They had arrived at a big castle, Glail (obviously) breaking out in another round of excited cheers and happy speculation about the place and Ionhazard giving a flat, though still wondering, remark in turn.

"Is that a statue? Can it come alive? What is it? Is it really made of gold? Do you think it can fly?"

"I wonder if there's anyone in it."

Swift herself had loved the trip there; animals and greenery surrounded them, all reminding her of the forest where she had grown up. Now she took a good long look at the object of their current conversation, committing each of its distinctive stone-and-metal features to memory and fixing it in her mental map as a nice large landmark.

“It does look like a gold statue, Glail. I’m not sure if it can come alive, but I’m sure there’s some sort of enchantment my friends Emma and Regina know that could do that.” She replied and admired the craftsmanship of the article. “It is a nice piece of work. Really lifelike, like a real dragon growling down at the intruders.” The outlaw grinned. “Let’s see what it looks like from inside it! she suggested eagerly, Glail’s infectious excitement spreading to her. “I haven’t been inside a castle since forever,” she added, in case Ionhazard needed more persuasion; she really wanted to go in, especially since the robot himself had said there might be people there. People who might be slightly more experienced and inclined to actually fight than Glail, she added to herself privately.

One of the men had made a suggestion about the fight and Peter wasn’t too sure about it.

“Just keep hitting them until they go down!

That didn’t seem like a very applicable piece of advice to him; he didn’t have anything to hit it with, not to mention he might make it angrier and he really did not want it to stab or bite him like it had the others. Oh sure, just let me hit the weird, angry sheep thing with my nonexistent Asgardian hammer, he thought slightly angrily. What guidance. He rolled his eyes at the sarcastic thought and started to look around for a big stick or something but figured it might have the same effect as it had on the web, red and shrivelled-looking. Sighing, he wondered if he could actually defeat one of these things on his own without the strangers helping out — which would be humiliating, considering he had been trying help them.

If I can manage to subdue the Falcon and the Winter Soldier so easily, why can’t I get rid of one dang sheep monster by myself now?! His frustration was cut short.

A tingling shiver ran across his arms and the back of his neck, alarming him to a gigantic branch whipping across the whole area. Oh man.

His hero instincts and Spider-Sense triggered, he leapt toward the nearest person, the singing lady, to save her, tackling her to the ground and out of harm’s way. The branch swung over their heads, a safe distance in between.

He was suddenly acutely aware that he lay practically on top of her.

This is awkward.

“Um, hi,” he said aloud, then quickly got off her. He could almost hear MJ making a blunt, slightly mocking remark at his embarrassed expression — he wasn’t good with strangers, though he hoped this lady would be nice so they would get along. Aaand cue the mental facepalm.

He realised while he had been lost in thought, she had still been on the ground, so he offered a hand to help her get up.

Hibiki was not prepared for what happened next, as the stone creature shifted and changed and lunged straight at her. The blow was enough to leave a nasty gouge on her leg, bringing her down to her knees for a bit.

"Tachibana--!!" Assault Wyvern flew up to dodge the wooden whips, only to let out what sounded like a horrified screech as its master was struck across his left arm.

Okay, now I'm mad! Kaiba drew out another card - it was time to bring out the big guns. "Let's go, Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" The aforementioned dragon took its place on the battlefield, with its imposing height being twice that of Assault Wyvern. It immediately tried to attack the owner of the whip that had struck Kaiba...

Kaiba cursed under his breath as it missed. It won't miss a second time...

The whips also had tried to strike Hibiki as she got up, but something had shoved her back down before that happened.

"Um, hi," the voice said. Hibiki looked and smiled - the new guy had saved her!

"Thanks for the save..." She then got back up, ready to sing again (as the stone creature had interrupted her song pretty badly).

Twisted Fight Update (one's almost dead)!

Unfortunately for the wood ram, its attack missed more targets than it liked. The only ones struck were Neea and Kaiba; the rest were able to dodge the branch, and two of them were moved out of the way of it, one by the jaws of its own comrade. The branch then fell limp, exhausted, and hurt badly. Dully the Twisted commanded it to pay attention to all the damage it was still receiving, and the branch lashed out toward its source.

This is the third time Neea has yelped as the branch coiled around her waist! She fully expected to be flung around as if she were a stuffed toy and the monster a delighted hatchling, but instead she felt its strength struggling with her weight. The shocked amusement that it couldn't lift all that Xinschi-uual engineering quickly dissipated when the Twisted instead tried to crush her, making her hull groan under the increasing pressure. Thinking frantically, the mech dug her claws into the ground, pulled back, and twisted her body, putting strain on the branch to try and snap it. The branch crackled as the splinters holding it together weakened, but it held firm.

The stone ram head, energized by the fact that it was able to take down its target, swung its head to drag Renarin closer to it. It endured the sword strike across its face, but didn't anticipate the consequence of it. A group of bubbles floated toward it from one side, and the sword gleamed with energy from the other. Its target moved, and the ram held on tighter.
BANG! Its limited vision lit up with light! It shook and let go, forced to by a sudden electrical current and a blast of heat from the side. The ram made some kind of sound between a squeak and rocks scraping together, stiffened up, then flopped over, causing its next attacker to miss, but not to much concern: it was completely stunned!

The rear half of the stone ram was completely unaffected by the state of its head, and hit true, gouging Hibiki's leg. It caused her to stop her song, yet the ram was unable to take advantage of the moment as she was suddenly torn away from it. It objected with a sort of screeching bay, even though it couldn't feel proper frustration. Stomping on its one leg and stony peg of the other leg, it rotated to face its target and its savior. It seems forming a beak hasn't helped it as much as it would've liked, so it tried something else: making more legs! Using the surrounding grass like tendons, it split its existing legs into three parts and mended them with the grass blades, which turned red and sinewy when they made contact with it. Now equipped with six legs, the terrible, long-legged insect-ram-rock monster scuttled toward Hibiki and Peter, beak splitting back into teeth. With luck on the monster's side, it would be able to strike in multiple places at once, which might pin one of them.

There was yet another problem though: the chunk of wood that was blasted off the wood ram's face earlier had been quickly mutating its surroundings, the Twisted attempting to turn it into a new mindless soldier. Grass formed muscle and stones a hardened filler as a new monster emerged. The red-tainted conglomerate just looked like, well, a conglomerate, yet by using its vast arsenal of grass it was able to form whip-like limbs like what the wood ram did, using sharp wood splinters like clawtips. It slithered through the grass like an octopus through water, seeking a target to meld with: Kaiba! Finding the man's boot, it wrapped its limbs around it, holding on tightly and using its "clawed" limbs to dig into his leg.

   [Summary:

Wood Ram misses everyone but Kaiba and Hibiki. It wraps its one branch around Neea. She resists, causing a stalemate.
Stone Ram front half is stunned!

Stone Ram rear half now has six legs and is aiming to hurt either Hibiki or Peter.

New Twisted! Little cursed glob with quarter stats trying to dig into Kaiba's leg.]

Sector 6: We're Going to Have to Return Our Orders

There was a loud crack as the Twisted Seagull turned its head - and only its head, not the neck connected to it. It set its eye on a new pair of sounds and movement as something scooted toward it. The eye stared, unblinking, at the face of the Prinny, calculating it. It hesitated because the Twisted's presence swelled, its higher intelligence trumping that of its minions', examining more closely what was going on with its influence beyond its sector. It dully noted the fight happening in Sector 1, then turned its attention to one, uncontested presence, farther away from it: the seagull. Not its proudest "invention", but it appears it was being fed?

It observed intensely, something those in the room could feel, as the seagull lunged for the Prinny. It threw its whole weight into the creature to knock it down and proceeded to jab at it with its beak, trying to injure it, except the sharp point just kept rebounding off the Prinny's thick skin?

