Posted July 26, 2021 Hmm, you know, I kind of feel that. I feel like my Winters and Springs and Autumns are full of work and drama. And then when it comes to Summer, term times have ended, things are just a bit.. different? Like, I have time to do things now? What?? Posted July 26, 2021 i work year-round, so there's that. i'm pretty sure this is an accurate ranking of my seasons: 1. FALL!!!!!!! (and halloween) 2. early Winter 3. 4. 5. early Spring, when it's still nice and cool 6. the rest of Winter 7. 8. the rest of spring, when it starts to warm up 9. early fall, when it still thinks it's summer. ick. 10. summer. bleck. yep, that seems about right. Posted July 26, 2021 I loved Summer when I was a kid. But it's not as much fun, now. It is much more humid here than where I grew up and it is the humidity that really bothers me. Don't really enjoy being drenched in sweat! Share this post Link to post

Where I, on the other hand, need the humidity (though I, too, dislike the sweat). If I'm too long out of it, my lips start to chap and my nose begins to bleed, even in summer. I never thought I'd see the day when I'd rue the proximity of my home to the community pool. When I first moved in here, twenty years ago (!), hardly anyone used the pool. Now there are weekend days when it's in almost constant use, and increasingly often by loud and vulgar (language) groups of young'uns (20s ish?). Sigh. Share this post Link to post

Posted July 27, 2021 (edited) Yeah, I am decidedly not a hot weather person; even British summers are too hot for me! It was about 24C the other day, grey skies with a light cool wind, and that was about the ideal level of heat once wind chill was taken into account. Ooh! Toppage! Haven't done that in years!
