so i know that i get an orange canto if i trade the egg, but if another person offers a canto egg to my public trade, does that egg also get color influenced? or only my egg?

both eggs involved in the trade will be orange, unless another BSA is used after the trade to change the color. you can influence the egg after the trade, but don’t use any other BSA like incubate, precog, ward, or earthquake…if you want it to hatch as an orange Canto

If you accept their trade, then both eggs will hatch orange (unless one of you uses another color-changing BSA on them after receiving the egg.)

 

Keep in mind that you must complete a Teleport if you want it to hatch orange.  If you just put it in a trade then cancel the trade or let it hatch and break the trade then it will not hatch orange.  Likewise, if you offer a canto on somebody else's trade and then either cancel your offer or get declined your egg will not hatch orange.

If you want to keep your own egg and turn it orange (from teleport) you can ask for help in this thread.

You can find someone to help you teleport the egg to them and then they teleport it back to you.
