I don't know what a good trade for an egg is - I don't want to offer common eggs for something super-rare by accident!

Rarity is very subjective - there's not really a set scale.

 

Here's a fan-made rarity guide, though again - not official, very subjective.

 

Just browsing the trade hub to see what people want helps. Eventually you'll get a feel for what is worth what, though again - just look at what individuals want, because different people will want... different things!
