Yellow Sapphire Egg not showing in encyclopedia

So according to the encyclopedia when you hover over a shadow, you need to possess one egg or view 5 to get the image to unlock, right?

I present the following:

Certainly hope this glitch is finished soon. It's hair-raising trying to get the yellow egg to appear without dying. Hatchling-turning is so much less stressful.

Eggs count toward the encyclopedia however they are when you first get them. So if you get a blue egg and turn it yellow it counts as a blue. In order to unlock the yellow image you need to either view eggs on other people's scrolls or obtain it after it's already been turned yellow. I remember having the same trouble trying to unlock the red Xol egg.

But I was able to unlock it by turning my CB Egg Yelllow.

Are you sure you didn't view another yellow egg somewhere? Because from all the other posts I have seen about this, turning your own egg yellow should not unlock it.

And it doesn't - I had two and was still well locked till I went fan site trawling.

I do not remember looking for yellow Spahires. 🤔 I mean I did not look for them in fansites or anything.

You may have "accidentally" viewed them in a fansite, though.

That is possible. Good to know. I was wondering why NDs I saw as eggs in the ER would not count towards my Hatchie-Observation after they hatched. Might be the same effect.

Anything that you viewed as an egg wouldn't count as a hatchie - or as an adult - for a month afterwards. (I THINK it's a month that it "knows" you have viewed it already.) The same applies to unlocking Stratos and Spirit Ward variants - you can view your own - but only once in a month.
