two weeks ago, my cat killed her first mouse. It's crazy to know that she can do such a thing. She didn't bite it, rather her claws clamped the poor thing down.

Heh. A former cat of mine used to play with mice before killing them. Once she even brought it to me right after killing it, set it down by my feet, and meowed plaintively while nudging it. You could practically hear her saying, "It stopped moving! It broke! Fix it! Make it go again!"

We had a cat who accidentally sucked a mouse to death and then had no idea what to do with it...

My mother's bunny once escaped from his garden cage and enjoyed a snack in the nearby strawberry field.

Unfortunately, my mother's dog loved strawberries (even though she was allergic to them) and found the bunny there.

RIP bunny.

One of my dogs likes to kill flies. First, she somehow catches a fly, then licks it until it's too wet to fly away. Then... she either continues licking the fly to death and rolls on the corpse afterwards or skips the extra licking.

I live in the country and used to have problems with mice.  Since I adopted my Starfire cat 4 years ago I haven't seen not even one - alive that is.

Thanks to generations of dogs, there are no more rats, snakes, or possums anywhere near me. The mice are just starting to come back. I had many days where there would be a dead possum or bird waiting for me in the morning. I've also had dogs that caught and killed two squirrels (and ate one of them, it was a baby), along with a cat that got into the backyard one night.

I had a dog that would jump up and catch birds in the air.  They would come down close to him to tease him or try to get his food and he would snap them up.  He never ate them though.
