This is the discussion thread of the ic (in character) thread where you can post your character forms for it. The plot/storyline is here and will be in the ic thread along with the rules but the form will only be here. Plot/storyline:

After generations of peace a small group rose up from their respective nations and began to grow, seeding war and doubt throughout the lands and sea. Very few people know about this small group, and the ones that know are the nobility and royalty of the nations that are involved. Apparently, villages and towns have been decimated in both the Earth and Fire nations. No one knows who's doing it or who’s commanding them. People are scared and an avatar hasn't shown themselves. Meanwhile, the Water and Air nations are getting ready for war.

 

Most people in the Water, Air, Fire, and Earth nations are born with the ability to shift but there are some that weren’t and haven’t yet discovered the ability to. When the raid of the Fire and Earth nations occurred, that caused enough stress for some to develop the ability to shift but it also caused alienation and possible banishment or wanted death from other people that were afraid of their sudden new ability. Some of these people with the newly found ability to shift might feel scared of themselves and like they might hurt others so they hide, get consumed by power and go into a destructive rampage as a result, or they feel the need to want to use their ability for good and help others.

Name: Kirra

Gender: female

Birth place: Crescent Island

Age: 19

Social Status: Warrior

Appearance: she weighs about 130 with a height of 5’3” tall and her hair is chocolate brown in color while her eyes are the same color. her skin is tan complexion in color and she’s about average in build. she exercises regularly while doing the movements of her bending to get a bit better. she also runs every day in the morning and in the afternoon to keep her physique in shape.

Clothing: a red halter top with a matching skirt and brown sandals. she also wears a brass spiral bracelet on her arm (not sure if that’s still a bracelet but eh).

Identifying Marks: she has a sun birth mark on her left shoulder and a burn on her right shoulder that goes down her arm to her wrist that’s in the shape of a dragon. she got it by and from sparring with her brother and dad but it was an accident. she looks at it every time she practices her bending as a reminder of what could happen if she’s not careful as well as working with fire can be dangerous.

Personality: kind when she’s around other people she grew up with on the island as well as family friends, can be a bit mysterious at times which might make people think that she’s hiding something but in reality, she mostly just keeps things to herself while being in deep thought, and can be a bit shy mostly around boys she doesn’t know as she’s not sure how to act around them. she only knows how to talk to and be around her dad and brother and doesn’t want to treat other boys she meets like them (her dad and brother).

Element Bended: fire

Animal Shapeshift: red Eastern Dragon (like in that episode where Aang and Zuko went to that mountain to do the fire bending dance and also Aang’s predecessor’s spirit animal; just smaller). she’s 15’ long still with the chocolate brown eyes that her human form has and fur on her tail and down her back that’s a red-orange color.

Skills: fire bending and shifting as well as some skill with daggers and martial arts.

History: when she was five years old, her mom was killed in an earth bender raid. her dad was stuck in raising both her and her brother alone but he did a good job because they both turned out to be okay. she developed her shifting ability when she was ten after getting the burn scar from the sparring with her dad and brother. at first, the shifting scared her but then she got better control of it after a bit more practice and now it’s a very comforting presence that she can access anytime. at first, the people around her and her family avoided them due to her ability but now they feel comfortable around them again after seeing her work on controlling her newfound ability.

Name: Miho Izisato

Appearance (Height, Weight, Eye, Hair, Skin, Build, and Other in a nice neat paragraph): Miho has pale skin, despite being out in the sun for most of the day. She also has dark crimson red eyes and black, long hair that is usually found in a ponytail when she is wearing her more formal clothes. Otherwise, it will be all down in a nice wave. She has a pretty nice slim and muscular build, as she trains her skills in the art of fire from her father, who is a warrior of the Fire Nation. She is 5'04" (162.6 cm) and she weighs 135 lbs (61.2 kg). She also has a scar that looks like a whip lashed her on her back from a training accident involving fire, which she hides with clothes. It stings every now and then, reminding her of her failure in controlling fire and the beauty and dangers of controlling and uncontrollable element.
Clothing: Miho usually wears the casual Fire Nation clothes, which includes a dark red sweater that ends at the navel and shows off the shoulders with holes, and black jeans with black pointed boots. When she is in her more traditional clothes (which she has to wear when she leaves her house), she can be found in a more red and yellow sleeveless shirt that only ends above her navel with a black collar, and a flowing skirt that goes down to her ankles and has an inner layer of red silk accompanied by an outer later of see-through fabric that glitters in the light. When she is out exploring, she wears nicer commoner clothes not normally found, so a dark red t-shirt, black pants and military boots, and a dark red jacket laiden with Xierxu fur.
Identifying Marks: She has a scar on her back from a fire whip she created during training, but she usually hides that.
Personality: True to her societal standards of how Fire Nation women act, she is both disciplined and logical. She loves having adventures and exploring the world, but she is forced to be cooped up within her city. Still, she has a good head on her shoulders, if her head has a short fuse. Despite her quick and explosive temper, it peters out quite quickly and she doesn't hold grudges. Despite living up to the standards of society, she is pretty easy-going, sympathetic, and understanding. Although, she has issues trying to empathize with others on matters which she is unfamiliar with. Being in a sheltered life, that is most things, especially things that people do to survive, like catching and killing their own food.

Element Bended: Fire (Lightning later)

Animal Shapeshift (appropriate to element): A hell hound. She is 4'00" (121.2 cm) and will weigh 70 lbs (31.8 kg). She will look like an all-black doberman with red flaming eyes and flames will jut out of her paws and along her spine and tail. She can breathe fire in this form and can propel herself forward with the flames on her paws, among other actions. When she is able to use lightning, her ears become stiff and hard like metal and an electrical current will flow in between the ear tips to then be fired in any direction. She may also electrify parts of her body, just as long as the path taken doesn't touch her heart. She may also get faster when using lightning.
Skills: She knows how to fight in different martial arts and fire bending very well, excelling in her training ever since the accident. She can also read people fairly well, but that is pretty much it.
History: Miho lived within the boundaries of the Fire Nation, being born in an unnamed city close to the capital of the Fire Nation. She was born to a warrior, her father, and a teacher, her mother. Due to their professions, she was able to live a happy and content life as a noble. She was spoiled, didn't have any siblings, and was the center of attention of her family and friends. She is also the prodigy child, but she also has issues relating to some people due to her lifestyle, and is very oblivious to the struggles of the commonfolk and those that have to hunt to live. Despite this, she had lived a lovely life until she was unable to talk to her friends from the Water Tribe or Air Temples. Curious as to what was happening around the world, but being rightfully kept from this information, she began to sneak out. The first time, she wasn't caught and came back home without a hitch. The second time, she found her father leaving late at night to work, which wasn't all that common. But he took a different path and she followed. She found her father talking with some higher-ups about something and she had to leave, or else they'd catch her snooping. Now, she is preparing to leave behind her family in search of her friends.

Name: Kiyo Yaniho

Birth Place: Southern Water Tribe
Age: 16

Appearance (Height, Weight, Eye, Hair, Skin, Build, and Other in a nice neat paragraph): Kiyo has light brown hair and a lighter tan skin than those of her tribe. Her eyes are a soft ocean blue and she is 5'06" (167.6 cm) and weighs 120 lbs (54.5 kg). She has a muscular build, yet is more toned for style and beauty than for strength.
Clothing: She wears the usual Water Tribal clothes, which include a blue parka with fur laiden inside and around the hood, fur boots, and very warm light blue pants and shirts with mitts. Her mitts can fold back from the knuckle so she can better use her weapons. When she is in warmer climates (which is anywhere above freezing temperatures), she wears a light blue light shirt with a V collar, dark blue shorts, and sandals.
Identifying Marks: She has no marks whatsoever on her body, lending to her to be a pretty ordinary looking lady. Although, she considers her body to be "identifying".
Personality: For a tribal member, she is quite vain and aggressive. She is more emotional than most people and has a tough time trying to stay calm. The only time she can stay calm is during a battle or when hunting. Even then, her mind is always on something. It is difficult for her to make friends due to her brashness and bossy nature, but she stays loyal till the very end. She also has issues when people don't understand or are ignorant, and has less patience than a member of the Fire Nation.

Element Bended: Water (Blood later)

Animal Shapeshift (appropriate to element): A beautiful sea serpent. She has a beautiful pale top half with glittering red and teal scales all along her bottom half. She has red antennae with long red feelers on her head that help her grasp items and she has a little horn on her head. She has a beautiful fan-like tail and she is 11'03" (315 cm) and she will weigh 170 lbs (77.1 kg). She can bend water better in this form, but she can't change it to and from gas or ice.
Skills: She is good with a spear, but a better waterbender. She is also more empathetic to those who need to do dirty things to survive and she has a good memory to memorize her way around.
History: As a young girl, Kiyo was drilled into her that she had to protect and take care of herself, since her parents wouldn't always be there to save her. Because of this, she grown too vain and practiced with the spear and waterbending to take care of herself. She made friends with a seldom few, but one of those was a Fire Nation noble when she came down one time to meet her family. She thought her to be too spoiled and they got off the wrong foot, but they finally became friends after a day of apologizing and trying to get to know each other. Suddenly, she wasn't able to see her friend and her family needed to move to a different spot, as they were getting word of someone hurting their tribe. To find the evildoers and to find her friend, Kiyo left the comforts of her family, even though it pained her to do so.

