Dear Journal,

 

We drove off a wild clan today. The leader was a Male Split. The clan contained about 49 adult dragons and around 14 hatchlings. The clan's 10 blacks had attacked us at dawn, but we drove them off and then followed them back to their nest. They put up a fight, but we have many more warriors, so they quickly realized they would not win, and they slowly left. All the hatchlings were taken by their parents.

 

The Frill Dragons both tryed to find new mates today. Frilliam courted the CB female magi Shar'mein, and she acsepted him. They now have a little Magi egg. Frillissa was courted by the CB Daydream male Rasui, but then she saw her old mate with a new female, and ran away crying, and refused to go near him. It may take some time for her wounds to heal.

 

I fear that the Sun Queen, Uzarah, is going to try and chalenge my leadership. She had Faranth and Moonrise lay an egg on our journey here, and it hatched as we arrived... and it has just gendered male. Every time I have seen her since she has had a look in her eye, a very disturbing, evil look...

Dear Journal

 

Eoan and Lilly decided to breed with each some months ago, but it really weren't a good time for it, so no egg where produced. Eoan turned really sad because we abondoned his and Lillys first child.

Kailay and Philip will soon try to breed to. We gaved away their first child because of the little prey amount on that time. Lets hope it will be a succes.

 

One month later...

 

I looked at Kailay today, but I didn't find a thing. I had to told her about the bad news, and then she just looked at me and then flied away maked my heart broke. I always feel bad for the females when they want an egg so badly, but they dont get any.

 

But I am very happy to tell that Noinaen and Uninspiring got a little egg only an hour ago! It turned to be a little Nocturne, just like its father. Uninspiring was hoping a little bit for a Frill, but she is happy anyway. I mean, this is their very first egg and all! I am very happy for them.

 

Well, I have to go now. I have to talk to We Can Work It Out, or as we call her Out. She is supposed to be my mate, but I really want to talk with her first. She is beautiful, and her parents are really nice, but I still want to make sure that I can love her and live with her forever.

Dear Journal,

 

Uzarah took the new male sunrise, which has been named Vorteth, as her new mate. She has laid a new pure Sun egg, and asked Zephyr to find a mate for it. Zephyr happened to be given a pure sun egg from another Tender in a close by territory not a day ago, but we have not told Uzarah yet.

 

We have moved further into our new territory, and we have driven off more wild dragons. One group was 6 vine dragons and their offspring, who happily moved on when they saw the red dragons in our clan. Another group was a male black and his two summer mates, and their offspring, a spring and a black hatchling. The male would have put up a fight if there were not so many of us, but he was much to smart for that.

 

We also found the body of a Frill Dragon who had died due to the frill illness. Dewfrost insisted on doing a postmortem, and found that she had been gravid with a frill egg and a black egg, so we think she was once a part of the smaller group we found. Poor dear.

 

We have taken shelter in a large forest for the night. I will write again soon.

Hey. Arctus here. I haven't written in this journal in a while. I have a lot of news.

 

Kat was gone for a long time. When she came back, she was crying, saying, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Apparently, something big had happened on the strange place called 'Earth' and, she didn't want to leave us, but she had to. Still, all of us are overjoyed that she has returned.

 

The good news is that I have basically fully recovered from the lag monster attack. It's been over a year, aqnd I still have a patch of tough skin over my chest where the worst of the burns were.

 

But there is also terrible news. My species can no longer breed, and there are no more Frill eggs at the cave.

 

It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Apparently, this was because many people were calling our kind 'ugly' and 'plain.' Sierra, was infuriated, as were Tempo, Soran and I. So something terrible happened that rendered us unable to breed and caused all of our eggs to dissappear. So that means, after my generation, we're extinct.

 

Kat explained it more. We're not completely infertile. We can breed with others that are not rare or Frills. However, if we breed with an available species, it will only produce the common's egg, not ours. Similar to holidays, but we don't even get a special day to produce eggs of our own. We should.

 

Shalia and I have grown closer over Kat's hiatus. I find myself spending more and more time with her each day.

 

On a brighter note, there are some new arrivals. There is a new purple egg. Ribona is very excited. Male purples have been discovered, and we're praying and hoping that it can be her mate.

