Get rid of the hentai ads.

Recommended Posts

I've noticed these popping up on DragCave within the past month or so and they're actually making me really uncomfortable.

...and similar content from that same "manga" store. Looking up the series in question, it's definitely pornographic 18+ material. Not everyone on this site is above 18, and while I am well above 18, I find porn incredibly distasteful, especially when it's on a fairly PG-rated game site.

Tj doesn't set the ads. You can report it using the symbol in the corner or if you get the link code TJ can blacklist it.

Yeah, TJ uses the adservice from Google but its ad selection is both very broad and only loosely managed. If you let TJ know he can request Google to keep it off his site entirely.

All 18+ ads should be blocked already, unless the advertiser itself is trying to abuse the system. There is an "x" in the top right corner of the ad that will hide the ad permanently and let you report it as "inappropriate" which will aid in getting it removed.

I don't see how that's specifically NSFW personally... But I also suggest just getting an adblocker. Then you'll only ever see the ads for getting a subscription to remove ads. Plus it benefits you across the internet. alot

Like LadyLoki said, getting an adblock should help you prevent the advertisers placing a tracking cookie on your browser in the first place, to ensure the majority of ads aren't presented to you. This could improve your internet experience by ensuring your browser uses up less bandwidth, overall increasing page loading speeds and saving you the annoyance of even having to see any type of ads, lewd or not. :)

If you'd rather not get an adblock, however, I recommend you goto this site: https://optout.aboutads.info

This site allows you to opt out of over 100 interest-based advertising companies which participate with the WebChoices tool, so you won't see their ads. I'm hoping you will be able to have more control over the ads in your browser. However, since your preference is stored as a cookie meaning that, if you delete your browsing history often, you will have to go to this site very regularly. And I don't think it allows you to opt out of seeing the ads of companies which don't participate in the tool.

Since advertising companies place advertising cookies onto your browser, it would be a good idea to clean your browsing history.

Also, because Google manages the adservice (the ads you see), if you have a Google account you can change your ad settings to personalise what you do and do not see. This is the same with Facebook - they track you too. There are a lot of good guides online to help you avoid facebook tracking - my favourite is using 'Facebook Container' on Mozilla.

If I got anything wrong here, please feel free to correct me. Either way, I hope this helps. :)