Aroara -

 

Name: Yota Ixou (EE - zou)

Gender: male
Birth place: Fire nation (the Sun warrior temple)
Age: 17

Social Status (Peasant, Warrior, Elder, Nobility, Royalty, etc.): Warrior/ fisher

Appearance (Height, Weight, Eye, Hair, Skin, Build, and Other in a nice neat paragraph): Yota is 6'02"(188cm) tall and roughly around 160lbs (72.5 kg). Yota is slender yet muscular with sun tanned skin. His hair is jet black usually around shoulder length and tied in a neat bun making him appear more older then he really is, the fashion typically popular with grown men. A strong chiseled jaw line and natural narrow golden eyes with thin arched eyebrows make him look a little intimidating at first. However on a second look,he has smile lines around his eyes and mouth, and a consistent smirk with a little dimple in his left cheek softens his initially intimidating outlook.  He has a light blue check mark under each eye following the angle of his eyes. Wether it's drawn on or a birth mark it's unknown. 
Clothing: Because of his job, he often wears light tan or creamish yellow tattered sleeveless shirts when on a boat, some dark brown pants cut at the knees and a pointed straw hat on his head. When in town he usually wears traditional red and black clothes, nearly always sleeveless shirts and black/ brown pants with thin sandles. However when he goes on a trip, he dons on his old military school uniform that consists of a black loose sleeved jacket that has the fire nation logo in red on the back, a loose short sleeved shirt and high waisted black pants and pointed  black leather shoes with a thick red waistband tied in the back. To top all of his looks, he wears his father's old hair wrap for his bun, a thin scarlet ribbon with a blue and silver embroidered dragon on it. 

He does wear jewelry, a short leather necklace with a white lotus tile his father kept on him as a good luck charm and that he received before going to school, a gold sun on his right forearm a symbol of the hidden sun warriors it curls around once and spirals into the shape of the sun, and lastly a single silver hoop in his left ear with a small plate with the word "Dragon" stamped in it in gold. 
Identifying Marks: Golden eyes and blue cheek marks like markings under them along his  outer eye sockets
Personality: Yota is very protective of his family, particularly his younger brother often getting into a multitude of fist fights with villagers bullying him. Although usually silent around others, observing the surroundings and assessing the situation, Yota is quick to provide some form of comic relief in the form of some sarcastic and often very awful dad jokes. It's hard to tell wether or not he's optimistic or pessimistic at times with his dry sense of humor. Growing up for a naval officer for a father and going to a military type school, he is strict on orders, rules, and discipline. 
When it comes to his own self esteem, it's quite low, as in humble and modest. However, a downfall of Yota's is not only his willingness to risk life and limb for his brother, but his unyealding loalty and sence of Justice to those who have wronged the weakest among them drives him in a way that is almost cruel to the ones he peruse. 

Element Bended: Fire, azure colored flames (dragon fire later)

Animal Shapeshift (appropriate to element): A fire serpent. Looking like a Chinese dragon with small orange nubs for horns and a thin narrow wolf like face, he's not quite dragon but close  wingless relative. He's a deep red spotted with black scales that look like cooling lava with narrow triangular eyes bright golden yellow like the sun.  He has fur down his spine and a tuft on his tail in a ombre fire color, black snout and a orange colored streak from his nose to the beginning of his hair on top of his head. He has two small check mark like markings in a light blue under his narrow eyes. His front legs are thin and long like a chickens with four toes and a dewclaw while his back legs are wolflike with paws. He has no wiskers and blue flame colored tuffs on his elbows and the back of his legs to his paws.
7' 03" (2.21m) from nose tip to tail tip excluding the fur at the end of it that easily adds an extra 4" (10.16cm) to his frame.  He's 4'08" (1.4m) from ground to shoulder, slender and long (think haku from spirited away.)
In this form he can still bend fire, but now can breath it and control the heat and color of the flame. His weight is difficult to tell, given he can make himself light weight by warming the air in his belly and lungs. He's very fast and can swim, however when wet he can't bend very well.

Skills: He's skilled in firebending learning from the Sun warriors like his mother did. Yota is also a strategist and a skilled fighter in hand to hand combat, as well as a  dueling broadsword. Knowing and understanding he ways of a masted ship, along with a metal one his father worked on, he knows how to navigate his way around the sea. A skill that isn't common among firebenders. 

History: Yota Ixou's father was a relatively high ranking of the fire nation Navy when he was just a year old. His father's crew found a  melting glacier with a weak woman and infant on top of it and brought them abord. The woman, too weak to recover from exposure died shortly after being brought abord. Retiring soon anyway to spend time with his son, Lee took the boy home and raised him like his own. After an argument with his brother when he was four about him not fighting fair, his brother's skills where shown. When this was discovered, his family sold their place and moved to a village by the sea to start up fishing. At the age of Eight he was sent to a military type school before dropping out of it at his current age to take over his father's business when the news about his father's death reached him.

Name: Kaiji Ixou

Gender: male
Birth place: on a Fire nation navy ship in international waters.
Age: 16

Social Status (Peasant, Warrior, Elder, Nobility, Royalty, etc.): Fisher

Appearance (Height, Weight, Eye, Hair, Skin, Build, and Other in a nice neat paragraph): Kaiji is roughly 5'04" (162.6cm) tall and 146lbs (66.22) soaking wet. His skin is a brown color from the sun and sea. He usually has messy ear langth hair that falls into his eyes, and is remarkably brilliant white in which he hides with brown dye. However the dye doesn't last and sometimes it looks like it's flecked with white/silver strands when it begins to fade within a week.  Kaiji is slender, more acrobatic then strong but he does have a little muscle in his arms from lifting heavy nets. His eyes are wide and big, with deep clear dark blue in color. His face is soft, more oval in shape and a soft jawline. His lips are thin with a little crescent scar just to the right of the indent under his nose. 
Clothing: Usually wearing the painest clothes possible, Kaiji has whatever makes him blend in with other people of unimportance. In the Fire Nation it usually consists of a dark red shirt and brown pants, at sea he has on a  white tunic with ripped off sleeves and brown pants that are rolled up to his knees. However, he does have a set of blue and white fur clothing from his Northern water tribe teacher. These consistent of several lairs: a blue top, black pants, black fingerless gloves are the first layer. The second is a white buffalo yack fur trimmed dark blue parka with ice blue sea wave designs and little fish embroidered along the chest part along with white and light blue interlocking triangles following the fur trim. He was also given a pair of black mittens lined with tan buffalo yack fur and black boots. 

He has a single rectangular bracelet woven out of string that has what looks like a pattern of blue flames, but it it really expertly hidden pattern of waves. The clasp of the breaclet are a fire nation and water nation symbol that intertwine when closed. This was a gift from his whole family who each made a part of it after his bending developed, to show they'll love him, no matter what element he bends. 
Identifying Marks: white hair and eyes a deep glacier blue a small scar on his lip from when he was playing with a fish hook when he was a toddler.
Personality: Kaiji is..... difficult to understand. His mood changes as easily as the sea does, going from very hyper to existential dread the next moment when something inconveniences him slightly. Disorganized, clumsy, and unlucky on land, he only truly finds peace and calm in the sea, near water, or on the full moon.  However, when Yota is on a rampage and is looking for the ones who bully him, Kaiji is unusually calm and level headed becoming his brother's voice of reason in the moment. He has a tendency to speak the truth having trouble telling lies, but absolutely no trouble at all keeping secrets to those he promised to. Like Yota, he is loyal, however he is weary of who to trust and trusts his gut and instincts then intuition and intellect. Not that he isn't smart, he is quite brilliant if he puts his mind to things, but this energy is used more in what his interests are rather than others. 

Element Bended: water (healing later)

Animal Shapeshift (appropriate to element) : A large white wolf roughly the size of a Great Dane about 44in (1.118m) tall at the withers and roughly a 150 lbs(68.03kg) with glacier blue eyes, the deep intense blue of thick solid ice. Although it's difficult to bend water with paws, he can still breath frost and ice forms beneath his paws, he can control he thickness of the ice and on water, can form small glaciers he can float on.
Skills: like his brother, Kaiji was trained in firenation self defense and broadsword training. He's skilled at navigation, however his best fighting style is with a bladed boomerang he received from his teacher one visit. He will later be skilled at healing wounds and burns.

Seeing he's a waterbender, the family moved away from the city and started a business of fishing. They had a waterbender teacher come visit them on a northern water tribe ship, however these visits stopped when their village was devastated by what seemed like a natural disaster and the boys father was killed. Now, Kaiji practices his bending by helping them fish and move the boat, but acts like a nonbender in the village.

