My Adventure! :iraptor:

Breeds and Genders sent: Hooded Murkling (1 M), Fanalea (1 M), Pyrrhichios (1 M,), Furor (1 M), Astralophyne (1 M), Thundersnow (1 M)

Seeking male or female Scourgekeeper?: Female

Result: (Failure or Success): Success (finally!)

Remarks: My first success! I note people are having more successes in the past few days. (Yay!) I sent one of each type of dragon, all of them the opposite sex to the one I was seeking. I don't know if this helped or not. But I do see the flavor text refers to sending different types of dragons as supposedly increasing the odds. Don't know how much that played into it. I had seen that flavor text before, but decided to go with more adventures instead of fewer ones in hopes that I would get lucky. Then I decided to go back to fewer adventures with more adventurers in each one.  I would send out a similar female brigade except I don't have all six types yet off cooldown.

Screenshot under spoiler.

I wanted to jump in and say that all my dragons’ first adventures were a fail. I had at least one of each breed and sent them out in huge groups or singles/pairs. Got nothing.

Once I waited 14 days for the refresh and sent out the same dragons, I got 2 Scourgekeepers back to back (sent out in pairs and singles).

The exact same thing happened to my brother. It was almost like the dragons get more experienced after their first failures, and the chances for success are higher if you reuse dragons than hatch new ones. Not sure if this is actually how it works, but I found it to be an interesting pattern.

It really seems chances of getting BBEGs from adventuring got higher lately, having 8 of them now starts feeling weird lol^^ Do I really want even more? But maybe for nice lineages its worth it.

Edit: mine were also all re-adventurers! In case its important for the theory that they do better than in first rounds.

I’ve only done solo missions after my first try, and now have 5 pairs of ScourgeKeepers. I think that’s all I really need for now.

I love this btw, they look like an old married couple:

I am leaning toward more experienced adventurers getting the scourge. as all of my first timers failed miserably and then suddenly second rounds had better results. I am up o 9 now.

Well, I did have one success with a first-timer at the weekend, even though I only sent four recently grown up solo adventurers. Might be coincidence, who knows, but it certainly didn't feel like that after 40 failures! Out of my nine veterans, five had better luck than on their first try. This is a very curious change, all in all, but I'm still definitely not complaining, heh! 😸

I sent about 5 solos out today. One was a new comer, four were experienced and got 2 scourgekeepers. The newbie did not succeed  and two that did were the experianced ones. I am seeing roughly 1 in 5 succeeding at the moment.  although today was 2 in 5

Since I don't keep detailed records, but if you are curious. I keep the scourges and the retired in different groups. the advanturer responsible for befriending the scourge is named after that scourge.

For example Lord Ulchtar is the scourgekeeper and he was found by Friends of Ulchtar

I've had three successes in a row with this combination:

cU9n6.gif  I85f6.gif

These two happen to be my least favorites of the bunch, and they first ended up paired together when I had already failed with all the ones I like better.   Sometimes life's funny that way.  :D

I stopped recording and also adventuring for a few after having 12 sourcekeepers, wasn't sure if I really want that many lol.

Today I got another pair, just sending out my adventurers one after another until they succeed, seems not really special anymore o.O

ALL of mine were done with single adventuring.

Getting eggs feels much more difficult, but I finally got my second today.

I think TJ might have updated the success rate to 100% if you use all six types in an adventure. I just had a multitude of adventures succeed today with ZERO fails.

But breeding eggs has definitely gone way down in success. I had no successes, despite 4 chances of breeding purebloods. I've never had any luck yet breeding half-bloods, even though I've seen those types in the hatchery sites.

Just had 4 successes each with a set of 1 of every breed, and then later decided screw it, I'll try with my one left over solo Astralophyne and had another success. Don't know if I'm just unreasonably lucky or if the success rate indeed was upped; two groups out of the 5 I sent out were vets, the rest fresh.

Breeds and Genders sent: All of them (20 dragons) but solo each time

Seeking male or female Scourgekeeper?: Both

Result: Failures (13) Success (7; 4 male; 3 female)

Worthy Critical Role mention:
(Of course i named the Scourgekeeper after Vecna)

I just tried as many full sets as I have, and they were all successes!

I don't know if the genders of the adventurers make a difference in success rate. But I'm interested to see what keeps happening!

From my experience, I think the best way to get a Scourge is to send your dragons without thinking about what you're doing XD
