How to produce a stat from breeding?

Which xeno pairing(s) gives a stat? Or it’s completely random?

It's random, as far as I can tell... Unless one of its parents is a staterae, of course.

Actually, even then it seems random. I bred my only Staterae the other day (to a non-xeno) and got an Obidar.

Well, I more meant that that would be breeding true versus a totally random result, but perhaps that wasn't the best way to put it. Apologies.

I bread my two 2gen  staterae together and got an Aso (which belongs to someone else so I can't link it.)

 

I also bred one of my CBs to an Aso and got an Aso.

It may be random, but personally, I'd try with two different sets of Xenos with elements that are not in the same category (Creation, Destruction, Change).