Name: Yui Toukaku (冬鶴 維)

Gender: Female 
Birth place: Fire Nation
Age: 17

Social Status (Peasant, Warrior, Elder, Nobility, Royalty, etc.): Minor Royalty 

Appearance (Height, Weight, Eye, Hair, Skin, Build, and Other in a nice neat paragraph): Yui is 154cm (5'0") and 48kg (105lb), with pale skin and dark hair. Her eyes are light green, speaking to her Earth Kingdom heritage, and always accented with red-pink eyeliner. Her hair is usually braided into a single braid that is then laid over her shoulder, although her bangs are shorter and usually left to curl around her face. Yui is slim and petite, much like her animal counterpart, and often wears heels to appear taller than she is.

Clothing: Yui wears faint jewelry that suggest at her higher status, such as golden earrings and a necklace gifted by her mother. In addition, she will frequently have small rings and hair accessories. Yui dresses in the standard Fire Nation style, with robes and silks to hide most of her form. She is fond of the common Fire Nation colours, and will usually drape a scarf over her dress or don a veil to avoid dirtying her favourite outfits. Most commonly, she can be found dressed in a wine-red dress with golden lace covering the neck and arms, clipping together at the chest, and shifting in black-red fabrics around the legs. Yui will commonly wrap a furred shaw around her shoulders if cold, and sometimes will wear a dark veiled head accessory that hides her eyes. While training, she wears a standard-issue Fire Nation military uniform, although her armour has been customized with golden traces to show her higher status. Most of her shoes have heels built into them, even the ones that she uses for training, as she wants to appear taller than she really is. 
Identifying Marks: Yui has green eyes common of those in the Earth Kingdom, which makes her stand out from a crowd in the Fire Nation. Sometimes, she will wear a veil over her face to avoid attracting trouble. 
Personality: Yui is polite, well-intending, and generally harmless to those that she meets. She can be a bit overly-formal at times, having only met a limited number of people throughout her life, and has a hard time understanding the actions/thoughts of others if they do not think similarly to her. Regardless, she is willing to learn and adapt, given the proper time and teaching to do so. Yui can be a bit sardonic at times, unable to understand strong familial / friendship bonds, as she has been raised to think of the family's honour first. She adores children and animals, and will often be found in the corners of the Fire Nation's Capital, talking to orphanages and playing with strays. 

 

Element Bended: Fire 

Animal Shapeshift (appropriate to element): Japanese crane. As a crane, Yui has white-tipped feathers with faint black markings, only visible if she takes flight, and a dark underside. She stands at 110cm (3'6"), with a slim, light form. 
Skills: Yui is terrifyingly good at hiding her thoughts, and will retain a calm and polite demeanor no matter the situation. Having been raised in the manner of Fire Nation morals since she was young, Yui has expansive -- if not slightly biased -- knowledge about the world. From shopping trips into town with her maids, she is also very good at haggling prices down. 
 

History: Yui was born to minor Fire Nation royalty, in a family that had just recovered from a scandal involving one of Yui's grandmothers having had a child with an Earth Kingdom man. Unfortunately, to her parents' absolute shock the young Yui had visibly foreign eyes that were a permanent reminder of her family's most disgraceful act, and it was drilled into her from a young age that, should she ever meet other members of the royal family, shewould always wear the veil and try to lay as low as possible until a suitable marriage could be arranged for her, thus protecting the family name. As a result, she was raised in a mostly solitary lifespan, despite having siblings that were born after her, as she was the only one with visibly green eyes. Regardless, her parents provided her with every material comfort that she could think of, as well as a fine education in history, politics, and firebending -- a point of pride for them, showcasing that their daughter was still a Fire Nation citizen at heart. Her closest companions are the servants that have accompanied her since she was born, including her dearest maid, known affectionately as Aka. 

 

Although her parents were well-meaning in their actions, Yui grew to harbour a secret curiosity about the world outside the Fire Nation's borders, as well as a desire to get to know her other side. Knowing almost nothing about her Earth Kingdom grandfather, she often created stories and fairytales in her head about meeting new cousins, strange travellers, and eager friends. Although she was not restricted from going outside per se, she was highly regulated in the people she could talk to, and as a result has only known her friends and her younger sister, having never met her brother.

Appearance: Standing at 5’9”, Riorri has dark skin and long black hair. Their eyes are a storm-gray in color, set beneath thin eyebrows on a face with sharper features. Weighing about 136 pounds, they have more of a lithe build, suited for their air bending, speed and dexterity. Their tattoos are drawn with turquoise ink. Their black hair, beginning at the crown of their head, is woven into a myriad of braids that are bound into a single, loose, ponytail with a strip of leather about 5 inches wide; this reaches down to the small of their back. 
Clothing: Much of Riorri's clothing consists of browns, yellows, touches of orange, reds, and occasional grays. Because they are a nomad, they typically only maintain one or two outfits. Their most preferred outfit contains a rust-brown shawl that drapes off their left shoulder down to mid-thigh, held in place with a dark gray belt adorned with an oval wood blocked bearing the Air symbol. Under their shawl is a burnt-yellow tunic with only a strap on the right shoulder and edged with a dark red trim. Their pants are baggy and light brown in color, tucking into dark red, knee-high boots with darker toes and heels. On their left arm, they have a leather band 3 inches wide wrapped around the middle of their upper arm and a fingerless, light brown glove. On their right arm, they have a near-similar fingerless glove that reaches to their elbow.

Identifying Marks: As is custom, Riorri was marked with the traditional, sacred arrow tattoos that represent their mastery of Airbending. In addition to those, however, Riorri has a series of swirls traveling down their back and wrapping slightly around their right side. On their left shoulder, they have the Air symbol wrapped in additional swirls and connecting to the arrow traveling down their arm. 

Separate from their tattoos, Riorri has second and third degree burns scarring the right half of their body. It mostly covers their right arm and down their back; part of which is discoloration a few shades lighter than the rest of their skin. 
Personality: Riorri likes to learn. They frequently ask questions and freely answer what is asked of them. Like nearly all Air Nomads, they are largely pacifistic, preferring to study and play games instead of fight. Always observing and open to new experiences, Riorri sometimes has wisdom to share, but they understand that not everyone will happily listen. When under stress, they have a habit of rearranging their hairstyle or clothes. At other times, they tend to hum quietly. 

- Extra: They like to collect various trinkets, accessories, and articles of clothing from other tribes and nations. Sometimes, they'll wear what they've collected, either as separate outfits or pieces with their traditional garb.

Animal Shapeshift: Gryphon - Riorri's feathers are mostly various shades of brown, flecked with black and white highlights. The feathers on their chest possess a patch of white in the center and black markings streak beneath their storm-gray eyes. Their beak is a burnt shade of orange, hooked and sharp. Their front talons are black, as are the claws on their hind paws. Their tail is sleek and ends in a tuft of long fur. Feathers transition to coarse fur just below their ribcage, but a trail continues along their spine. Roughly 6' tall at the shoulder and about as long without the tail, their wings span nearly 15' from tip to tip. Their primaries are solid brown with similar flecks of black across the back/top side. Underneath, the feathers are shades of cream and white. 
Skills: Riorri is quick to learn, most especially when it comes to various games. A bit of it is strategy. They'll deny it, however, and often call it luck. They love cooking and have taken to try specializing in pastries. Combatively, Riorri's strengths lie in their speed and dexterity; they fight defensively more than offensively, and work to tire out an opponent first. 
History: Born in the Eastern Air Temple long after the Air Temples were no longer segregated by sex (all women on two, all men on the other two), Riorri was raised by both parents in the Air Nomads' most spiritual settlement. They were proficient at their Airbending lessons and earned their mark of mastery at the age of 16. At the age of 12, Riorri began traveling as part of a small group of Air Nomads. Their parents remained at the Eastern Air Temple to continue teaching new benders. When Riorri's nomadic group reached the Fire Nation, the group split into two and went separate routes. Riorri found other means of travel and split off on their own at the Southern Air Temple. Part of their journey was to study at all for temples. The other part was to gain experiences in the rest of the world. By the age of 15, they had visited every temple and every nation, though not every small town or village. After their mastery ceremony, they set out to travel again and have been moving ever since.