 

The second is an egg that I, myself, am disgusted and intrigued with at the same time. It is dark gray, with a marking that looks almost like a bleeding cross on it. It is stone cold and appears dead. Still, Kat was just about dying with excitement when she brought it to the cave. Something about 'waiting forever' and 'can't believe I caught one' or 'thought I had been too slow'. Whatever. The egg is... interesting, to say the least.

Dear Journal,

 

We have yet to reach the caves of our territory, but we are getting closer. It should only be one or two more days until we arrive! We have driven off three more groups of wild dragons, one was a clan of 4 winters led by a Snow Angel; the seccond was a Male Silver, and a female sunset, geode and Magi, and two hatchlings (one Sunset and the other a Magi); the third group was a clan or 6 Seasonals, led by a male Winter.

 

Uzara's egg hatched late, she was almost going to cry when it refused to hatch on time. But it has Hatched, into a Sunrise to. She also discovered the other egg that Zephyr has, and Zephyr agreed to let it mate with Uzarah's child if they gender opposet. The poor egg seems to be having troubble hatching, but Zephyr said that it should be hatched tonight, so It will be a sunset.

 

We also have a baby male Hellfire Wyvren, but he is not our only Adult Hellfire's egg. Virtia is extreemly pleased that another of her breed has joined us, but Zephyr had forbidded her to breed with him, as she wants her to breed with a CB Hellfire, and this new hatchling, named Jemett, is a seccond Generation Hellfire.

 

We need to get going now, I will update tonight sometime,

Dear Journal,

 

The caves are within sight!it may only take another half day of walking to reach the caves, then we will have our new home!

 

We have found crystals growing everyware around the territory, and the closer we have gotten to the caves, the more there are. So far we have seen red, blue, green, brownish, and light blue crystals, and the Bluna priest Arvin told us they are filled with power. We have also seen amazing animals that we have never seen before, and we have see them absorbing the energy from the crystals! The Magi dragons are all exited about this new energy sorce and these new creatures.

 

Zephyr asked if Dewfrost could take her flying to meet the neighbouring tenders, and she asked if the three new pink's could escort them. She also asked the Vampire Riannon to bite an egg for her to take. One of the pinks just returned with a new hatchling! It is black and is the child of a CB black/gold pair. I wonder if Zephyr will get back before we arrive?

 

We are all so happy to be almost home!

Every time I go and check the new eggs and hatchlings I always found one Black hatchling. Why? Why does Play always taking them home? I mean, well they are warriors and its nothing bad about that, but why is it always hatchlings? Why never Black eggs?

 

Some months ago Pearl was sleeping outside the cave. When she woke up she found two Vine eggs, and ofcourse she took them home. I dont get why. We already have so many Vines here, we dont need more. They kill all the plants and making the White dragons weak of hunger.

 

Why do Play love thease kind of evil dragons? I really dont get that. Well, I have to go now, its my turn to watch the eggs.

Dear Diary,

 

Crammed Hi My Sweetheart again. Dalang and I still cried at the soppy parts. I was going to sleep with my Pink Panther plush toy but I found this wriggling yellow mass that was taking up my special place.

 

I yelled at it to go away but it started to wail loudly. Then I loooked again and saw that it was...fluffy. And had a beak and feathers. I was yelling at a chick. A chick? hmm, does that spell fried buffalo wings for the next Man U clash?

 

Apparently now. ChickDemon, according to Drac, is a trade for yet another of her CB Vampire eggs. (I hate it when she forces Aunt GhostlyDemon to bite, you should see her when she sees the egg changes.) It was going to be a chicken and was a 'rare'. Rare? Pooh, and I thought GoldernDemon and Aunt PlantiniumRage were rares. They're gold and silver, 'kay?

 

No kidding but I'll have to get used to this one.

Dear Journal,

 

We have finaly made it to the mouth of the caves! There are many smaller openings and ledges higher up, but this ground level entrance opens into the largest cavern. Since we are all so exausted, we are all going to sleep here, and sort out where everyone will be living later.

 

Zephyr and Dewfrost got back, and they no longer had the sunset hatchling they left with, but they still had the vampire egg. She says she will try again tomorrow to find the tender is is going to.

 

Uzarah's son grew up while we were unloading the nocturnes from their travel boxes. It is such a shame that they can not travel by day. Well Zephyr asked me to name them before I go to sleep. As she has half the say in the names, I had to agree to do it when she wanted me to.

