Posted August 13, 2020 (edited) The Four Kingdoms Many many years ago, four different dragons founded the dragon Kingdoms. The Igne Aestas, Hibernis Aquis, Ver Terram, and Autumnus Aer Kingdoms to be exact. These four Kingdoms have been at peace for nearly a millennia. But something has happened... The Autumnus Aer queen has declared war on the Igne Aestus Kingdom. The Hibernis Aquis Kingdom has allied themselves with the Autumnus Aer and the Ver Terram Kingdom is neutral. But this isn't your typical war. Is the Ver Terram Kingdom truly neutral? Or is something much more sinister going on behind the scenes? Who are truly the good guys? But the question everyone is asking themselves is: Will the war ever end? In the world of Tementa, dragons roam free. Humans are nothing more than a light snack and strange plants like the carnivorous Ira Herba (which literally means anger grass) populate the many forests. It is a marvelous and sometimes terrifying place. So now you have a choice. Will you dare to venture into Tementa and it's Four Kingdoms? Rules 1. NO POWER PLAYING If you keep doing it repeatedly after you have been warned, you will no longer be allowed to role play in the Four Kingdoms. 2. FOUR CHARACTERS MAX PER KINGDOM And you may only have two high ranks per Kingdom. You may have as many Outlaws, wanderers, e.t.c as your heart desires. Also, you are only allowed one High Queen/King. 3. DO NOT BE INACTIVE If you are inactive for a long period of time without excuse, then you will also be banned. It's fine if you're sick or going on hiatus or something, but please tell me beforehand if possible. 4. ASK BEFORE YOU HARM ANOTHER OC If you're about to seriously harm or kill a dragon, please ask the other role player first. This also goes for crushes, mates, e.t.c. 5. BE KIND This is perhaps the most important rule. I will not tolerate bullies on Four Kingdoms. Tementa Here's some more info about the world of Four Kingdoms. There is only one continent (called Tementa) and it is divided into four sections via a long mountain range. This mountain range is know as The Great Divide. At the heart of Tementa, where all the kingdoms touch is a safe haven for all dragons called Salutem. Each Kingdoms has a unique climate. The Igne Aestas territory is riddled with dangerous sinkholes and active volcanoes. The Autumnus Aer territory is comprised of open fields and mountain ranges. The Hibernis Aquis Kingdom thrives in the frozen lakes and harsh temperatures they call home. Ver Terram citizens reside in beautiful meadows and forests. Igne Aestas dragons are traditionally miners, jewellers, and blacksmiths whereas Autumnus Aer dragons wander from town to town, playing their different and unique instruments. Hibernis Aquis citizens are mainly fisherdragons, sawing holes through the ice in search of seals and the rare orca. Ver Terram dragons love to invent new medicines and strange concoctions, using plants only they know how to grow. Posted August 19, 2020 (edited) You have a good base for this However, in order to get it in shape for approval, you'll need more information. Additionally, the tenses of your verbs switch repeatedly between past and present. Regarding information: - Tell potential members more about the world they'll be writing in. Does each Kingdom have a unique climate? What region of the continent(s) does each Kingdom occupy? Are some larger than others? How about unaffiliated towns/villages/cities that aren't under a Kingdom's rule? Any special or unique characteristics (e.g. one Kingdom is best known for its port cities while another is best known for its metalworkers, etc.)? How about the level of technology and medical advancements? You're not required to go into explicit details but providing a few paragraphs so that members know whether they should expect Medieval culture versus modern culture will help them to design their characters. - Speaking of characters, you mention dragons and humans but what type(s) of characters can members play? Can it be both dragons and humans? Is it exclusive? Are members allowed to play other creatures like dwarves, nymphs, etc.? Are the Kingdoms strictly made up of dragons? If you need additional information, we do have a Rules & Guidelines thread that helps lay out everything in further detail. If you're more interested in just starting the RP as is, without literacy/minimum content requirements, we can move your thread to the Free Forms section.