Name: Gyiroh Lemeng

Appearance: Sturdy is a good word to describe her. Gyiroh stands at 5'6" and weighs in at about 152 pounds; she has meat on her bones and much of that is muscle. With medium brown skin, she had dark brown hair that reaches the bottom of her scapulas. However, she likes to keep the wavy strands tied up in a bun or ponytail. Shorter strands are always falling in front of her eyes, though. Her eyes are a similar shade of brown as her hair and her face is slightly rounded.
Clothing: Gyiroh likes to keep her outfit relatively simple. Her top is a dark green with yellow trim, a stiff collar, and no sleeves. The coattails split off at her navel, where a brown belt wraps around her hips, and end mid-thigh. At the back, the fabric dips further until it reaches the back of her knees at a point. Her pants are black and loose, strapped down by bandages starting at her knees that disappear within tall boots. Her boots are brown with black, 3-inch-wide bands at the top. 
Identifying Marks: Various old cuts, scrapes, and a few gouges have etched themselves into Gyiroh's flesh. Nearly all of them have been given to her through herEarthbending practice and start at her shoulders, right down to her feet. A jagged scar runs across the bridge of her nose.
Personality: Gyiroh can often be unfiltered and brash. She likes to do things her way and sometimes doesn't have enough patience. It, unfortunately, also means that she's not always aware of others, most especially if they're unhappy with her. She's trying to work on that. Gyiroh doesn't mind a good fight, and that includes itching to pick one from time to time. Especially when she's stressed or upset. And she definitely doesn't take kindly to awful or nasty people. Deeper down, she's afraid of losing--most especially afraid of losing more people.

Skills: Much more of a powerhouse, Gyiroh's strengths lie behind her ability to take a hit as well as pack a punch (or a kick). She's not the fastest, but she makes up for it with durability. Secretly, Gyiroh knows how to make and fix clothes, though she isn't very fancy about it; more of the practical sort. Born with an animal form that's blind and relies heavily on scent, Gyiroh has adapted her own sort of seismic sense to help her navigate, even in human form. 
History: Rumors go that Gyiroh was born as a Shirshu, but not really. As a child, Gyiroh just spent a lot of her time in her animal shape, learning quickly about how the formworks and what its abilities were. Whenever she took human shape, she spent a lot of energy honing her Earthbending. Her family, being of a lower class, was constantly working in order to survive. When Gyiroh turned 7, she was brought in to help her mother work in Omashu's mail delivery system. During the days, it was mail. At night, it was tailoring. For several years, it was how Gyiroh and her family lived. When she was 13, an illness swept through and for weeks, her father and sister were in a harsh state until they finally perished. After that, Gyiroh and her mother left Omashu, hoping to survive in another city or village. At some point, mercenaries learned of Gyiroh's ability to shapeshift into a Shirshu and made an attempt to recruit her. She didn't wish to so they attacked but she managed to escape. Gyiroh and her mother were forced to keep running. When she was almost 16, they found a place take refuge in a small Earth village best known for its mined resources. She set straight to work in the mines while her mother took up as a tailor. For the next few years, that was where she remained, in a little-bothered area of the Earth Nation. Now 19, Gyiroh has become restless.

Appearance: Sveta’s skin is the light brown common in the Northern Water Tribe. Her hair is an unusually light sandy color, and while unbound it reaches to her shoulder blades. She generally keeps it in a braid or bun, with bangs reaching her eyebrows and her face framed by two chin-length strands. Her eyes are an icy blue-grey. She is 5’5” (165cm) tall and weighs about 110lbs (50kg). Though she has good stamina and is able to carry a heavy traveller’s pack for long distances, her build isn’t particularly muscular. (I might draw her later, but if it helps anyone I made a picrew here!)
Clothing: Her clothing is a mishmash picked up from different places in the Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation, though she still carries a dark blue parka with a fur-lined hood from the Water Tribe. She prefers simple, durable clothing, and when possibly picks dark colors that don’t stain as easily. She often wears a black, hooded traveller’s cloak, and she carries her supplies and an extra set of clothing in a dark green canvas backpack. In her backpack she also carries her medical kit, which includes bandages, basic medicines, a mortar and pestle, and her most prized possession, an obsidian scalpel given to her by a Fire Nation fisherman after she saved his son’s life. 
Identifying Marks: Her hair is strangely light, and she has a mole under her left eye. 
Personality: When interacting with strangers and while working Sveta adopts a brusque, blunt nature. She works hard, and she’s been called cold because of how unfazed she is by blood and death, and she has a tendency towards sarcasm and dark humor. In truth, she hasn’t had a friend in a very long time and has little idea of how else to act outside of work. She feels awkward attempting small talk, and prefers to stick with what she knows. When alone she enjoys nature and doing things such as lying in the grass and flying, but she believes these behaviors to be childish and unbecoming. Though she knows that she doesn’t know everything and is happy to listen to those with more experience, she feels confident in her skills. 
Element Bended: Water
Animal Shapeshift: An arctic leopard tern. Her form is essentially that of a lithe griffin, with a cat-like body and head, long, pointed white wings, white spotted fur, and a black patch on the top of her head. Her tail is long and cat-like, but long white feathers extend from it, particularly near the tip. This form is quick and agile in the air, but is best at soaring for long distances over the sea and along the coasts.  
Skills: Sveta is adept at healing, both using bending-based and non-bending healing techniques. Her knowledge of herbs is limited, as she did most of her learning in the Northern Water Tribe where herbs are scarce, but she did pick up some knowledge when she could find someone willing to take an apprentice for a few weeks during her travels. Outside of healing, her waterbending is limited. She is able to form ice into detailed, artistic structures (as sculpture carving is considered to be an acceptable womanly art) and she knows some of the theory of combative waterbending forms, but she has no combat experience. 
History: Like all female waterbenders in the Northern Water Tribe, Sveta was taught healing and wasn’t allowed to learn combat-based waterbending. This didn’t particularly bother her, as she found learning about the body to be extremely interesting and becoming a healer was the best way for her to gain some form of status and stability within the Tribe. As she grew older, she became more interested in learning more about the medical knowledge in the other nations, and she started thinking about travelling. Meanwhile, she became more aware of the pressure to marry should she stay, which had little appeal; a good number of the men that she interacted with had become injured in what she believed to be ridiculous attempts to show off, and she thought that marriage would pull her from her work. At the age of 16 she left, taking little but the necessities for travel. 
 
For the next two years she traveled, visiting the western Earth Kingdom, the Western Air Temple, and the Fire Nation. As she traveled, she would stay in towns that had need of a healer for a few days or weeks, earning enough money to live comfortably enough.

Name: Kui Baiyan ( 白銀葵)

Social Status: Wandering performer

Appearance: Kui retains the pale complexion and long, flowing dark hair common of a citizen from the Fire Nation. He stands at around 180cm (5'10). His eyes are a brown so light they almost appear to be a pale orange. His black hair is silky and extraordinarily long, reaching down all the way to the middle of his back. Kui often opts to keep his hair down, but will occasionally tie it halfway into a topknot when performing or out in public. Years of performing have earned Kui lean muscular build that is hidden underneath his layered clothing. Kui normally wears makeup strictly during performances, but has taken to painting a streak of red at the corners of his eyes every morning regardless if he's performing or not.

Clothing: Similarly to the other firebenders in his troupe, wears a traditional zhiduo on top of a layer of other robes. On the outermost layer of his outfit, Kui wears a thick white robe with the flower signature of the Weiyue troupe sewn sprinkled throughout it. Underneath that Kui wears four additional robes switching between red and white with each layer. He wears plain brown sandals that are obscured by the length of his robes. Kui's right hand is covered with a silk black glove while his left hand remains oddly bared.

Identifying Marks: On the back of Kui's right hand is a brand of the Weiyue troupe. Kui usually hides the brand underneath his glove.

Personality: To a stranger, Kui is a charismatic performer with a quick wit and an even quicker silver tongue. He loves to mingle with other people, especially customers, and is more than happy to indulge in whatever requests someone may have—whether that be a dangerous trick or small talk—so long as they have the coin to afford him. In reality, the suave man Kui tries to make himself out to be is little more than a facade. In private or in the instances his mask is forcibly ripped off, Kui is highly anxious individual prone to becoming flustered at the smallest sign of affection. Kui is completely comfortable pretending to be someone who's confident in himself, but he's completely unable to express his true feelings without burying his face into his hands or nervously toying with his hair. Beyond his inability to handle his own sensitive emotions, Kui has a love of learning about other cultures and exploring places, food, or events he's never had the opportunity to experience. He becomes ecstatic at the idea of interacting with strange new animals or visiting a beautiful landscape. While he seldom keeps friends during his travel, he is especially passionate about watching his friends enjoy themselves or overcome problems by their own merit.

Element Bended: Fire

Animal Shapeshift: Huli jing (狐狸精). A nine-tailed fox with a gorgeous black coat marred only by red markings at the tip of his tails and a thin line of "eye shadow". Kui retains the same orange-brown eyes that he has when he's a human. As a fox, Kui's physical strength weakens but his hearing and sight increase, allowing him to hear well enough to hear something burrowing underground and see decently into the dark. Kui is larger than the average fox and his fluffy fur only makes him to appear bigger than he actually is. From head to body he is around 86cm (2'8) with a single tail being 58cm (1'9).

