I've attempted it a couple times. For my one female red dorsal with the code "kmom" I named her Daughter of Obedience.

 

Then I have a male striped that I couldn't for the life of me come up with a name for. Eventually I tried incorporating it's code into a name (which is "hnpd"), but after the best I could come up with was Hot n' Pissed (yes, really), I grew frustrated and ended up naming it Persnickety Draco instead.

I've done it once or twice. My latest is my black male hatchling: it has the code ab8Y, and i told myself that if it was a girl I'd name it Abby.....

 

...well, I went ahead and named him Abby anyway. I couldn't resist! I hope he doesn't take it out on me.

I do this all the time. My last silver had a code of with gif in it so I had to name him Animated Sterling.

I had the most HILARIOUS code come up in relation to it's breed.

 

I grabbed a balloon dragon, and it's code was "aton" (caps messed) XDXDXD!

I adopted a gold egg with the code 4gpA (4.0 GPA - grade point average) so I named her Lady Sorcha Egghead. Egghead because she's smart if she has a 4.0 GPA

I recently bred my dragons Orlena Honeybee and Forbidden Tryst (named for his code TryS). Their child has the code loVe , so I named her Honor of Love (based on a song most probably haven't heard or don't remember).
