Posted May 8, 2021 (edited) HEY ALL!! So it’s been a good while since I was last truly active here. Life happened, as it does, I learned skills and things. Even dabbled in animation! Like 3D animation!! It was some incredibly frustrating stuff! Having got my seven-year-long pet-project out of the way, I’ve begun work on another one. Most of my art is a part of it, and if you came here lookin for the anatomically-accurate hyperrealistic things as I used to try to draw, I’m afraid I set it aside in favour of more fantastical beasts that bend a few rules. Turns out creature design isn’t always about locking yourself in with a bunch of rules, and I’m sad that I didn’t figure that out sooner. I still find studying anatomy an absolute blast, regardless. It’s tempting to upload *everything* I’ve done that I like, but I’ll pace myself. I truly hope you all enjoy my efforts. It’s been a good two years of pushing myself further than ever before, replacing traditional art with digital for good. AND NOW! ART. Posted May 12, 2021 (edited) More anatomy! Taking creature designs I’ve made and drawing a skull accordingly. These are all weird creatures from a world I created, where realism played a larger role. Revenants! These pained and horrifying creatures have a dark backstory. They are extremely violent. Referenced a number of unusual skulls. Congenital defects, unusual hybrids, disease, or just strange-looking critters. Triggerfish got weird teeth. Doodle I made for a friend 💕 An experimental reversal of my usual critter design workflow! There’s been a noticeable evolution in my style over the last few months, not that i can show it off proper because my internet speed is so bad right now it’s a minor miracle i can even get these smaller pieces uploaded 😭 redraw of an earlier piece! zinogre bros.
