Hello I'm PaintedThree (Painted for short, or Lids for an even shorter nickname). and I joined DragonCave a few hours ago. I learnt of it from another game called Flight Rising,  and was convinced to join, so here I am!

 

The people who introduced me were very kind, so I know the rough basics of what to do, but I've still got a lot to learn,  so please tell me if I make any mistakes.

 

I guess I'll also tell you a bit more about myself:

-I love to talk about bugs, particularly isopods and giant millipedes, and various odd or biologically fascinating creatures

-I also love to talk about dragons (hence why I'm here)

-I like anything and everything to do with space, psychology, and biology

 

That's about it, I think : )

Hello and welcome! Where'd your "Lids" nickname come from, I can't deduce it. And since you like Flight Rising, we have a thread here for fellow FR fans! You can always PM me your questions about Dragon Cave if you have any!

 

-I love spiders, particularly tarantulas and pumpkin spiders.

-I love astronomy, the discovery of black holes is fascinating to me.

"Lids" doesn't have anything to do with my online name, it's just a very shortened (and slightly mangled ) version of my real name that most people I know use. I've gotten so used to it it's almost like a second name for me, so I use it online too.

Pumpkin spiders look really cool! Though the pictures I've seen look like they're really disproportional, but the name is still fitting.

 

Astronomy is extremely interesting - I used to watch documentaries about space all the time. Black holes are terrifying, and I even once got nightmares about them when I first learnt of them (though in my defense I was about 8 at the time)

- I also interested in bugs. Mainly insects. I had some beetles as pets.

- DRAGONS ARE AWESOME!

- I had studied Biology at middle school. Currently not, but still have interests in them. Also Astronomy - In these days, I'm interested in something edge in Solar System. Some said predicted 9th planet would might be baseball-sized black-hole

What beetles did you have? I really want to keep some isopods or millipedes as pets, but I'm still in the 'research' phase haha

 

Planet 9 is very interesting, though I don't really know, much about it. The black hole theory would be massive if true: imagine how much more we could learn if it there turned out to be one on our doorstep! It could also make a very good telescope because of all the light it bends: we could see a huge amount of the sky just from one place (if that's how black holes work. I know they bend light, but could they bend it that much?)

It would have just planet-sized gravity, so even if it is really blackhole, it wouldn't bend that much I think. I'm not sure about how accurate observing technologies in these days tho.
