Maximizing Vampire Bite Success?

Recommended Posts

Since Bite can only be used once every 31 days and failing takes up a kill slot, it's always sad when I fail to turn an egg and it dies. However, I tend to use fresh eggs from the biomes and I was wondering if the age of the egg affects my chances of success in any way. And I know that your chances of making a zombie depend on the time of day/day of year-- does Bite have a similar mechanism? The dragcave fan Wiki doesn't have any info on it so I figured that more experienced users here might have some info, even if it's just anecdotal evidence. Thanks y'all.

I havent seen a correlation; I try to just use it on AP messies Im sick of grabbing over and over. However lately all died XD well at least they are gone for good.

In the past I have done it on messy holidays, with success, and accidental CB grabs successfully. Id say my success rate is not too different between the two, it can be waves of good and bad luck.

I swear certain vamps have a lower success rate than others innately. I have had one just always kill from memory.

I have nothing on time of day tho. Because of my timezone I am often on in DC daytime, so that would likely make up most of my bite times.

I'm pretty sure it's a flat chance no matter what you do. 50% success, 25% kill, 25% repulse, if I recall correctly.

Here are some more stats:

For a while, I was convinced that I had my best chances with green eggs because a random streak of good and bad luck had killed off only the non-green ones when biting XD

@Ruby Eyes Thanks for the link!

So it seems like it's mostly up to chance, then. I know that it's not confirmed whether or not the rates are exactly 50:25:25, but looking at that thread it seems to be close enough to it. I guess I just gotta keep trying, then. Thanks