The Twisted suddenly seized the seagull's movements, jerking it upright, and craning its head to observe the Prinny again. Why wasn't it puncturing it? What sort of logic did this sector have?

There was a long, awkward moment, where the seagull remained frozen in that position. Then, abruptly, it tumbled off the Prinny, landing at Laharl's feet. Despite feeling an organic presence there, it remained still, having detected nothing but breathing from it, and while breathing would be enough the Twisted had other plans for its pawn.

   Sector 12: Repairs at 50%

Mother Machine was enamored with her situation, and had been busily working away, using her vast knowledge of previously-useless things - namely, video games - to reconstruct her power and storage facilities. The overhaul went remarkably quick, except it unfortunately took up a large portion of her main room. She needed to repair her facility's wings so she had proper places for all this stuff! So, her circuits buzzing, she went to work on creating larger repair drones, which would be suitable for renovating large portions of the facility. Her work was interrupted only twice: the first due to the scout she sent over her sector coming across a familiar alien species resembling a gryphon, which gave her some augmentation ideas for them, and the second because of her other scout, which, after exploring much of the coniferous territory, decided to go south before going north or east any further. She was a bit peeved that it hadn't flown to the castle it had found earlier, but she could order it to return later, when she wasn't distracted by engineering. It wasn't the pictures of the castle it sent her that was the interruption, though: it was what it came across in the southern territory.

After zipping through the trees, over a lake, and toward the edge of a cliff, the scout found itself in another sector, which was pretty surprising since it didn't know about sectors; all it saw was that it went from forest to rocks and lava! Skipping over the new warm updrafts, the flying camera explored this brand new area, coming only as close to the lava as it dared and dashing to every nook and cranny. It paused once to allow Mother Machine to talk to Ionhazard, now that it was close enough to him and she had the infrastructure to communicate, but when that was done it went right back to exploring; although, there wasn't much to discover other than an assortment of burned corpses near what appeared to be a village. It took many pictures and sent them to its creator, before flying off to a new territory to explore.

This time the drone exited the fiery lands and discovered a surprisingly-pristine one just outside of it, brimming with green fields and towering oaks. A large river marked the border between the two territories, acting as a buffer to keep the lava away from the forests. Judging the distance of the cliffs at either end of the river, it chose to go to the closer ones first, and flew downstream, looking for any curiosities while it mapped the region. It certainly found something of interest: a fight on the southern riverbed, between some humanoids and gnarly-looking creatures. It hung back, hovering over the crest of a hill, opening a video feed to its creator so she could watch the fight real-time.

Mother Machine looked up. She somewhat recognized the corpse photos the drone had sent her earlier, but this feed confirmed the suspicion: grublins! She only knew one universe those shriveled fly-gremlins belonged to, which meant she wasn't just transported to a new universe, other universes had been moved as well! How though? Transporting so much matter and so many conflicting mechanics into one harmonious location would... well, the mere transportation would take astronomical amounts of power by itself, something she should've detected once she was moved to this planet, and she wasn't detecting anything other than Ionhazard, now that she knew it was him. The conundrum fascinated her. Sadly, she didn't recognize the humanoids, but with enough observation she could at least pin them as friendly or not. She ordered the drone to move closer, and it did so warily, flying into the canopy of a nearby tree to try and hide so it wouldn't be caught spying.

(Edited to change where the drone ended up.)

   ----------

   Sector 2: Temple Time!

Glail's eyes lit up at Swift's words. "Whooaaa! You have friends who know magic?! I've heard it exists but never seen it." A look of puzzlement then flashed over her features at the comparison to a real dragon, and she looked back at the statue, thinking for a moment. It had a long neck, and four legs, a snout and a tail, but... Ionhazard didn't look like it! She looked up at the Commander, noting how different he looked, with seven tails and a head that looks liked nothing but snout with an eye on the end of it, and he had arms as well as four legs. He also looked more... constructed? Angular? Is that what Swift meant by a robot?

Ionhazard was looking back at her, because he liked Swift's idea as well. If they can go inside the castle, well, he won't be able to asphyxiate anyone, but they'd be able to do a lot more scouting than he would. Pawning off his work onto someone else was a very enticing idea!

Glail stared at him for a few seconds before she couldn't help but blurt out: "You're not a dragon! You're a robot!!"

"Reality to Glail," he hummed in amusement. "You have my permission to go down. Explore the castle all you want; gives me less to do."

Glail gasped. "Really?!" she cried. The machine didn't answer with words, instead slowly lowering himself all the way to the ground, claws spreading out to distribute the weight, then lowering the upper half of his body, rotating his left arm so the two girls wouldn't fall off. There was a thud when he set his arm on the ground and put weight on it, making Glail cling to his shoulder - and Swift - from the brief vibration. When everything seemed okay, she let go, staring down his arm which he had sloped almost like a ramp. She wasn't as high up anymore!

The wolf laguz let out a happy squeal, hopping up and skipping down his arm with excitement. "Come on Swift!" She showed off with a backflip near the bottom, transforming into her wolf form mid-air and landing on all four paws. After a glance back at her friend, she spun in circles on the soft grass, barking with glee, eager to explore the forest and its temple up close. Ionhazard kept his face flat and stern, more focused on psyching himself up for protecting the two since it was Mother Machine's orders to preserve them.

Renarin was still blinking spots out of his eyes as he snatched up the sword, not bothering to pause in his movements through the flash. He braced himself for the screech of pain--

And gasped for a different reason entirely. Oh…

There wasn’t pain. There was harmony. The buzz under his fingers was a hum, a chord that rang throughout his body in perfect sync with Glys’ bond thrumming in his soul. He felt...he felt powerful. Energized. In tune in a way he hadn’t even achieved with his spren.

The stone creature, by contrast, had fallen over completely. Renarin gripped Rudolph’s hilt and swung, putting all his strength behind the arc of the blade.

That creature would not rise again.

For a heartbeat, Renarin paused, staring at what was clearly a kind of corpse. “Is this what it’s supposed to be like?” he asked Rudolph. “You were talking about compatibility...is this what it feels like to be--be compatible?”

But he heard Rudolph’s response only faintly, filtered through a haze of sudden pain as the wound on his back throbbed once again in a surge that made him stumble. “Glys,” Renarin mumbled through gritted teeth, “are you sure about that healing?”

“Um…”

Great. Well. That wasn’t encouraging.

It could wait. It would have to. There were more monsters to fight. He could fight. He would. He would help.

A sharp crack-groan caught his attention amidst the chaotic noise of the battle, and Renarin’s attention snapped to the not-Thunderclast struggling against what now looked like an incredibly strange tree. “She doesn’t like to fight,” Renarin remembered. “She doesn’t want to--I’ll help her.”

Rudolph’s power humming in sync with his bond, Renarin readjusted his grip and charged into a new battle.

[Sector 2- Avalar]

In Combat: 6 Grublins

In the Distance: 1 Troll, idle, walking away

Status: 2 down for the round

4 healthy and VERY angry

Action: ATTACK!

The Grublin that was pecked by Biyomon rests on the ground, letting out small whining noises. The one Kouji sent flying takes a minute to recuperate, also whimpering, while it tries to deal with the pain of the blow.

The other four are varying levels of angry. One makes its way towards Naomi, getting ready to swing its club. The one Biyomon attacked, in its anger, swings right back at her. And the last two? They immediately make their way towards Kouji and prepare their swings....

As soon as Ionhazard bent to let them down, Glail was jumping off to explore.

"Come on Swift!"
Her companion needed no further persuasion.