Skills: As a performer, Kui's experience with firebending has almost entirely been for entertainment purposes. As such, as soon as he was able to firebend, he was taught different methods of how to manipulate fire to become a spectacle. He's adept at creating shapes and arcs out of fire as well as redirecting flames that have been shot at him. Before leaving the troupe, he was in the process of mastering breathing fire which is more than capable of doing, but sometimes lacks the fortitude to fully control a stream of fire exiting his mouth. Working in the troupe has taught Kui to be able to improvise and react quickly to any situation. His time performing has allowed Kui to develop a persona while entertaining others. He's able to maintain a sense of decorum even when he's internally panicking. Kui is more than capable of hiding his true nature from most people, but there are a few situations that tear of his mask of professionalism and leave him bewildered.

History: Kui was born to the Weiyue Company, a troupe of a variety of performers that split off from the Fire Nation circus to become their own organization. Kui, like all others born in the company, was given the name Weiyue and began learning to become a performer at the age of four. Being an anxious child, Kui didn't take well to performing in front of a life audience. His older adoptive sister, Lei, taught him to pretend to be someone else whenever he was doing his routine. Kui gratefully clung to this method and slowly became more comfortable performing. Kui spent his childhood traveling with the company and performing in taverns, villagers, and cities across the globe. In the troupe, children were raised together by several of the adult members of the group. As such, Kui wasn't particularly close to his mother who preferred dancing to rearing children and he never knew his father who was a Fire Nation soldier stationed in one of the towns the company visited. Lei and her twin brother, Huan, were the only two people Kui considered himself close to. At the age of 13, Kui began to grow disillusioned with the troupe. He craved intimate relationships, but between moving from town to town and being unable to connect with the other members of the troupe, Kui began to feel lonely. Even Lei and Huan, who he considered to be his closest friends and family, began to focus more on their duties within the company than their relationship with Kui. Two years later, after much deliberation, Kui packed his bags and left without saying a word. He's be on his own for a few years, performing for anyone who will pay to watch and searching for somewhere he can call home.

Appearance (Height, Weight, Eye, Hair, Skin, Build, and Other in a nice neat paragraph): Miho has pale skin, despite being out in the sun for most of the day. She also has dark crimson red eyes and black, long hair that is usually found in a ponytail when she is wearing her more formal clothes. Otherwise, it will be all down in a nice wave. She has a pretty nice slim and muscular build, as she trains her skills in the art of fire from her father, who is a warrior of the Fire Nation. She is 5'04" (162.6 cm) and she weighs 135 lbs (61.2 kg). She also has a scar that looks like a whip lashed her on her back from a training accident involving fire, which she hides with clothes. It stings every now and then, reminding her of her failure in controlling fire and the beauty and dangers of controlling an uncontrollable element.
Clothing: Miho usually wears the casual Fire Nation clothes, which includes a dark red sweater that ends at the navel and shows off the shoulders with holes, and black jeans with black pointed boots. When she is in her more traditional clothes (which she has to wear when she leaves her house unless she doesn't want to be seen as a noble), she can be found in a more red and yellow sleeveless shirt that only ends above her navel with a black collar, and a flowing skirt that goes down to her ankles and has an inner layer of red silk accompanied by an outer later of see-through fabric that glitters in the light. When she is out exploring, she wears nicer commoner clothes not normally found, so a dark red t-shirt, black pants and military boots, and a dark red jacket laden with Xierxu fur.
Identifying Marks: She has a scar on her back from a fire whip she created during training, but she usually hides that.
Personality: True to her societal standards of how Fire Nation women act, she is both disciplined and logical. She loves having adventures and exploring the world, but she is forced to be cooped up within her city. Still, she has a good head on her shoulders, if her head has a short fuse. Despite her quick and explosive temper, it peters out quite quickly and she doesn't hold grudges. Despite living up to the standards of society, she is pretty easy-going, sympathetic, and understanding. Although, she has issues trying to empathize with others on matters which she is unfamiliar with. Being in a sheltered life, that is most things, especially things that people do to survive, like catching and killing their own food.

Element Bended: Fire (Lightning later)

Animal Shapeshift (appropriate to element): A hell hound. She is 4'00" (121.2 cm) and will weigh 70 lbs (31.8 kg). She will look like an all-black doberman with red flaming eyes and flames will jut out of her paws and along her spine and tail. She can breathe fire in this form and can propel herself forward with the flames on her paws, among other actions. When she is able to use lightning, her ears become stiff and hard like metal and an electrical current will flow in between the ear tips to then be fired in any direction. She may also electrify parts of her body, just as long as the path taken doesn't touch her heart. She may also get faster when using lightning.
Skills: She knows how to fight in different martial arts and fire bending very well, excelling in her training ever since the accident. She can also read people fairly well, but that is pretty much it.
History: Miho lived within the boundaries of the Fire Nation, being born in an unnamed city close to the capital of the Fire Nation. She was born to a warrior, her father, and a teacher, her mother. Due to their professions, she was able to live a happy and content life as a noble. She was spoiled, didn't have any siblings, and was the center of attention of her family and friends. She is also the prodigy child, but she also has issues relating to some people due to her lifestyle, and is very oblivious to the struggles of the commonfolk and those that have to hunt to live. Despite this, she had lived a lovely life until she was unable to talk to her friends from the Water Tribe or Air Temples. Curious as to what was happening around the world, but being rightfully kept from this information, she began to sneak out. The first time, she wasn't caught and came back home without a hitch. The second time, she found her father leaving late at night to work, which wasn't all that common. But he took a different path and she followed. She found her father talking with some higher-ups about something and she had to leave, or else they'd catch her snooping. Now, she is preparing to leave behind her family in search of her friends.

Appearance (Height, Weight, Eye, Hair, Skin, Build, and Other in a nice neat paragraph): Kiyo has light brown hair and a lighter tan skin than those of her tribe. Her eyes are a soft ocean blue and she is 5'06" (167.6 cm) and weighs 120 lbs (54.5 kg). She has a muscular build, yet is more toned for style and beauty than for strength.
Clothing: She wears the usual Water Tribal clothes, which include a blue parka with fur laden inside and around the hood, fur boots, and very warm light blue pants and shirts with mitts. Her mitts can fold back from the knuckle so she can better use her weapons. When she is in warmer climates (which is anywhere above freezing temperatures), she wears a light blue light shirt with a V collar, dark blue shorts, and sandals.
Identifying Marks: She has no marks whatsoever on her body, lending to her to be a pretty ordinary looking lady. Although, she considers her body to be "identifiable".
Personality: For a tribal member, she is quite vain and aggressive. She is more emotional than most people and has a tough time trying to stay calm. The only time she can stay calm is during a battle or when hunting. Even then, her mind is always on something. It is difficult for her to make friends due to her brashness and bossy nature, but she stays loyal till the very end. She also has issues when people don't understand or are ignorant, and she has less patience than a member of the Fire Nation.

Element Bended: Water (Blood later)

Animal Shapeshift (appropriate to element): A beautiful sea serpent. She has a beautiful pale top half with glittering red and teal scales all along her bottom half. She has red antennae with long red feelers on her head that help her grasp items and she has a little horn on her head. She has a beautiful fan-like tail and she is 11'03" (315 cm) and she will weigh 170 lbs (77.1 kg). She can bend water better in this form, but she can't change it to and from gas or ice.
Skills: She is good with a spear, but a better waterbender. She is also more empathetic to those who need to do dirty things to survive and she has a good memory to memorize her way around.
History: As a young girl, Kiyo was drilled into her that she had to protect and take care of herself, since her parents wouldn't always be there to save her. Because of this, she grown too vain and practiced with the spear and waterbending to take care of herself. She made friends with a seldom few, but one of those was a Fire Nation noble when she came down one time to meet her family. She thought her to be too spoiled and they got off on the wrong foot, but they finally became friends after a day of apologizing and trying to get to know each other. Suddenly, she wasn't able to see her friend and her family needed to move to a different spot, as they were getting word of someone hurting their tribe. To find the evildoers and to find her friend, Kiyo left the comforts of her family, even though it pained her to do so.

A strong chiseled jaw line and natural narrow golden eyes with thin arched eyebrows make him look a little intimidating at first. However on a second look,he has smile lines around his eyes and mouth, and a consistent smirk with a little dimple in his left cheek softens his initially intimidating outlook.  He has a light blue check mark under each eye following the angle of his eyes. Wether it's drawn on or a birth mark it's unknown. 
Clothing: Because of his job, he often wears light tan or creamish yellow tattered sleeveless shirts when on a boat, some dark brown pants cut at the knees and a pointed straw hat on his head. When in town he usually wears traditional red and black clothes, nearly always sleeveless shirts and black/ brown pants with thin sandles. However when he goes on a trip, he dons on his old military school uniform that consists of a black loose sleeved jacket that has the fire nation logo in red on the back, a loose short sleeved shirt and high waisted black pants and pointed  black leather shoes with a thick red waistband tied in the back. To top all of his looks, he wears his father's old hair wrap for his bun, a thin scarlet ribbon with a blue and silver embroidered dragon on it. 

