In order to move on with her life and deal with some sudden threats, she finds she needs to explore Scott's past and her own hidden memories in order to move forward. Review: I struggled to get into this one at the start but it really took off around the halfway point and I ended up liking it. There's a lot of weird and sort of infantile language ("smucking" and "bad-gunky" are used.... a lot, among others) that was tough to get through, but it was worth sticking with it. Book Number: 14 Number Of Pages: 369 Book Title: The Ruins Author: Scott Smith Summary: Two couples vacationing in Mexico make friends with some of the other people staying at their resort. The brother of one of these new acquaintances has met an archaeologist and traveled with her to visit some ruins in the jungle, but has not come back. The group decides to go find him and spend a day exploring the ruins, but they are completely unprepared for what they will discover. Review: This book was fast paced and hard to put down. That one was a pure rollercoaster of emotions to read.
