the electric went with number 22, aurora e!!! Only one bunch of eggies managed to resist the urge to enter a horror-filled room, but this simply led to an equally sinister end. The group was made up of A SILVER TINSEL, A BRONZE TINSEL, AND A WHITE EGGY FROM THE CAVES OF HORSE2000, and they became engaged in a deadly game of tag with a Minotaur. They ran through the halls, up and down the stairs, through lobbies and ballrooms, but they could not escape the bellowing beast. At first, the creature played along, but soon it grew hungry and began messing with the eggies’ brains. The trio went from running like mad to blindly following the Minotaur in worship. The beast lay back and waited, and its dinner walked up to it and willingly offered its flesh to their alleged master. The eggies were quickly devoured, serving as a perfect midnight snack, and soon woke up feeling a bit dizzy and wondering what had happened. They’re all safe and sound now, the silver tinsel with number 6, bookwormofdune, the bronze tinsel with number 10, bobg6867jr, and the white with number 12, Kursedfire!!! My attempt to make this short failed miserably… Also, I appear to have forgotten the Angels. Silly me. And if you didn’t recognize what show that was, then you’re even more culturally deprived/ignorant than I am and should go inform yourself immediately! Share this post Link to post
