i want a cb breeding pair of every breed that can have one, and pink sapphs have been a real problem for me. i kept releasing sapphs onto the ap and being unable to click them (turns out you cant reclaim your own abandoned eggs for some reason), so now i just refresh looking for someone else's sapph to steal. none on the trading hub currently either. is the best way to get a pink sapph just to get lucky when viewing the ap or is there an easier way? and if i were to trade for one, what would they be worth?

You have to haunt the AP or trade. (Trade was how I got mine....) Yes indeed - you cannot reclaim your own eggs until someone else picks them up first - and with pink sapphires that isn't going to happen. Trading - open the trading page, select sapphires and see what people are asking. I have traded for - a pair of 2 gen golds; and a 3 gen even prize together with a CB blue sapphire - just see what people ask when there's one up there. There is no easy way - sorry.

An alternative is joining a discord server where people are willing to help catch and return a sapphire. I'm not sure if it's allowed in the official one--it might fall under something like IOU rules--but there's at least two unofficial servers I know of that have areas for it.

You could for sure keep an eye on this thread, and see if you can get lucky and time checking the AP when someone's said they released some? Otherwise, I think folks have done coordinating before, like Shadowdrake said. I'm not sure if it's disallowed, the forum thread I saw seems inactive but it wasn't closed/removed so I would GUESS it's all right to try?

Edit: Immediately saw one on the Trading Post, I'm not sure what the 'value' is but probably popular uncommons or a rare would be worth a try? I also find offering several hatchlings rather than eggs seems to work better, but it really does depend on what the individual likes/wants.

You should check this thread out if you want to turn your own blue sapphire pink.  I've had good experience with the folks running it. :D