 

We named Uzarah's son Prince Vexeth Moonrise, and the other hatchling Zephyr insisted on naming Teatime Snack. I thaught it was rediculus, but apparently all the dragons in it's linage have similar names, and the tender who gifted it to Zephyr asked that this naming scheam be continued.

 

We are all so tired, I will write again later.

Finally, Slaw Sunne's finished his entry! His name means "slow sun", because he's slow and enjoys sunbathing. Note that he's slow physically and... mentally.

And by the way, the writing in blue is something I stuck in there.

Sometime in the warm season

That girl Feather or whatever recently got a few eggs for us. Now we have a Skyw... Skyw... well whatever it was. She's an adult. Springan thinks we should name her something like Clud. That sounds dumb to me. We could name her Clowd or something. She wants to name herself. Stubborn.

There are three hatchlings as well. One's black with purple fins on its back. One is pink. One is a Spring hatchling. And one's a green egg with pink splotches. It's supposedly one of us. Ha, yeah right. We only have pink on our wings, head, and tail. There are no splotches. Springan Feberis, Gendre, Aprilis, Springan Flur, and Grene are so dumb. That egg is clearly not one of us.

 

Lately the sun's been getting much more hotter outside and I think the hottest season is coming. The girl's really excited. She says she's going to nab a few more "seasonal summer eggs". Frankly I think she should just cool it. She says that these eggs only come out around summertime. There's always next summer.

Really, some of the dragons in the cave are super-high-strung. Calm down and watch the little birdies fly by! The Wingsky (right, that's what it's called) also ought to land. It's only fair. She can't just fly all day.

And then there's Aquatic Lights, Lacus Dwellan, and Orion's Waterwalker. They's always in the water. Just not Orion. She walks on top of it. They need to come onto land. I've never seen any of them, actually, 'cause they're always in the water or on the water. Springan Feberis says it's 'cause they can't come onto land. I dunno. I think they're too lazy.

 

I met this dragon from the Wilderness the other day. She doesn't have a name but I think she should. I'd name her Bellitat Flor. [it means "beautiful flower".] She's called a Summer Dragon and I think she's the most pretty thing I've ever seen. I don't see many of her kind in the Wilderness.

I wrote a little poem for her but I only have one word: Belliat. She deserves more than that.

Dear Journal,

 

We have set up camp in the mouth of our new cave. Due to the aboundance of crystals in the valley, we have named our new territory the "Crystal Valley". That makes me the leader of the Crystal valley Clan.

 

We have been investigating the new species that inhabit the territory, and have found that many of them use the energy from the crystals to survive! The nearest plain to here is full of ferns, and there is a herd of giant brown beasts living there. We have also seen large green deer-like beasts in the forrest, absorbing energy from green crystals that are growing out of the trees and undergrowth.

 

Nurrowin says he will be in charge of investigating these beasts.

 

I will write later, I must go and organise a hunt.

I think I hatched.... I remember being in the egg where it was very warm but now

there's no walls around me. When I hatched, no one was awake but about 20 minutes ago everyone woke up. Then I was lifted up by a strange creature with amber eyes,

cat ears and tail but had wings also. She said her name was roobot5 but I could call her

roobot. Then she brought me over to a horse dragon. roobot said she's my mom even if she's a different breed. Then she left me with "mom" who explained her name was stemilina. Mom also said my father was kanakanavo, a green dragon who was still asleep. I asked what gender am I? and she said no one knows until I grow up. I began to take in my surroundings. Aside from stemilina and kanakanavo, there was only one other adult dragon, a red female whose name I later learned- toranovine. As for other hatchlings, there was a quite plain-looking dragon and a blue dragon with a pink cloud.

I got up and went over to them. Hi, I said to the blue dragon. Hi, it replied, my name is

konokrissicross and over there is matalat. matalat came over and said what's your name? I suddenly realized I didn't know! I ran over to mom, and she said I was named for her and dad. She said my name is kanastemilvo.

Dear Diary

 

I am feeling so scared, and so alone. But still, this place is filled with more than 200 dragons, and still I feeling so alone.