The outlaw bounded down the robot’s gigantic arm to join her on the grass, shifting in the blink of an eye into a winged wolf form and carousing around with her friend. I haven’t felt real grass since I last saw Roland. Real grass, in her opinion, was natural, fresh grass in a place untouched by pollution, as in Sherwood. A wave of joy wanted to burst out and send her careening around Glail, and she let it, springing up onto her paws and running madly in circles with the laguz in the center — a howl of pure glee escaped her and she gave a little jump as it did.

Ionhazard addressed them then, giving them permission to enter the huge structure.

"Explore the castle all you want; gives me less to do."

Huh. Maybe a little suspicious... but okay! She leapt up towards the castle and beckoned Glail with a wave of her tail and a flick of her ears. “C’mon, Glail! Let’s go inside!” Once they were out of earshot, however, she leaned closer to the blue wolf. “We’ve got to be careful. We don’t know what’s inside there, and there might be hostile.. entities waiting to catch us. Watch out,” she murmured.

53-F38-D9-E-03-CA-4-B75-ADB7-F9-C0791645

Peter beamed. He had finally done something right! See, he could take care of himself, and others, too!

Now he turned back to their assailant. What he saw was, needless to say, not good. It now had six legs and teeth and was headed straight for them.

Very not good! I really could use a mythical Asgardian hammer right now. He tugged at the lady’s arm. “I’m going to assume that thing’s not just going to take us to its leader.”

Now what should I do? Throwing it with a web hadn’t worked. He had nothing to hit it with.

And it was looking really. Really. Angry.

Not good, not good, not good--!! Hibiki saw the stone creature shift once more, aiming to attack again. She was quick to shove her savior out of the way, but that didn't leave any room for her to get out of the way herself. This was going to get messy.

And got messy it did, as this time the creature struck her left arm and her right leg with its jaw, causing nasty wounds on both and causing her next strike to miss. God, it's the Nephilim all over again, she couldn't help but think to herself...

And she shuddered at the thought of what that foe had done to her.

Oh, god, Tachibana's not doing well... For a brief moment, Kaiba looked down, briefly considering sending Assault Wyvern to help Hibiki...

And that's when he noticed the eldritch glob near his foot. EW. Kaiba lifted his foot up and unceremoniously crushed the glob underneath his heel.

Play time was clearly over. "Assault Wyvern, again - slash it apart!" The smaller dragon flew in, wings once more as blades, and slashed at the wooden creature. Then it darted up and away, allowing the larger dragon to get a clear shot. "Now let's finish it off, Blue-Eyes..." Kaiba grinned as he called out his dragon's signature attack:

"White Lightning!!"

A brilliant beam of bright blue light was fired from the Blue-Eyes White Dragon's mouth, tearing across the battlefield and aimed right at the wooden creature.

If that didn't finish it off, Kaiba didn't know what would.

[U and R - Sector 1 -North Midsection]

When Kaiba yells "White Lightning", Utakata doesn't expect much.

That's a mistake.

A wicked burst of light strikes the remainder of the wooden beast, seemingly demolishing it as it hits full force. Utakata yelps and jumps back, collapsing after tripping on a rock. His head hits the ground, but not too hard considering he manages to go back just a little further. He gawks at the area the lightning hit, noting it doesn't look good at all. Damn, what the ****ing **** was THAT???? Utakata thinks to himself. He doesn't like the blinding light, or the noise, or the absolute unit that was that entire strike. Then he rubs the back of his head. Ouch.

Riza looks at him with an incredulous expression before taking aim at the stone beast's rear half. She fires a shot, but it misses. "God dammit!" She barks. "What's going on with my aim today???" She winces at Hibiki, who gets smacked pretty hard by it. "Hang on Hibiki, if I can get in another shot...."

Ugh. He still felt like a sour note. Blixer didn't trust this place, but then again, he hadn't seen any heroes or villains either. The last thing he'd seen was a bird in the sky, and he knew birds didn't exactly have a moral compass (good or bad).

"...ugh, god. I wish I wasn't lost right now. First I wake up in god-knows-where, then I find that I have my crown back for some reason, then I see myself in this weird new body..." He groaned just from thinking about it all. This had undoubtedly been the strangest day of his life so far - and he'd had plenty of strange days!

Here was to hoping whoever owned this place wasn't hostile. He began to approach the castle.

"H-He's been doing well, Lady Cranstoun... A bit concerned as of late, but otherwise in good health. I was about to go inform him of your leader's decision on an upcoming meet--" The messenger's voice trailed off. "Who is this? A newcomer?"

"Ah, shoot, didn't get a name. I was about to bring him to meet my leader herself."

"May I come with you, Lady Cranstoun? I feel your leader did not tell me everything to relay to Lord van Baelsar."

"Sure, you can come with me, Lycus. Something must have come up after you came--"

"Something did come up, Millaarc. One that requires both my and Gaius's utmost attention..."

The newcomer then looked at the stranger with violet eyes, red rings glowing ever so slightly. "...so be swift. Your god cannot wait this time. Who is this?"

[ another new guest? ]

[ Location: Sector six ]

The prinny screamed when it was attacked in a flurry of wingbeats. Laharl pointed and laughed, until both birds apparently exhausted each other. For a split second, Larahl considered simply crushing the intruder's skull underfoot, but it seemed like that zombie would be a fresh source of entertainment in the otherwise quiet halls of this castle. Like the traces of the animals composing it -- pigeon, crab, garbage -- it appeared to be quite stupid and harmless. And if anything-- his vassal Etna might get a kick out of it. It was probably some wayward wildlife, but if it did belong to another sector villain... Then they'd have to come to Laharl's own territory and take it back by force. Earlier, despite his laughter, he had the antenna-raising feeling that they were being watched, somehow, so he didn't discount the possibility just yet.

Pinning one of the bird's wings to the ground with the sole of his boot, Laharl fearlessly made a grab for its throat and closed his fingers around its neck, holding it tightly much like one might hold a freshly killed duck.

"Overlord Laharl, sir, dood!" a second prinny interrupted, stepping around the one that had been assaulted. "There's someone approaching the castle!"

Laharl peered out the window. Sure enough, there was a bright pink, almost glowing speck making its way slowly towards his base of operations. He looked at the bird in his grip, then at the figure. The sector had been so boring lately that it was hard to think that two visitors in a day was pure coincidence... He frowned.

"Hey!" Laharl stuck his head out and yelled down from the window at the pink man, who was now close enough for the Overlord to make out as what he could best describe as a person with a completely circular head. Some sort of prince, maybe? With a crown and a glowing white triangle on their head. The Overlord did approve of those clothes, though. Spikes and capes are always in fashion.

He held the Twisted bird out the window and waved it around roughly. "Is this your pet?!"

   It's Almost Down, Folks!

Well, the glob didn't last long. Kaiba was quick to react and kick off the hideous thing. When it hissed and came back at him, he stomped right down on it. It didn't need a lot, but at least he could be sure it wouldn't move again.

The Twisted seeped out of the glob and into the ground, causing the component parts to collapse and revert to ordinary stones and grass, with just a touch of wood mixed in. That's one down!

Both the wood ram and the stone ram's head were decimated as well: the former receiving more than enough ballistic and thermal power to both shatter and set it aflame. It let out one last awful scream at the onslaught, the branch holding Neea snapping at the base, and the whole monster fell to smoldering pieces. The Twisted dripped off this monster as well, no longer having the power to hold it together, nor infect anyone else. As the red goop slipped off the parts, all that was left was plain wood, seared mutton, and bones. Even the eye had disappeared, seemingly still alive as it slipped out with the goop and entered the ground.

The latter was already so weak, and stunned to boot, that all it took was a last, deft plunge of the blade, and it wedged the monster apart. The Twisted let this one pass away too, leaving the head and turning it back into mutton and rock. Now, all that was left was the remaining half of this ram.