He does wear jewelry, a short leather necklace with a white lotus tile his father kept on him as a good luck charm and that he received before going to school, a gold sun on his right forearm a symbol of the hidden sun warriors it curls around once and spirals into the shape of the sun, and lastly a single silver hoop in his left ear with a small plate with the word "Dragon" stamped in it in gold. 
Identifying Marks: Golden eyes and blue cheek marks like markings under them along his  outer eye sockets
Personality: Yota is very protective of his family, particularly his younger brother often getting into a multitude of fist fights with villagers bullying him. Although usually silent around others, observing the surroundings and assessing the situation, Yota is quick to provide some form of comic relief in the form of some sarcastic and often very awful dad jokes. It's hard to tell wether or not he's optimistic or pessimistic at times with his dry sense of humor. Growing up for a naval officer for a father and going to a military type school, he is strict on orders, rules, and discipline. 
When it comes to his own self esteem, it's quite low, as in humble and modest. However, a downfall of Yota's is not only his willingness to risk life and limb for his brother, but his unyealding loalty and sence of Justice to those who have wronged the weakest among them drives him in a way that is almost cruel to the ones he peruse. 

Element Bended: Fire, azure colored flames (dragon fire later)

Animal Shapeshift (appropriate to element) : A fire serpent. Looking like a Chinese dragon with small orange nubs for horns and a thin narrow wolf like face, he's not quite dragon but close  wingless relative. He's a deep red spotted with black scales that look like cooling lava with narrow triangular eyes bright golden yellow like the sun.  He has fur down his spine and a tuft on his tail in a ombre fire color, black snout and a orange colored streak from his nose to the beginning of his hair on top of his head. He has two small check mark like markings in a light blue under his narrow eyes. His front legs are thin and long like a chickens with four toes and a dewclaw while his back legs are wolflike with paws. He has no wiskers and blue flame colored tuffs on his elbows and the back of his legs to his paws.
7' 03" (2.21m) from nose tip to tail tip excluding the fur at the end of it that easily adds an extra 4" (10.16cm) to his frame.  He's 4'08" (1.4m) from ground to shoulder, slender and long (think haku from spirited away.)
In this form he can still bend fire, but now can breath it and control the heat and color of the flame. His weight is difficult to tell, given he can make himself light weight by warming the air in his belly and lungs. He's very fast and can swim, however when wet he can't bend very well.

Skills: He's skilled in firebending learning from the Sun warriors like his mother did. Yota is also a strategist and a skilled fighter in hand to hand combat, as well as a  dueling broadsword. Knowing and understanding he ways of a masted ship, along with a metal one his father worked on, he knows how to navigate his way around the sea. A skill that isn't common among firebenders. 

History: Yota Ixou's father was a relatively high ranking of the fire nation Navy when he was just a year old. His father's crew found a  melting glacier with a weak woman and infant on top of it and brought them abord. The woman, too weak to recover from exposure died shortly after being brought abord. Retiring soon anyway to spend time with his son, Lee took the boy home and raised him like his own. After an argument with his brother when he was four about him not fighting fair, his brother's skills where shown. When this was discovered, his family sold their place and moved to a village by the sea to start up fishing. At the age of Eight he was sent to a military type school before dropping out of it at his current age to take over his father's business when the news about his father's death reached him.

Appearance (Height, Weight, Eye, Hair, Skin, Build, and Other in a nice neat paragraph) : Kaiji is roughly 5'04" (162.6cm) tall and 146lbs (66.22) soaking wet. His skin is a brown color from the sun and sea. He usually has messy ear langth hair that falls into his eyes, and is remarkably brilliant white in which he hides with brown dye. However the dye doesn't last and sometimes it looks like it's flecked with white/silver strands when it begins to fade within a week.  Kaiji is slender, more acrobatic then strong but he does have a little muscle in his arms from lifting heavy nets. His eyes are wide and big, with deep clear dark blue in color. His face is soft, more oval in shape and a soft jawline. His lips are thin with a little crescent scar just to the right of the indent under his nose. 
Clothing: Usually wearing the painest clothes possible, Kaiji has whatever makes him blend in with other people of unimportance. In the Fire Nation it usually consists of a dark red shirt and brown pants, at sea he has on a  white tunic with ripped off sleeves and brown pants that are rolled up to his knees. However, he does have a set of blue and white fur clothing from his Northern water tribe teacher. These consistent of several lairs: a blue top, black pants, black fingerless gloves are the first layer. The second is a white buffalo yack fur trimmed dark blue parka with ice blue sea wave designs and little fish embroidered along the chest part along with white and light blue interlocking triangles following the fur trim. He was also given a pair of black mittens lined with tan buffalo yack fur and black boots. 

He has a single rectangular bracelet woven out of string that has what looks like a pattern of blue flames, but it it really expertly hidden pattern of waves. The clasp of the breaclet are a fire nation and water nation symbol that intertwine when closed. This was a gift from his whole family who each made a part of it after his bending developed, to show they'll love him, no matter what element he bends. 
Identifying Marks: white hair and eyes a deep glacier blue a small scar on his lip from when he was playing with a fish hook when he was a toddler.
Personality: Kaiji is..... difficult to understand. His mood changes as easily as the sea does, going from very hyper to existential dread the next moment when something inconveniences him slightly. Disorganized, clumsy, and unlucky on land, he only truly finds peace and calm in the sea, near water, or on the full moon.  However, when Yota is on a rampage and is looking for the ones who bully him, Kaiji is unusually calm and level headed becoming his brother's voice of reason in the moment. He has a tendency to speak the truth having trouble telling lies, but absolutely no trouble at all keeping secrets to those he promised to. Like Yota, he is loyal, however he is weary of who to trust and trusts his gut and instincts then intuition and intellect. Not that he isn't smart, he is quite brilliant if he puts his mind to things, but this energy is used more in what his interests are rather than others. 

Element Bended: water (healing later)

Animal Shapeshift (appropriate to element) : A large white wolf roughly the size of a Great Dane about 44in (1.118m) tall at the withers and roughly a 150 lbs(68.03kg) with glacier blue eyes, the deep intense blue of thick solid ice. Although it's difficult to bend water with paws, he can still breath frost and ice forms beneath his paws, he can control he thickness of the ice and on water, can form small glaciers he can float on.
Skills: like his brother, Kaiji was trained in firenation self defense and broadsword training. He's skilled at navigation, however his best fighting style is with a bladed boomerang he received from his teacher one visit. He will later be skilled at healing wounds and burns.

Now, Kaiji practices his bending by helping them fish and move the boat, but acts like a nonbender in the village.

Appearance (Height, Weight, Eye, Hair, Skin, Build, and Other in a nice neat paragraph): Yui is 154cm (5'0") and 48kg (105lb), with pale skin and dark hair. Her eyes are light green, speaking to her Earth Kingdom heritage, and always accented with red-pink eyeliner. Her hair is usually braided into a single braid that is then laid over her shoulder, although her bangs are shorter and usually left to curl around her face. Yui is slim and petite, much like her animal counterpart, and often wears heels to appear taller than she is.

Clothing: Yui wears faint jewelry that suggest at her higher status, such as golden earrings and a necklace gifted by her mother. In addition, she will frequently have small rings and hair accessories. Yui dresses in the standard Fire Nation style, with robes and silks to hide most of her form. She is fond of the common Fire Nation colours, and will usually drape a scarf over her dress or don a veil to avoid dirtying her favourite outfits. Most commonly, she can be found dressed in a wine-red dress with golden lace covering the neck and arms, clipping together at the chest, and shifting in black-red fabrics around the legs. Yui will commonly wrap a furred shaw around her shoulders if cold, and sometimes will wear a dark veiled head accessory that hides her eyes. While training, she wears a standard-issue Fire Nation military uniform, although her armour has been customized with golden traces to show her higher status. Most of her shoes have heels built into them, even the ones that she uses for training, as she wants to appear taller than she really is. 
Identifying Marks: Yui has green eyes common of those in the Earth Kingdom, which makes her stand out from a crowd in the Fire Nation. Sometimes, she will wear a veil over her face to avoid attracting trouble. 
Personality: Yui is polite, well-intending, and generally harmless to those that she meets. She can be a bit overly-formal at times, having only met a limited number of people throughout her life, and has a hard time understanding the actions/thoughts of others if they do not think similarly to her. Regardless, she is willing to learn and adapt, given the proper time and teaching to do so. Yui can be a bit sardonic at times, unable to understand strong familial / friendship bonds, as she has been raised to think of the family's honour first. She adores children and animals, and will often be found in the corners of the Fire Nation's Capital, talking to orphanages and playing with strays. 

 

Element Bended: Fire 

Animal Shapeshift (appropriate to element): Japanese crane. As a crane, Yui has white-tipped feathers with faint black markings, only visible if she takes flight, and a dark underside. She stands at 110cm (3'6"), with a slim, light form. 
Skills: Yui is terrifyingly good at hiding her thoughts, and will retain a calm and polite demeanor no matter the situation. Having been raised in the manner of Fire Nation morals since she was young, Yui has expansive -- if not slightly biased -- knowledge about the world. From shopping trips into town with her maids, she is also very good at haggling prices down. 
 