 

Today they told me that I now count as an adult, and that I could be sent to our real home and leave the hatchery. First I went really happy, but now I just miss my friends. I grow up with two others white hatchlings and a vampire. The vampire and I become the greatest friends, which people think is very weird. I still dont get why, but the White dragons and the Vampire dragons really don't like each other here, but like I said I don't know why.

 

The other white hatchlings turned into a male and a female. The male was a bit older than me and the female a bit younger. I really like the female, she was really helpfull and funny, she helped me to control my powers. Even if Im older than her she is much smarter and faster than me when it comes to magic.

Now we all are adults. The vampire and the white dragons. I can't meet the vampire because vampires and whites aren't allowed to meet each other exept when the vampires have their biting period. Then we can see them, and only to protect the egg. We can't talk to the vampires.

 

I don't know where Seyx, the male white, are. Right when he grow up Djalë took him away. Some dragons have told me that Djalë is going to learn Seyx control his powers, but I dont get it, doesn't he has the same power as me?

 

And I'm not allowed to meet the female either. They told me that now when we are adults we aren't supposed to meet each other untill the female "is ready". Ready.. for what? They have told me that I'm supposed to be her mate, and I don't mind that at all, she is really cute, but what am I going to wait for? None has talk to me about this things..

 

The grown-ups world aren't so funny and great that I thought it would be.

It is later this day. I have learned many new thing about this strange world. For one, roobot came over and explained everything about eggs and our home. I found it very interesting when she took me to a smaller cave in the back and showed me 2 eggs. She said that one of them is close to hatching, because it has a large hole in the front.

I hope it hatches soon so we can have a new playmate! roobot also said that our cave is very small compared to others, so I have to be extra careful if anyone comes in the cave, because they might want to take me and the others. I really hope that doesn't

happen. Another amazing thing that happened is that dad took me outside the cave. I thought the world was small. Now I know it's huge! Dad also showed me how he can pile up boulders. He said I will be able to do it to some day. For now, I have to settle on pebbles. One more thing. Ive noticed that konokrissicross is sprouting a few scales. I hope when it grows up it will still be my friend!

2 major things happened today. The first is that roobot got a new egg. She says it's a green dragon, just like me. The second is that the egg hatched! The hatchling, penadelot, is black with red fins on it's back. It is very nice, and roobot even gave me the important task of showing it around! Oops, I guess I haven't really described our cave yet. There's a very small hole for the entrance, so the adult dragons have to duck. There's a big chamber at the front, and several other smaller caves for the adults, the hatchlings, and roobots sleeping place. In the back of roobot's cave, there is the egg cave. Actually, hatchlings sleep with there mom for the first few nights, same with eggs. Aside from that, toranovine(roobot's first dragon), sleeps with the eggs every night to keep them warm. After I had shown penadelot everything, it was time to pick out nests in the hatchling chamber. konokrissicross wanted penadelot to make it's nest next to her/he's(we don't know yet). matalat didn't like that. Indeed, matalat hadn't liked penadelot from the start. I looked at konokrissicross, eagerly badgering penadelot to make it's nest next to it's. I wondered, could matalat be jealous? Wow. Eventually, we settled on this. From left, me, penadelot, konokrissicross, matalat.

Drac was in the cave, taking down some notes. According to her, it's about 'progeny' and tracks our children. It doesn't sound very appealing. She's trying for a metallic again, but to no avail. She never really succeeded with either Planti or Goldern anyway. Her Trios aren't doing much either. Me?

 

I'm just louging around the pool, listening to Uncle Whirli's stories. They're all so fascinating. Mom's busy helping out with the dishes, and we, the men, listen. She loves Dad so much that they're nearly inseparable. Once, Mom even sneaked a kiss on him. That was fun.

 

I'll need to go-my brothers are trying out the new 'Atomic Bluna' game online.

I take back my theory that matalat is jealous of penadelot. Really, we don't even know our genders yet! But last night I learned a new emotion--fear, in the shape of a thunderstorm. Lightning clashed and thunder tore my pride right out of me. I ran back to mom, squealing. matalat will never stop on me for that one. roobot seemed worried too, when I told her I had seen 2 battling shapes--right in the middle of a lightning ball. These 2 shapes were unbelievably huge, one seeming to have lightning coming off it, and the other with red eyes. After that, roobot called a meeting between the adult dragons. Me and penadelot tried to eavesdrop, but all we caught was "thunder" "battle" "vamp" and "wild". we shared this with konokrissicross and matalat, and konokrissicross was the only one who knew something. It reasoned that this "vamp" was maybe the dreaded vampire dragon roobot had once told it about. Maybe. Oh, I hope it wasn't that. The last thing for now is that dad is going to take me flying. Well, not really flying, but he's going to carry me on his back. Mom's coming too. Maybe we'll even do some hunting! It would be cool to see how our deer dinner last night got caught.