Riza shot at it, but only one bullet hit, and not at a very vital point, causing only a reflexive twitch. The Twisted "raminsect" proceeded its leap toward Hibiki and Peter. Hibiki shielded him, causing the raminsect to successfully bite down on her shoulder, then wrap its legs around like claws, refusing to let go. Hardly an affectionate hug, it continued to bite and squeeze, determined to take out at least one person for the Twisted.

Renarin's infection wasn't going unnoticed either, as the Twisted remotely attached to it, investigating the other souls involved. It wasn't every day that it came across a human with two souls, and wielding a third. It decided that, to take advantage of this unique opportunity, instead of just infecting one person it would only fight against efforts to heal it, and instead put its energy into tainting these other two souls, all the while sending a strong feeling that the nearby Sector 3 was home and comfort.

Neea was too engrossed by the still-wrapped branch from the deceased wood ram to help. While it was no longer possessed and squeezing, the branch had broken off and frozen in the new position, keeping her well trapped. She just squeaked and thrashed - only pausing once in shock when lightning flashed around her - trying to break off the branch, wishing she was a Pusher model so she could just shrug dramatically and have it fly off in splinters; but alas, she lacked the strength and was just making a fool of herself.

[Summary:

   Twisted Glob is down!

   Twisted Wood Ram is down!

Twisted Stone Ram Head is down!

Twisted Ram rear half is attached to Hibiki and not letting go.

Neea is still fighting against a dead branch wrapped around her and failing.

Twisted in Ren is attempting to infect Rude (and Glys if it can).]

   ----------

   Byrde!

Is that little boy strangling a Twisted bird? was the thought the prevailing force of Sector 3 had when Laharl roughly grabbed the seagull monstrosity by the neck. The monster squawked something that sounded like "BRAAAK!" and struggled with him. The Twisted ordered it to calm, and it did, seizing up again and a very uncomfortable-looking position, letting it be held outside the window. It wasn't afraid of falling, but it was curious as to why the child wasn't afraid of it, unnatural movements and everything. It bent its head down, which dully hit the overlord's arm like a dead thing, keeping everything in view of its single eye.

   ----------

   Temple Foyer

Glail beamed when Swift shared her excitement. She'd never had a friend like her before! It was fun! She followed Swift to the temple's massive doors, a spring in her step for the first time since coming to these strange, green lands. It didn't stop at Swift's warning, though the laguz did twitch one ear.

"Do you think they'll be dragons, or robots?" she asked goofily, "I bet there are dragons in there!" She stood up, placing her forepaws against the doors and expecting them to open, but they didn't even creak at the pressure. "Um..."

There was a rumble behind Glail that made her hair stand on end, and she dropped down and scuttled back when a shadow came over them. Ionhazard figured the doors wouldn't open inwardly, and part of him was tempted to just grab the face of the wall and rip it out, like "here ya go", but he knew he should contain his wanton destruction to something else. So instead he slipped the tip of his claw down its center, turned it, and pulled against the door, prying it open forcefully. Glail barked as the door swung open, the thunderous creaking making her ears hurt. It must be a really old door!

As soon as the door opened, she picked up some strange shouting inside. It sounded raspy and harsh; clearly they had startled someone. Glail walked up and stuck her nose inside. "Hello?!"

Shunk! Tink! Think! She yipped and hopped back as arrows flew at her! A lot of them bounced off the polished floor, but a few sunk into the dirt just moments where she had been. There was more raspy shouting, and the wolf laguz's ears flattened in dismay.

"I don't think they like us," she told Swift.

Ionhazard's face broke into a grin. Hostiles, hm? This might be interesting.

Well. The monstrous tree holding the not-Thunderclast seemed to be down for the count. That was good. She still looked trapped, though, so Renarin kept running towards her.

He stumbled halfway there from another pulse of pain in his back, a shuddering, burning feeling that was starting to spread across the whole of his back, and skidded to a stop. “I’ve had just about enough of this,” he growled to himself. Renarin concentrated and focused his healing in a way he hadn’t attempted before.

The wound in his back re-opened. He felt something be spat out of him and shuddered against the disgusting feeling, but Stormlight danced across the wound and rehealed it. Different. Better. Soothing. Properly healed, now.

He turned around once to glance briefly at the red glob sloughing off the splinter of wood and into the ground. Had that been in him? “Gross.”

“Can heal!” Glys chimed in a pleased tone.

“Can heal,” Renarin agreed, and finished running towards the not-Thunderclast. “I can cut you out,” he told her without preamble, internally hoping it was true. “Hold still for one second--”

He chopped Rudolph’s blade down on the thick wood. The motion took a lot more effort than he’d been expecting--he really was too used to Shardblades--but with the harmony humming in his soul, he managed to cut it through.

“Call for me if you need help,” he told her. “I’m Renarin, by the way, I can’t remember if I told you. I--uh--” His gaze darted past her, where Hibiki was still fighting off the last of the creatures. “I’d ask yours but we’re kind of in a battle tell me later.”

Then he ran off to help Hibiki.

Vyre stepped forwards before--what was it, Millaarc?--could speak, determined to account for himself. “My name is Vyre,” he announced. “I was...dropped here recently. Nobody’s been able to give me an explanation worth a twig in a highstorm.” He paused, frowning. “So you’re the leader here?”

Hibiki was not prepared for the thing to clamp onto her. She was all for friendly hugs, but this was not friendly nor a hug and was definitely not what she'd had in mind. Like her leg before it, her shoulder began to bleed from the bite. Was this it? Was this how she was going to die?

Ikiru no o akirameru na!!

No! I can't just die here! Not now! Hibiki grabs each of the creature's jaws and pulls, prying it off of her, and pushed it away before the pain from her injuries caught up to her. "Kaiba-san!!"

Kaiba had only been able to relish in his victory for a few minutes before he heard Hibiki's voice. He had recalled Assault Wyvern into its card before he'd turned and looked... and regretted doing so. Seeing her in such a state...

That creature had to die. "Again, Blue-Eyes! White Lightning!"

The dragon obeyed, letting loose the same beam that the wooden creature had suffered from, clearly aimed at the stone creature this time.

"Ah, so he does speak!" This pleased her greatly. "I am Shem-Ha Mephorash, the god of this sector. As for how you came here..." She paused, briefly considering her words. "In a way, you could say we all were 'dropped' into this realm, in a sense. Aye, even our nervous messenger here."

Lycus was at attention the minute he was mentioned. "L-Lady Mephorash is right. Even Legatus Gaius van Baelsar - my Lord and commander - was dropped into this realm with no explanation as to how or why. Y-You see, my Lord rules the neighboring sector to the east, and I am one of his messengers."

"Gaius leads Sector 14, as Lycus explained, but some of us leaders have taken to naming our sectors, and Gaius chose to name his sector 'Castrum Multaversum'. I was about to travel there to speak to him in person."

Millaarc's eyes widened. "A-Are you sure, Shem-Ha?! With no escorts?!"

"Do relax, my little vampire, Vanessa and Lycus will accompany me." Shem-Ha looked to Vyre then. "Would you like to come along, Vyre? You can make friends in very high places in this realm, you know..."

"Hey!" The sharp voice was enough to grab Blixer's attention, and he looked up at its owner. No sooner did he look than he saw this person - whom he assumed to be the castle's owner - waving something around.

So that's where that bird went.

"Is this your pet?!"

"Wh-- No??? That's not mine! I swear I've never seen it before in my life!" Now that he saw a few more of its details, it didn't look like any bird he'd ever seen. Heck, it barely even resembled a bird. He wasn't sure what was going on with that thing but it wasn't pretty.