History: Yui was born to minor Fire Nation royalty, in a family that had just recovered from a scandal involving one of Yui's grandmothers having had a child with an Earth Kingdom man. Unfortunately, to her parents' absolute shock the young Yui had visibly foreign eyes that were a permanent reminder of her family's most disgraceful act, and it was drilled into her from a young age that, should she ever meet other members of the royal family, she would always wear the veil and try to lay as low as possible until a suitable marriage could be arranged for her, thus protecting the family name. As a result, she was raised in a mostly solitary lifespan, despite having siblings that were born after her, as she was the only one with visibly green eyes. Regardless, her parents provided her with every material comfort that she could think of, as well as a fine education in history, politics, and firebending -- a point of pride for them, showcasing that their daughter was still a Fire Nation citizen at heart. Her closest companions are the servants that have accompanied her since she was born, including her dearest maid, known affectionately as Aka. 

 

Although her parents were well-meaning in their actions, Yui grew to harbour a secret curiosity about the world outside the Fire Nation's borders, as well as a desire to get to know her other side. Knowing almost nothing about her Earth Kingdom grandfather, she often created stories and fairytales in her head about meeting new cousins, strange travellers, and eager friends. Although she was not restricted from going outside per se, she was highly regulated in the people she could talk to, and as a result has only known her friends and her younger sister, having never met her brother.

As a result, Yui has not been consulted in the manner, only instructed to wait, and so she will often fantasize about a fairytale romance with any person that catches her interest.

Social Status: An average nomad; the Air Nomads have no social strata beyond their Council of Elders.

Appearance: Standing at 5’9”, Riorri has dark skin and long black hair. Their eyes are a storm-gray in color, set beneath thin eyebrows on a face with sharper features. Weighing about 136 pounds, they have more of a lithe build, suited for their air bending, speed and dexterity. Their tattoos are drawn with turquoise ink. Their black hair, beginning at the crown of their head, is woven into a myriad of braids that are bound into a single, loose, ponytail with a strip of leather about 5 inches wide; this reaches down to the small of their back. 
Clothing: Much of Riorri's clothing consists of browns, yellows, touches of orange, reds, and occasional grays. Because they are a nomad, they typically only maintain one or two outfits. Their most preferred outfit contains a rust-brown shawl that drapes off their left shoulder down to mid-thigh, held in place with a dark gray belt adorned with an oval wood blocked bearing the Air symbol. Under their shawl is a burnt-yellow tunic with only a strap on the right shoulder and edged with a dark red trim. Their pants are baggy and light brown in color, tucking into dark red, knee-high boots with darker toes and heels. On their left arm, they have a leather band 3 inches wide wrapped around the middle of their upper arm and a fingerless, light brown glove. On their right arm, they have a near-similar fingerless glove that reaches to their elbow.

- Additional outfit. They can sometimes be found mixing and matching pieces from both sets of clothing.
Identifying Marks: As is custom, Riorri was marked with the traditional, sacred arrow tattoos that represent their mastery of Airbending. In addition to those, however, Riorri has a series of swirls traveling down their back and wrapping slightly around their right side. On their left shoulder, they have the Air symbol wrapped in additional swirls and connecting to the arrow traveling down their arm. 

Separate from their tattoos, Riorri has second and third degree burns scarring the right half of their body. It mostly covers their right arm and down their back; part of which is discoloration a few shades lighter than the rest of their skin. 
Personality: Riorri likes to learn. They frequently ask questions and freely answer what is asked of them. Like nearly all Air Nomads, they are largely pacifistic, preferring to study and play games instead of fight. Always observing and open to new experiences, Riorri sometimes has wisdom to share, but they understand that not everyone will happily listen. When under stress, they have a habit of rearranging their hairstyle or clothes. At other times, they tend to hum quietly. 

- Extra: They like to collect various trinkets, accessories, and articles of clothing from other tribes and nations. Sometimes, they'll wear what they've collected, either as separate outfits or pieces with their traditional garb.

Element Bended: Air (Spiritual Projection)

Animal Shapeshift: Gryphon - Riorri's feathers are mostly various shades of brown, flecked with black and white highlights. The feathers on their chest possess a patch of white in the center and black markings streak beneath their storm-gray eyes. Their beak is a burnt shade of orange, hooked and sharp. Their front talons are black, as are the claws on their hind paws. Their tail is sleek and ends in a tuft of long fur. Feathers transition to coarse fur just below their ribcage, but a trail continues along their spine. Roughly 6' tall at the shoulder and about as long without the tail, their wings span nearly 15' from tip to tip. Their primaries are solid brown with similar flecks of black across the back/top side. Underneath, the feathers are shades of cream and white. 
Skills: Riorri is quick to learn, most especially when it comes to various games. A bit of it is strategy. They'll deny it, however, and often call it luck. They love cooking and have taken to try specializing in pastries. Combatively, Riorri's strengths lie in their speed and dexterity; they fight defensively more than offensively, and work to tire out an opponent first. 
History: Born in the Eastern Air Temple long after the Air Temples were no longer segregated by sex (all women on two, all men on the other two), Riorri was raised by both parents in the Air Nomads' most spiritual settlement. They were proficient at their Airbending lessons and earned their mark of mastery at the age of 16. At the age of 12, Riorri began traveling as part of a small group of Air Nomads. Their parents remained at the Eastern Air Temple to continue teaching new benders. When Riorri's nomadic group reached the Fire Nation, the group split into two and went separate routes. Riorri found other means of travel and split off on their own at the Southern Air Temple. Part of their journey was to study at all for temples. The other part was to gain experiences in the rest of the world. By the age of 15, they had visited every temple and every nation, though not every small town or village. After their mastery ceremony, they set out to travel again and have been moving ever since.

Name: Gyiroh Lemeng

Gender: Female

Social Status: Lower Working Class | Mail Delivery | Mines

Appearance: Sturdy is a good word to describe her. Gyiroh stands at 5'6" and weighs in at about 152 pounds; she has meat on her bones and much of that is muscle. With medium brown skin, she had dark brown hair that reaches the bottom of her scapulas. However, she likes to keep the wavy strands tied up in a bun or ponytail. Shorter strands are always falling in front of her eyes, though. Her eyes are a similar shade of brown as her hair and her face is slightly rounded.
Clothing: Gyiroh likes to keep her outfit relatively simple. Her top is a dark green with yellow trim, a stiff collar, and no sleeves. The coattails split off at her navel, where a brown belt wraps around her hips, and end mid-thigh. At the back, the fabric dips further until it reaches the back of her knees at a point. Her pants are black and loose, strapped down by bandages starting at her knees that disappear within tall boots. Her boots are brown with black, 3-inch-wide bands at the top. 
Identifying Marks: Various old cuts, scrapes, and a few gouges have etched themselves into Gyiroh's flesh. Nearly all of them have been given to her through her Earthbending practice and start at her shoulders, right down to her feet. A jagged scar runs across the bridge of her nose.
Personality: Gyiroh can often be unfiltered and brash. She likes to do things her way and sometimes doesn't have enough patience. It, unfortunately, also means that she's not always aware of others, most especially if they're unhappy with her. She's trying to work on that. Gyiroh doesn't mind a good fight, and that includes itching to pick one from time to time. Especially when she's stressed or upset. And she definitely doesn't take kindly to awful or nasty people. Deeper down, she's afraid of losing--most especially afraid of losing more people.

Element Bended: Earth (Metal)

Animal Shapeshift: Shirshu
Skills: Much more of a powerhouse, Gyiroh's strengths lie behind her ability to take a hit as well as pack a punch (or a kick). She's not the fastest, but she makes up for it with durability. Secretly, Gyiroh knows how to make and fix clothes, though she isn't very fancy about it; more of the practical sort. Born with an animal form that's blind and relies heavily on scent, Gyiroh has adapted her own sort of seismic sense to help her navigate, even in human form. 
History: Rumors go that Gyiroh was born as a Shirshu, but not really. As a child, Gyiroh just spent a lot of her time in her animal shape, learning quickly about how the form works and what its abilities were. Whenever she took human shape, she spent a lot of energy honing her Earthbending. Her family, being of a lower class, was constantly working in order to survive. When Gyiroh turned 7, she was brought in to help her mother work in Omashu's mail delivery system. During the days, it was mail. At night, it was tailoring. For several years, it was how Gyiroh and her family lived. When she was 13, an illness swept through and for weeks, her father and sister were in a harsh state until they finally perished. After that, Gyiroh and her mother left Omashu, hoping to survive in another city or village. At some point, mercenaries learned of Gyiroh's ability to shapeshift into a Shirshu and made an attempt to recruit her. She didn't wish to so they attacked but she managed to escape. Gyiroh and her mother were forced to keep running. When she was almost 16, they found a place take refuge in a small Earth village best known for its mined resources. She set straight to work in the mines while her mother took up as a tailor. For the next few years, that was where she remained, in a little-bothered area of the Earth Nation. Now 19, Gyiroh has become restless.