Guess what! konokrissicross grew wings! And we found out the gender. Female! But that could cause some problems if matalat and penadelot both are male. Wait, I revised my jealous theory. Anyway, flying yesterday was great. kanakanavo (dad) is a strong flier, but stemilina (mom) just likes to go fast. She even did her barrel roll! I'm not going flying anymore today, but roobot and toranovine are going to take konokrissicross on her first flying lesson. I wonder how that will turn out. Also, I got up the courage to ask matalat weather or not konokrissicross will still be our friend when she grows up. He replied "she'd better be!" Not really sure if that's good or not. On another topic, we haven't heard anything on the dragons in the storm. konokrissicross says if she gets told when she becomes an adult, she'll tell us. Guess that means she'll still be our friend. Maybe. But ive been having nightmares about the storm dragon with red eyes, the vampire one. I think I will sleep with mom tonight.

konokrissicross's flying lessons went well. Even stemilina admitted that she had never seen any dragon catch on that fast. I wonder why I have started calling mom and dad by their real names. Maybe it's a sign I'm maturing. In other news, roobot says konokrissicross will probably be a adult by morning. I wonder what it's like being a adult? And I wonder if konokrissicross will miss us in the adult chamber. I think I will go eat dinner. kanakanavo caught a buck!

Another dragon we don't know came in during dinner. Now all the hatchlings except konokrissicross are stuck in the egg chamber. We can hear stuff from the main chamber I don't want to discribe. In fact___

I guess I should explain what happened. toranovine came into the cave while I was writing last time, and I got really freaked out. That's why I had to stop so suddenly last time. Then we were all led into the cave, (which was a relief because-well, I'll tell you later) and roobot was talking to the strange dragon and another being like her. This one had the same cat ears, cat tail and wings but seemed....... darker, somehow. This one was clothed in purple instead of orange, and instead of amber eyes the left one was pure blue, and the right one pure black. roobot noticed us come over. Guys, I'd like you to meet dawn. She's a good friend of mine who raises storm dragons and vampire dragons. She's big on dueling, and it turns out those were her dragons in the storm. Also, we just had a dueling match. I'm sorry if you guys thought it was a real battle. While she was talking, I stared at konokrissicross. She was grown up! Following my gaze, roobot said oh, yeah, that happened during the battle. Hey, and look at you, matalat! You grew up too! (That's why it was so uncomfortable in the egg chamber). From my calculations, matalat matured about 30 minutes after konokrissicross, growled toranovine. matalat:............ I'm a girl. 0_0 Wow, didn't see that one coming. Back to dawn and roobot. Well, got that over, lets move on. Everyone, dawn will be staying in the neighboring cave. Yeah, and in case you didn't know, this storm dragon is the first I ever got. His name is elecX, said dawn. Well, see you, I said in a small voice. dawn left after that. roobot then said everyone had to go to bed. Awwwwwwwwwwww............ Wait, said toranovine, Iwant to show everyone something in the egg chamber. We all followed her, and we all gasped when we saw that a green egg with yellow stripes had a crack in it. I think tomorrow I will get a new egg, said roobot.

Dear Diary,

 

The cave has been chaos ever since Cyberium , a female Hellfire, showed up. Noit long after she grew up, she fell in love with the valentine dragon Sweetling snap. IT was a shock to us, as hell and valentines usally don;t go together. Still, we accepted the arragement without question. It was considered dishonorable to questions ones choice of mate.

Now, we all see it was a mistake to letthis arrangment go by peacefully.

 

Hellfires have taken over the cave, scaring hatchlings and fighting with the other dragons. Not only that, but all of the holiday dragons have joined sides with the hellfires, each ahving found a hellfire mate. It has become all out war.

 

It has become, a Holiday Hell.
