Posted January 5, 2020 (edited) I'm super proud of my wreath and tree, and pretty happy with my house. So I came to the forum to show them off, expecting to find existing threads. I may have overlooked the ones for wreaths and gingerbread houses, but all I could find is one for trees. So I decided to start one for the other two. I'm still tweaking my house, so I'll post that in a bit when I'm done with it. Show me your completed wreaths and houses! I want to see what other people did. There were far too many assets to use more than a fraction of them even with that kind of crowding, so I'm eager to see how others chose to use their options. EDIT: I think I might be done with my gingerbread house? Dunno. I'll probably keep tweaking it until the end of the event in small ways. But it's basically done. I'm really proud of my "rose" on the door and the "vines" climbing the front walls. Posted January 6, 2020 I made my wreath back in 2011 and I'm perfectly happy with it so I didn't touch it in this event, aside from making some very small adjustments that I then discarded as I decided to just leave the wreath as is. My gingerbread house, on the other hand, got a complete makeover. I know I might've... overdone the decorating a bit, but there were so many pretty decoration options I wanted to use... I tend to do that a lot. I look at an already pretty full design and think "That still looks a little empty, let's throw in some more stuff!" Share this post Link to post
Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) All candy-based minigames are the first takes for me:P I'm just not sure of my house's 2 top hard-candy rows but whatever else I place there doesn't look any better to me - wish there was a larger meringue sprite, that's what I'd like on the top the most^^; I mostly wanted white-red on gingerbread plus some greenery and animals, but I liked the tiny sprinkles near the top of the roof. Also, didn't touch my 2018 fort, I hardly made it last year (couldn't spawn one crystal where I needed but it finally appeared somewhat near the end - tbh this event should be re-played first exactly because of the decorative resource spawns. Posted January 6, 2020 Everyone's trees are so beautiful! I almost used a snowflake theme on my tree, but I ended up not. I am sooo happy with this year's event - I missed the original tree decorating and always regretted it, so here is my first ever TREEEEEEE And here is my WREATH! I'm super proud of the blinky stars! Originally I did a thing where I tried to use every decoration at least once. It was cool, but very busy. I like this one a lot more 😃 Especially the blinking pattern Here is my GINGERBREAD HOUSE! It originally had a red-brown-snow theme, with decorated cookie trees in the yard and poinsettia vines on the house. I couldn't get the trees to layer right this time, so I replaced them with poinsettias and changed the color theme. My little story behind this design is that the house belongs to a Holly dragon, and all the hatchlings are coming over for a holiday celebration. And here is my SNOW FORT! Originally I had a large castle with a log cabin and gingerbread house, each with their own separate yard. This time I made it a little more complicated, there's a park where Snowas are building snow creatures, a forest where the white reindeer are hiding, and the Script and Aegis dragons have each built their own fort and are preparing for battle.