"I don't suppose it's your pet, now is it?" Blixer figured this guy wouldn't have asked if it had been.

[ Hello Twisted My Old Friend ]

[ Location: Sector One ]

[ Form: Weapon ]

Rude thought he had blacked out for a second. All his senses went dark except for a high pitched ringing in his ears and a flash of pain through his nerves. He cursed and gripped his face with a hand, though no one was there to hear him. Where was the enemy? Maybe this was a failed operation from the start, but at least he himself could remain safe and out of the way in this form, provided the corrupted spirits from those creatures didn't chose the steel in his blade as their next host.

He didn't even have the time to wallow in despair before he felt someone pick him up. The first contact was like getting power suddenly restored to a building after a storm and for a few fractions of a second Rude felt immense relief over finally finding a new match -- until he noticed the soul signature was undeniably Renarin's. Out of all the improbable things that had happened so far, this was the first thing that truly surprised him since he was plucked from the manor, though the prince's repeated attempts at trying something entirely hopeless over and over again did come a close second.

He thrust his hands forward and snapped his eyes open. His sword body responded by sliding back the protective cover of the gem on its crossguard, revealing a glassy yellow eye with a slit pupil.

“You were talking about compatibility...is this what it feels like to be--be compatible?”

"Mmmmm.... Yes..."  he replied to Renarin, humming his satisfaction. Whatever it was that clicked into place, Rude didn't want to question it too much until they were done. "Normally compatibility shouldn't fluctuate on a whim like this, so it's much more efficient and reliable to simply find someone who..." Rudolph trailed off. Oh, he wasn't listening anymore -- or was the question rethorical to begin with? Either way, much like how Rude ended up withholding his questions, he also chose to withhold his explanations for a later date. Their allies seemed to be gaining the upper hand at the moment. It wouldn't be long until they could catch a breather.

Earlier, Renarin's fighting style bothered Rudolph more than he cared to admit. Now that his head had cleared he noticed that there was a certain logic to it. The prince's way of handling a blade, from his stance to his movements, implied that he was used to handling something bigger... but not necessarily heavier. There was little Rude could do for him at the moment as he was cutting through wood, but it was food for thought if they were to continue to collaborate.

With all his attention focused outwards he almost didn't notice the corruption seeping into his own soul. Seeping was the wrong word -- it probed with purpose, trying to find a weak point to enter much like how it had crawled itself into Renarin's wound.

One impression hit Rudolph like an incoming storm wall, heavy as a sheet of falling water that crashed into his front side all at once.

Home.

Specifically, a home of darkness and of swirling black and red clouds, where any living things were stripped bare until nothing but their skeletons remained. A place, where mixed amalgamations of things similar to these twisted goats roamed -- no, prowled  -- around with a direction, but no real will of their own. And yet... Rudolph regarded the impression with an irrational fondness. As if he had lived there his entire life and wanted nothing but to return...

A part of him screamed that there was magical manipulation making him succumb to madness, and that voice only grew louder until it finally broke through -- leaving him to wonder what the hell that was. That twisted fragment had been forcefully purged out of the already crowded soulspace in quite a literal fashion, though Rude still felt on edge from having it put pressure on his wavelength. Even if he didn't have a heart at the moment, Rude could feel his pulse thumping in his chest in the aftermath. He could still sense the fragmented soul that was pushed out, falling to the ground and percolating through the dirt just like all the other bits they had defeated.

No... Again, percolating was too passive of a word. These things filtered downwards, then headed towards the mountain range with a sense of purpose. Rude kept track of them until they were out of the range of his Soul Perception. If they were heading somewhere specific, like had guessed, it was unlikely that they would have changed direction if they could travel uninhibited underground. It was just a guess, but they were probably heading to that... home. Dammit, this was how madness began, wasn't it? An irresistible pull towards power that eventually ate away at its user, all while infecting everyone around them. He could only hope to whatever God that was out there that his brother wouldn't have fallen into those deadlands of red clouds and bare trees where these twisted things were from.

"I do not sense any more of those corrupt fragments," Rudolph announced after steadying his voice. "The ones we defeated are all fleeing toward the same direction underground, heading left and burrowing underneath the mountain range."  That, of course, was too odd of a behavior to be a product of chance. "I'll be returning to human form now, if I may have your permission? I think everyone would be interested to hear my theory that someone might be messing with us."

[U and R - Sector 1 -North Midsection]

Riza grins when she manages to get another shot in. She managed to get something in before Kaiba sent his oddly-built dragon to throw in another excessive attack at the rear half of the stone creature. Perhaps the shot didn't do much- but at least the complete overkill that was the white lightning attack did some damage. But she hopes, somewhere in the back of her mind, that that's the end of it. To her relief, Hibiki manages to pry herself free from its grip.

Still, she aims her gun. Better safe than sorry.

Utakata, still trembling from the last lightning attack, sends out one more wave of bubbles. His hand that holds the pipe shakes quite a bit as he does so, causing the pipe to fall right out of his hand. "S-shoot," Utakata hisses as he bends down to pick the pipe up. Some of the fluid leaks out from the mouthpiece, and Utakata shakes his head at that.

Then another flash of lightning hits- Kaiba has attacked the stone beast this time. Utakata yelps again and drops the pipe, covering his ears. He forgets that his bubbles are explosive, or that they even exist, because they detonate just a few feet over Kaiba's head.

Utakata jumps in shock, and then blinks hard. "Crud, sorry! Sorry!" He hastily picks up and wipes off the pipe with his sleeve. "Aaaaaaagh," he quietly groans as he tries to get his act together. Something about lightning.... Why does it scare him so much?

This was it. This was how he was going to die.

Doppio's feet dragged across the ground as he trekked through the magmatic wasteland. He took in sharp breaths that filled his lungs with fire with each desperate gasp. Today had turned out to be utterly bizarre. One moment he was aimlessly wandering out a picturesque meadow, then the next he was shivering behind a bus while a bunch of strangers were engaged in battle. There was no doubt in his mind that they were a group of Stand users, but he hadn't the slightest clue who any of them where! If none of them were in Passione's collective data bank, which Doppio made sure to review frequently, that could only mean one thing: they were a new rival gang who were bent on the destruction of Passione and its members. Clearly, there was no other logical explanation give then circumstances.

Normally, Doppio would happily defend Boss's honor by pummeling the enemies with King Crimson's fists, but Boss couldn't call him and if Boss couldn't call him then he couldn't lend King Crimson to Doppio. So, Doppio did the only thing he could do; he ran as far away from the battle as he possibly could with the intent of not stopping until he physically couldn't move. If the burning ache in Doppio's calves were any indication, he had reached his limit.

Doppio's legs began to shake violently. He whimpered aloud, forcing himself to take a few more steps forward before he unceremoniously collapsed face first into the ground. Doppio, with his face buried into the stone, let out a weak moan. Why was the ground so warm? It felt like he was going to get burned if he kept his face on it for much longer. With the last ounce of his strength, Doppio rocked his body over onto his side before meekly pushing himself onto his back. When he was running, he had been so propelled by his own desperation that he took little heed to his surroundings. Looking around now, Doppio could see that the ground was completely devoid of vegetation. Beyond the ingenuous rock that made up the ground, there was what appeared to be a dock constructed from that same rock with strange fish-like boats floating unharmed in a lake of bubbling lava.