Name: Sveta
Gender: Female
Birthplace: Northern Water Tribe
Age: 18
Social Status: Healer, Traveller
Appearance: Sveta’s skin is the light brown common in the Northern Water Tribe. Her hair is an unusually light sandy color, and while unbound it reaches to her shoulder blades. She generally keeps it in a braid or bun, with bangs reaching her eyebrows and her face framed by two chin-length strands. Her eyes are an icy blue-grey. She is 5’5” (165cm) tall and weighs about 110lbs (50kg). Though she has good stamina and is able to carry a heavy traveller’s pack for long distances, her build isn’t particularly muscular. (I might draw her later, but if it helps anyone I made a picrew here!)
Clothing: Her clothing is a mishmash picked up from different places in the Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation, though she still carries a dark blue parka with a fur-lined hood from the Water Tribe. She prefers simple, durable clothing, and when possibly picks dark colors that don’t stain as easily. She often wears a black, hooded traveller’s cloak, and she carries her supplies and an extra set of clothing in a dark green canvas backpack. In her backpack she also carries her medical kit, which includes bandages, basic medicines, a mortar and pestle, and her most prized possession, an obsidian scalpel given to her by a Fire Nation fisherman after she saved his son’s life. 
Identifying Marks: Her hair is strangely light, and she has a mole under her left eye. 
Personality: When interacting with strangers and while working Sveta adopts a brusque, blunt nature. She works hard, and she’s been called cold because of how unfazed she is by blood and death, and she has a tendency towards sarcasm and dark humor. In truth, she hasn’t had a friend in a very long time and has little idea of how else to act outside of work. She feels awkward attempting small talk, and prefers to stick with what she knows. When alone she enjoys nature and doing things such as lying in the grass and flying, but she believes these behaviors to be childish and unbecoming. Though she knows that she doesn’t know everything and is happy to listen to those with more experience, she feels confident in her skills. 
Element Bended: Water
Animal Shapeshift: An arctic leopard tern. Her form is essentially that of a lithe griffin, with a cat-like body and head, long, pointed white wings, white spotted fur, and a black patch on the top of her head. Her tail is long and cat-like, but long white feathers extend from it, particularly near the tip. This form is quick and agile in the air, but is best at soaring for long distances over the sea and along the coasts.  
Skills: Sveta is adept at healing, both using bending-based and non-bending healing techniques. Her knowledge of herbs is limited, as she did most of her learning in the Northern Water Tribe where herbs are scarce, but she did pick up some knowledge when she could find someone willing to take an apprentice for a few weeks during her travels. Outside of healing, her waterbending is limited. She is able to form ice into detailed, artistic structures (as sculpture carving is considered to be an acceptable womanly art) and she knows some of the theory of combative waterbending forms, but she has no combat experience. 
History: Like all female waterbenders in the Northern Water Tribe, Sveta was taught healing and wasn’t allowed to learn combat-based waterbending. This didn’t particularly bother her, as she found learning about the body to be extremely interesting and becoming a healer was the best way for her to gain some form of status and stability within the Tribe. As she grew older, she became more interested in learning more about the medical knowledge in the other nations, and she started thinking about travelling. Meanwhile, she became more aware of the pressure to marry should she stay, which had little appeal; a good number of the men that she interacted with had become injured in what she believed to be ridiculous attempts to show off, and she thought that marriage would pull her from her work. At the age of 16 she left, taking little but the necessities for travel. 
 
For the next two years she traveled, visiting the western Earth Kingdom, the Western Air Temple, and the Fire Nation. As she traveled, she would stay in towns that had need of a healer for a few days or weeks, earning enough money to live comfortably enough.

Appearance (Height, Weight, Eye, Hair, Skin, Build, and Other in a nice neat paragraph): Jun has a typical higher-class Earth Kingdom appearance, with fair skin, dark hair, and light, piercing grey eyes. He usually has an impassive or mocking expression on his features, because he heard once that he looked quite "delicate", not unlike his frail, scholarly father. His hair was once long and tied together into a bun, although after leaving the Earth Kingdom he cut it as a sign of disrespect. Now, he wears it messily, curling around his ears and neck. However, he has kept the ceremonial zan given to him by his mother in the case he ever grows his hair out long again. Jun is 175cm (5'9") and 74kg (163lb).

Clothing: At home, Jun wears typical Earth Kingdom noble clothing, with proper ceremonial headwear and long, flowing robes. Now, he wears a nondescript outfit with loose robes with nothing hinting to his identity when travelling, which will often hang open and expose his chest. When fighting, Jun wears a black outfit similar to that of bandits, as well as a face mask that covers his mouth and nose if he wants to hide his identity. 
Identifying Marks: Jun has a single mole near his left eye. 
Personality: Jun is a hotheaded young man who acts first and thinks later. He will often be the first to react in any type of given situation, and is used to getting his way. Fiercely loyal to those who he pledges himself to, Jun is stubborn to a fault and willing to sacrifice absolutely anything and everything of his own in order to ensure that the people he cares about are safe and happy. On the flip side, Jun is hard and unyielding about his personal ideas of justice and righteous victory, and merciless to his enemies, which now include his own family. Prickly at times, Jun is somewhat bad at handling more sensitive emotions such as grief and/or guilt, and prefers to use actions to express himself instead of words. 

 

Element Bended: Earth, Metal, on a quest for lava 

Animal Shapeshift (appropriate to element): Chinese Guardian Lion (foo dog). Jun's transformation is a massive Guardian Lion, somewhat comical in appearance, but with enough physical bulk to pose a serious threat. Although Guardian Lions are traditionally supposed to act as guardians of the house, Jun dislikes this assumption. His shifted form, just like his usual manner, is also very aggressive. In this form, Jun is 300cm (9.8ft) tall and 350cm (11.4ft) long. He is rather heavy, at 6 300kg (14 000lb). Accordingly, although he may be aggressive, he moves very slowly. 
Skills: Jun is unusually aggressive for an earthbender, the exact opposite of his mother's well-known, steady-paced resilience. There are times he resents his element and, subsequently, the Earth Kingdom, both for its weak offensive ability and inability to act, and has honed his abilities to the very peak of his limits as a result of his anger-fueled training. Many say his masterful abilities in metalbending from a young age are to be expected of someone with his family name, though he outright refutes that statement. Although he is undoubtedly skilled at bending, his fast reactions and quick anger actually hold him back from earthbending to the full degree; as a result, he much prefers metal, and, secretly, wishes he could be a bender of another element that is better suited to his temperament and goals. Perhaps this is what drives him so wholeheartedly in his -- some would say foolish -- quest for the mythical lavabending.

Jun also has comprehensive knowledge about many scholarly-related fields passed down from his father, although he never mentions this subject. Still, one could find him in a new city, just as the sun set, inspecting the architecture of different buildings and relating them to historical facts. 

History: The son of an highly-esteemed Earth Kingdom general (his mother) and a published scholar (his father), Jun was born in the heart of Ba Sing Se twenty years after his older sister, Hao. As his parents had raised Hao into a fine member of the Imperial Guard who combined the battle prowess of their mother with the lessons of their father, they were noticeably more relaxed with Jun's upbringing. He became especially attached to his mother, who regaled him with stories of her travels and spoiled him with gifts and treats frequently. Hao, his older sister, also participated in his upbringing due to their large age gap. In fact, she taught him most of the metalbending he knows, as their mother was becoming elderly and preparing to retire. 

 

However, peace was not to last. Jun's mother was killed in an unfortunate accident, where the airship she had been commanding to import economic cargo collapsed in on itself and killed her and everyone abroad. Though his family greatly mourned the tragedy, Jun became disillusioned with the official statement and his father's distance from the situation; his father simply accepted that everyone died eventually, and that his mother's time had come. Furthermore, Jun refused to accept that this "accident" could have been a simple mistake, as his mother was too great a metalbender to die if a ship simply malfunctioned. He ranged between a terrorist attack by militaristic members of the Fire Nation, an opportunist seizure of resources by the Water Tribe, a secret spy operation by the "peaceful" Air Nomads. This pent-up anger eventually urged Jun into challenging his sister on official Court grounds to open up investigation into the closed incident, and to execute those responsible for the attack. Hao did not want to hurt her brother, but won in an outstanding victory. Afterwards, Jun left the Earth Kingdom willingly, having heard a rumour about a mysterious bending force able to control lava. For about a year now, he has been travelling and gathering information (and probably goading random benders into fights along the way), trying to attain lavabending so he can go home, oust his sister, and bring "justice" for his mother's murder. Although his sister and father disapprove of his actions, they keep tabs on him and talk to (and slip in a little bit of coin) local officials to assure he doesn't get formally arrested and charged for any of his actions.

Open, but he's not easy to get along with, much less be in a relationship with.
