I wonder that as well.  Plus, when I look at them, their coloration includes green, yellow, and red.  While their flames are green, maybe it also has something to do with their body colors.

I tried Pyro x Hydrophidius and Striped River, both give Orange 🥲 Was hoping for bald.

Okay, I did 3 tests.

 

Tercorns = no change

 

Balloon had a no interest and no change.

 

Turpentines = no change

When the Pyropellis change colour, do they also change position on your scroll? You know, like Aegis after using their BSA.

Pretty as the Pyropellis are, wouldn't color changing flames complicate some lineages? Do the colors stay that way or change with each breeding?

The Arcanas are still so weird, it could have been up to gender before but now there's a green result with both male and female. So was that orange one a fluke or is the chance not 100%...?

OR it's sex-based - the no change was from a female and the green from a male.

@Fuzzbucket No, it was the other way around, male=orange and female=green. But Stromboli just disproved that as I said.

this one was unexpected though... youd think this would make the cyan variant, but female hellfires are orange.

 

male astaarus makes orange, as does luminox.

ive also texted blue xols, aeons, and spitfires, and they are all orange. 

 

i was just testing with aeons and xols, but spitfires i really thought would produce a cyan variant... 

guess not..?

If it's random, then some of the no-change results are probably just bad luck.

 

Holding off on breeding mine because I have some earthquaking to do, but I'm looking forward to experimenting.

@Dinala1641882, is is possible to sort at least the column for orange/no change? That will make it easier to see if a breed has already been tried.

Never mind, I see that's been done. I'd remove the ping but you've already been pinged and that would just confuse you to not find one.

 

Edited to add: I know you've all seen that "no interest" will still cause the color tNeo change. We've learned that refusals do NOT change the color. I guess if the dragons are refusing to even get close, they're not close enough to affect the flame. Makes sense.

Yeah, not looking forward to having to retest all of those. Hoping the early no-changes were glitches.