Doppio blinked slowly. The cogs in his mind whirled as fast as they could to come up with an explanation for what he was saying. Ah! He knew where he was!  He must have run so fast he trip, fell, and died instantly without ever noticing and now he was in Hell to atone for his sins. Doppio sighed in defeat, his arms flopped uselessly on the ground beside him. So this was really it, huh? He always thought he would die to an enemy Stand, but he had hoped he had a kinder death. Maybe he could have lived a full life. He could have gotten married, started a family, and live a happy career before peacefully passing away in his death bed surrounded by his loved ones. That would have been a perfect way to end his life, but no, it was not to be

Doppio caught a yellow blur in the corner of his eye. Turning his head slightly, he caught sight of his slime friend gently floating up into the air. Doppio cocked his head to the side in curiosity. Did he really carry the slime with him the entire time? With Doppio's arms no longer holding it tightly to his chest, the slime was now free to roam around or, in this case, float away. Doppio tilted his head up as the slime continued to ascend upwards. Maybe somewhere beyond the dark crimson sky was a gateway to heaven. Perhaps the slime was never meant to go to Hell and now it was floating back to the correct afterlife.

With great effort, Doppio raised his arm and waved at the slime.
"Bye-bye," he said softly before dropping his hand to his chest. Doppio sighed a final time then slowly closed his eyes. Selfishly, he wished Boss could call him one last time.

[S - Sector 2 - Burned Lands [Secret Tunnel entrance]]

"Bye-bye," Silver hears someone say from not too far off. Ah crap, he thinks, First I can't find this girl, and now I'm hearing things. It's been a hell of a month. He checks his dex one more time, more out of habit than anything else. His eyes roll upwards as he remembers, yet again, that there are no Pokémon around these parts. Checking his pockets, he realizes that Green's handkerchief is also missing from his person. So much for taking his jacket off just to cool off a little.

Right, the voice. He looks around and walks towards the entrance of the secret tunnel, just a little ways from the dock, taking note of an oddly colorful man laying in a heap on the ground. Why is he doing that? Does he not realize how hot it is around here? Silver approaches with caution, noting just how gaudy his clothes are. Augh, Gold could never. When he gets close, he also sees one of the slimes from that neighboring land not too far from the man. Silver peeks at it before kneeling down next to the man.

"Oi."

No response.

"Oi."

Still nothing. It really is too hot for this nonsense, but with that girl running around snatching his stuff, he couldn't just shed his outer layer. He sighs, reaches out, and pokes the man in the cheek. "Anyone in there?" His Weavile looks up at him, shaking his little head as if to tell him that's a bad idea. Silver briefly contemplates, in this man's clearly dazed state, looting him and running away.

No. He has plenty of stuff he's stolen from that temple, it's bad enough that big purple dragon almost caught him. He doesn't want bright purple things chasing after him.

E6AhPPV.png

[U - Sector 1 -North Midsection]

The creature, when Utakata can finally process things again, seems to be struggling. The anger that comes from the embarrassment of reacting so strongly to the lightning in front of everyone is quick, hot, and warranting a reaction. Utakata doesn't make any further noise. He makes little extra movements as he reaches into his kimono, slips out one of his two remaining kunai, and with his writing arm he throes it straight forward.

The knife flies true through the air, nailing the remaining piece of the stone ram.

Utakata finally takes a step back and the left corner of his mouth twitches upwards just a little bit. Perhaps he still has a good throwing arm after all that time, after all. And what's more, it was a very cathartic throw, any anger he'd felt melting back into exhaustion. Perhaps Renarin's healing didn't quite replenish chakra the way he'd wished.

   Yay Fight Finish!

The Twisted raminsect was able to cling to Hibiki and tear at her shoulder, though thanks to her gear she was able to shove it off of her. It fell and spun on the ground, bending its legs upside-down so it could stand again, though it endured a flurry of counterattacks: first being hit so hard with a thick branch that it was flung, then being electrocuted mid-air, shot at, then landing hard on the other side of the battle. It scrambled up with a hiss, when a knife was flung squarely into its core, breaking it in two.

The parts twitched for a bit, the Twisted forming strands between them to try and pull them back together. It was weakening though; it had spent too much time outside its influence. With a sort of equivalent of a sigh, the strands drooped, and the red curse seeped back into the ground, traveling back home. Like the other deceased ram monsters, it left behind only rocks and mutton. A relief!

   ----------

   Neea

Neea had processed a voice next to her, and heard slashing and the dry wood splintering, but was hardly processing it, only recognizing that she needed to stay still for a moment. She had only stared in shock when the being who freed her rapidly introduced himself. Then he ran off.

"W-Wait, what?!" she yelled. She thrashed, throwing the rest of the debris off her. There was a cry from the yellow being, who was being attacked by the other half of the grey monster; she couldn't tell what it was before, and she couldn't see what it was now! The way it was structured didn't seem physically possible!

She had simply sat there, shivering, watching the fight, until the being clad completely in red - when did he arrive? - swung a branch at the creature. It hit true and flung her way, making her beep and skip out of the way, she tried to hit it on the way past, but was way too slow, and she jumped at another gunshot that whizzed past her, making her flatten her blades in distress. The monster was somehow still moving though. It looked like an overturned insect, but its legs bent the other way, reforming so now it was "belly"-up. Her eye widened in amazement and horror. She hadn't been paying attention to what the stone monster could do. It seemed to be from the same crop as the wood one!

It jerked forward, and she started back - when a knife sang past her and sunk deep into it, breaking it into two. She watched it struggle before the redness seeped out of it, disappearing the way water does on hot sand.

She stared, quivering. The rocks didn't move. Meat didn't twitch.

   Then she broke down.

"Aaaa-AAAAAAA!!" she wailed, coming to her knees and throwing her arms over her face, "What was that?! What was it what was it what was it?! I don't like it here! I don't!! I don't I don't I d-don't I do-d-don't- I dd--don'-d-dd-ddd...!" Her babble disintegrated into hysterics. What happened to Zirhon?! What happened to drones, a-and Superiority models and planes and craft - and what happened to my friends?! Where's my family?! Neea's mind rewound through the battle, trying to make sense of the blur; but the only things that seemed clear were the emotions: fear, frustration, sheer panic . She just aggressively shook her head, clutching it well as one with guns for hands could.

Neea! Get ahold of yourself! The combat side of her, unaffected by it all, seemed to seize up her threads, halting the whirlwind and chaos of her virtual mind. You're okay! Everyone's okay! That's the point of winning!

I-I didn't want to win- she objected.

You didn't want to lose, did you?

She dared a quick peek at the pile of rubble and raw meat, which was possessed just a few seconds ago. Rocks weren't alive. She wasn't flesh. That red stuff could've stuck to her, or worse, but it was gone, now; but what the heck was it?! Why was she the one here dealing with this? There were so many more qualified mechs!

You're a combat model, her programming sourly reminded her. She didn't really feel like one, though.

Whoa! That was close, thought Swift as she lay sprawled on the floor inside the temple.

Upon contriving to enter the huge structure, Glail had tried to open the door, but to no avail. Then the shapeshifter had stepped back, darted forward for a running start and launched herself at the doors —

And then Ionhazard had pried them open with a gigantic claw and she went tumbling into the passageway.

Just as she was about to tell Glail to stand back, just in case, arrows had flown over her head at the laguz, and her friend had ducked, then turned to her worriedly. "I don't think they like us."
Well, that was rude. Shooting arrows at an archer. She shook her head in mock disapproval. “We have three choices,” she mused aloud to Glail and Ionhazard, “we could leave this place right now or we could go in there and fight them or we could go in peacefully to show we mean no harm. The second one is more my style.” She winked at Glail.

But if we just barged in there, there might be more of them, and they’d be fighting on their own turf. Also they might have better weapons...” And might kill us, her brain added matter-of-factly. But obviously that’s a bad scenario. A good one would be them helping us get rid of Mr. Metalface here.

With a whisk of her tail she nodded, solidifying her earlier statements and looked to Glail for her opinion. “Those are our choices.”

