First hummingbird rescue of the year.

I go out on the porch and I'm like 'what is that dark blob up there?'

It was an exhausted hummer clinging to a vertical surface near the ceiling.

I caught it and took it to the feeder to let it fill its little tank up before letting it go.

Maybe one of the first babies of the year?

It drank right away and weighed like nothing but feathers in my hand.

Still a little off from my 2nd shot. I thought I was all better this morning, but when I tried to do my Jazzercise routine, I found I was exhausted early on. Oh well, at least the achy feeling is finally gone.

Beautiful sunny day, but chilly. We had frost warnings last night.

i'd say morning all... but it's just after noon for me.  

 

upper arm still has some soreness from shot #2, but it's all good.  don't even need the acetaminophen today  

 

i'm at work today in an hour (1-5).... i don't wanna.  

 

however, when i get home, i'll be able to hatch my blue Siyat! yaay!  the one that's to be purple is down to 2d21h, and while i know it'll hatch as soon as it goes in hatcheries tomorrow morning, it's still making me nervous!

Lagie is correct.  Chanukah also isn't a major holiday either.

let's see - Rosh Hashana, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Chanukah, Purim, Passover - there's others, like Tu BiShevat (the New Year for Trees/Arbor Day), and i'm sure there's other minor observances, also like Rosh Chodesh, which is the first of each month, coinciding with a New Moon

It's already started off as a bad day. Absolutely poured last night, multiple times, lots of lightning flashing, but not much thunder. It likely flooded the road a few miles down. Supposed to be a bright sunny steam bath today. I don't share the birds' urge to sing this morning.

My dreams have been about trying to escape people.

Let my phone card run out - RIP data rollover.

Mosquito bit me on the ankle.

Gastric reflux.

The lens fell out of my glasses this morning. 

It's really fiddly trying to put a tiny screw into an eyeglass frame without a screwdriver with a magnetized tip, but I got it eventually.

Can I cry now or should I wait until later?