The kind lady had shoved Peter aside before the monster lunged at and grabbed ahold of her.

Now what? He was feeling incredibly lost in this fight. It wasn’t as if this was the Avengers war again, a formerly great team battling amongst themselves; he had a clear opponent. But this time he had nothing to use, with his web sure to wither and turn red again and nobody giving him any helpful tips.

This time, though, the singing lady managed to pry it off herself and cast it on the ground. He sighed in relief. Man, I’m bad at this. Maybe I should... He looked around and had a sudden epiphany. I can help after all! Dashing past his new friend, he grabbed a huge stick, pulled back, and swung it as hard as he could at the crazy-looking monster.

It connected with a thump and the creature was thrown up into the air, then bombarded in a flurry of attacks by the other members of the group.

He had a moment to rejoice in this brief victory before a knife sliced through the air and scored a perfect hit. Their enemy crumbled and collapsed onto the ground, defeated.

“We did it!” Peter exclaimed. He briefly considered hugging someone but decided against it since he’d only known them for barely half an hour. So he settled for announcing his jubilation to Karen.

Now that the fight was over, he turned to the nice lady he had encountered earlier and held out a hand for her to shake.

“Hi. We haven’t been properly introduced. My name’s Peter. What’s yours?”

Mòrag Brighid | Sector 2 - Burning Lands

"I shall take my leave now, lord Niall. If you have need for me while I'm gone, you can always send for me"

Mòrag was offering her formal goodbyes to lord Niall, afore heading towards Hardhaigh Dock and taking a titan ship to Torigoth Relay Base.

"I don't think that will be necessary, lady Mòrag. You won't be gone for very long, after all. Make sure you stay safe out there."

"Very well, I shall make sure I return safely. For now I bid you farewell."

With that Mòrag turned away, Brighid following along, headed towards Torigoth, until...

Mòrag and Brighid passed through the door, but instead having entered the titan ship, they suddenly found themselves in a very hot and dry place.

"Brighid."

"Yes, lady Mòrag?"

"What happened?"

"I do not know, lady Mòrag. After entering the ship, we suddenly ended up here... I noticed a change in the ether, but it was nothing I could recognize."

"I see."

Mòrag and Brighid looked around, taking in the new environment. This was nothing like anything they had ever seen. This land was more barren than the Chansagh Wastes, and the heat was much worse. Were they... stranded on an undiscovered titan? It certainly was nothing like any titan Mòrag had ever seen on the countless maps she'd laid eyes on. To think that a titan this big had lived undiscovered all this time, it was an exciting discovery. Less encouraging, however, was the realisation that they were now stranded on a titan nobody knew existed, without any means of navigation, not to mention means to traverse the cloud sea and get back to Mor Ardain - Mòrag had already given up on making it in time for her task in Torigoth. She hoped her subordinates would be capable enough to deal with it in her place.

"Oi."

A voice, but from where...

"Oi."

Again. This time Brighid managed to pick up where it came from.

"I think we should investigate, wouldn't you agree?"

"Certainly, if there are others here, they might be able to tell us where we are."

It turns out they were not that far away. Two young men and some weird creature. It had some sort of crystal embedded in its forehead, but it didn't seem like it could be a core crystal... or could it?

"Anyone in there?" The standing man asked the one lying on the ground. It seems he was trying to this other man's attention.

Mòrag approached.

"Greetings, gentlemen. Would any of you be able to tell us what titan we are on right now?"

"We somehow stranded here on our way from Mor Ardain to Gormott. We would like to make our way back to either as quickly as possible. Any help would be appreciated."

"Oi."

A voice. Had a demon come to take him? Was that the Devil himself taunting him before dragging him into the fiery pits of Hell? How cruel! Why couldn't the person jeering at him hurry up and do whatever it was they intended to do to him? At least then he could hurry up and get his punishment done and over with.

"Anyone in there?" The question was followed by a poke to Doppio's cheek. The finger was astonishingly cooler than the heated stone Doppio was laying on top of. Doppio shivered involuntarily. A demon wouldn't be cold, would it? Doppio's eyes flickered opened slowly. He registered the sight of two blurry images standing in front of him. He sluggishly pressed his palms to the ground and pushed himself up into a sitting position. His aching body protested against the movement, but Doppio ignored it as best he could. Slowly, his vision began to focus just as two more shapes enter into his view. Doppio could vaguely register the two newcomers saying something just as their silhouettes transformed into a more defined image. Doppio blinked. There was three, no, two humans, a woman whose arms and hair appeared to be on fire, and a weird bipedal cat. Doppio blinked again, making sure that he wasn't hallucinating. The figures did not vanish from view; they were very much real. Well, that was good to know.

Doppio let out a high-pitched shriek. He attempted to stand up and run, but his exhaustion caught up with him. He managed to take a few steps back before tumbled back onto his rear. He backed away from the group as fast as he could until his back slammed straight into something. Doppio glanced behind him nervously. His back was pressed firmly against a large rock jutting out of the ground. Doppio didn't have the energy to run away, and he couldn't try to crawl away when his escape was cut off. He was effectively stuck.

"You!" Doppio pointed wildly at the strangers. "You all brought me here, didn't you?" He was so stupid. He wasn't in Hell, he had been attacked by an enemy Stand! One of the Stand users in Passione had the ability to make a "new world" in a mirror, so it would only make sense for other Stands to be able to do something similar. Doppio glared at the strangers, using the last of his energy to hold his accusatory finger up. "Y-You're all Stand users, aren't you? What do you even want from me? I didn't do anything!" Not strictly true, but Doppio wasn't planning on telling the strangers anything of use.

[S - Sector 2 - Burned Lands [Dock]]

It seems the poking worked. To his luck, the weirdly dressed man starts to stir. Something, to his dismay, reminds him of Rocket Executive Petrel. That disturbs him to no end, so he hopes when the man fully wakes up he doesn't start calling him Boss.

Of course, more company comes. It seems that four is a real crowd. Silver turns when he hears two voices draw nearer.

"Greetings, gentlemen. Would any of you be able to tell us what titan we are on right now?"

"We somehow stranded here on our way from Mor Ardain to Gormott. We would like to make our way back to either as quickly as possible. Any help would be appreciated." Two women- one who appears to be constantly on fire- approach Silver, clearly confused about where they are. Just like he was, and probably like Vin was as well.

Titan? Mor Ardain? Gormott? "I have no idea what you're talking about," he says with a blank expression. "I'm sorry, but honestly I don't know what this place is either. I asked someone in that village over there," he says as he gestures to an island in the middle of the lava lake, "and they said this is a planet called Mul'tillenaya. That's it. Nobody bothered to tell me anything else." Really, that's only half right. He had figured it wasn't worth asking anything else, though in hindsight perhaps he should've asked why there was a village in a place as hot and miserable as this. Why not the place on the other side of the tunnel? He'd looked for things to raid there and it's basically empty.

Is there something more?

He doesn't have much time to think.

Not-Petrel starts blinking, and hard. He seems to be getting his bearings, waking up, coming to, however you want to call it. When it seems he's figured out what's going on, Not-Petrel lets out a shrill scream, causing Silver to clap his hands over his ears. Damn! Who turned the volume all the way up on this thing? Not-Petrel stumbles to his feet, but in exhaustion he stumbles and falls right on his hind end. He seems to scoot back until he slams right into a rock. Now it seems he has no energy to attempt to fight back or run.

So what does he do?

Well, it's very unfortunate that he can still use his voice box.

"You!" Not-Petrel points at the group, a rather deranged look in his eye. But to his relief, he acts, and sounds, nothing like Petrel. "You all brought me here, didn't you? Y-You're all Stand users, aren't you? What do you even want from me? I didn't do anything!"

Silver waits until he stops yelling to remove his hands from his ears. "First of all, I have no clue what a Stand is, unless you mean like a night table or something. Second, I really don't care what you did, but can you please stop yelling? Nobody's planning on beating you with a stick, man." Though I'd like to, he resists the urge to say, "I just found you here. Everyone here is confused, there's a village over there, how about we go there and get some answers before pinning accusations, Not-Petrel. ....Man," he muses to himself, "this month was so peaceful and quiet...."

He walks over to one of the fish boats and pokes around to find the key. When he succeeds in finding it, he swings it so the chain wraps around his gloved finger and the crystal glows in his palm. "Ah.... Anyone need a lift?"

[M - Sector 2 - Temple Throne Room]

"Lord Malefor! Lord Malefor!"

Another Orc runs right into the throne room, distracting Malefor from his puzzle. He looks up in annoyance, his wings spreading out to look larger. "By the Ancestors, what is it now?" By the Ancestors, if there are more intruders in Avalar, Malefor will take several Orcs and play two-being juggling with one of the Trolls. The Orc seems nervous, but he shames his head and drops his axe.

"We have intruders in the Temple, but it seems-"

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT-" Malefor's voice booms throughout the temple. "Go and apprehend them, then! Kill them! What, by the Ancestors, is keeping you idiots from killing them???"

"They've been able to dodge our attacks! And- um- they hid from us."

Malefor swats the puzzle away and brings his head down so it rests on the floor. "Morons," he hisses, "bring them to me. And don't kill them yet. I'll take care of them myself.

Thankful that his life was spared, the Orc runs back across the courtyard and into the main temple.

Hibiki Tachibana
<Status: Seriously Injured>
<Gungnir Symphogear: Active>
<Current Song: N/A (not in battle)>

<Location: Sector 1 - Midsection>
<People: Riza | Utakata | Renarin | Neea | Peter>

~~

Before it had all ended, some of those exploding bubbles had gone off above Kaiba's head, inciting a loud scream and a string of curses from the Duelist, and a death glare sent in Utakata's direction from Blue-Eyes. "Don't... Don't attack him, Blue-Eyes. He's not worth wasting White Lightning on." Reluctantly, the dragon stood down, but continued to glare at the man in the kimono.

It wasn't much longer before the stone creature had fallen. Kaiba sighed in relief - it was finally over.

Even in spite of her injuries, though, Hibiki started laughing, startling Kaiba. "How can you be laughing when we could have died, Tachibana?!"

Hibiki smiled. "Because we didn't die. We're still alive. Isn't that something to be proud of? That and I haven't been in a fight like that in ages!"

Kaiba sighed. "...you're a very strange girl, Tachibana..." Perhaps they needed to find ways to heal their wounds. Yes, Kaiba had some choice words for Utakata, but they were not as important as making sure everyone was still relatively in one piece, so he let them die in his throat.

Hibiki then watched as the one she'd saved celebrated. When he held out his hand and introduced himself as Peter, she was all too happy to shake hands with him - after all, she had a habit of easily bonding with people just by holding their hand. "I'm Hibiki! It's nice to meet you, Peter-san!"

[U and R - Sector 1 -North Midsection]

Riza visibly rolls her eyes when Kaiba speaks to his dragon,

"Don't... Don't attack him, Blue-Eyes. He's not worth wasting White Lightning on."

Utakata's back stiffens at that one. He'd felt something when the battle ended, but it had been completely overshadowed by Kaiba's comment. He seethes a little bit, gritting his teeth together as Kaiba and Hibiki have a little conversation. Hibiki seems like such a sweet girl, and might be extremely disappointed in what he's about to say under his breath. "Shoot, " he hisses,"What a nasty human being. It's a shame, God wasted a perfectly smart man on this." Riza raises her eyebrows in reply, but she decides to approach Hibiki and the newcomer.

"Ah- Peter, right? Sorry you came in at a strange time, and sorry to intrude." She just wants to distract the younger people from the fight she knows is going to occur if Kaiba doesn't keep himself under control. And for her own sanity, she doesn't want to see it. "First Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye. You may call me whichever part of that you'd like, I don't mind either way." She smiles sheepishly at Hibiki. "Those were some impressive skills, the both of you."

Utakata rolls his eyes, knowing if Kaiba hears what he said that he won't respond well. But he really doesn't care- something about him makes him think his own stepbrother is preferable to Kaiba.

Me thinks we kick his butt.  Utakata freezes. The voice is faint, but he can finally hear it. And what a relief it is.

Saiken?

Yes! Me was trying to reach you!

You told me NO when I was trying to summon you.

Me know not what's going on. Me was in a wall. Me had to say me couldn't but....

A wall? What are you yammering on about?

Me not know. Anyway, my point still stands. Me thinks we should kick that boy's butt. Or remove the stick up there. That makes Utakata grin.

I missed you, Saiken.

Utakata looks to the west. "We need somewhere to rest, and I have no clue if there are any more of those weird things nearby. It's best we move." He blows a large bubble, takes a step into it, and sits down criss-cross. "Anyone need a lift?" Utakata cracks his knuckles, ready to make another bubble or two if needed. That offer, however, only extends to people not named Seto Kaiba. After all, if he's got his dragons, he's fine, right?

💡Utakata will remember you said that.

Mòrag Brighid | Sector 2 - Burning Lands (Dock)

Unsurprisingly, the man on the ground did not show any immediate reaction to Mòrag's question. The other person, however, did reply. But the answer made her realize that the situation she found herself in was much more peculiar - and more dire - than she had thought until now.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," he said with a blank expression. "I'm sorry, but honestly I don't know what this place is either. I asked someone in that village over there," the man gestured towards a village that for some reason was located in the middle of this burning hot liquid,  "and they said this is a planet called Mul'tillenaya. That's it. Nobody bothered to tell me anything else."

He had no idea what they were talking about? Did that mean he had never heard of Gormott and Mor Ardain? And the locals said this planet is called Mul'tillenaya? He had to ask the locals the name of this planet?

"Brighid, I don't think we're on Alrest anymore. And I don't think these people are from this world either. A foreign power of some kind must have dragged us here... but how? And why?"

"I was thinking the same thing. And since we're not on Alrest anymore..." Brighid replied, as it dawned on her what Mòrag must be going through right now.

"
We can't get back to lord Niall anytime soon." Mòrag finished the sentence, before sighing deeply in a sense of powerlessness. "The man will manage. He is wiser than he gives himself credit for, and he still has Aegeon by his side to aid him." Deep down she knew those words were true, but still, she couldn't help but worry.

The other man, who had been lying on the ground quietly this whole time, seemed to finally try to stand up. He struggled, but managed on his own. As the man got a better look at his surroundings, he immediately panicked, ran his back into a wall and started shouting.

"You! You all brought me here, didn't you?" The man seemed genuinely terrified. Mòrag was aware others often percieved her presence as intimidating, but this was beyond anything she had ever experienced. There must be some other reason for his outrageous fear. "Y-You're all Stand users, aren't you? What do you even want from me? I didn't do anything!"

Stand users? Mòrag's curiosity was piqued, but her questions could wait. Top priority right now was to calm down this frightened man.

The red-haired guy attempted to settle things before Mòrag got a chance to talk.

"First of all, I have no clue what a Stand is, unless you mean like a night table or something. Second, I really don't care what you did, but can you please stop yelling? Nobody's planning on beating you with a stick, man. I just found you here. Everyone here is confused, there's a village over there, how about we go there and get some answers before pinning accusations, Not-Petrel."

His choice of words was... somewhat abrasive. But he meant well and got his point across and that, at least, was admirable. The man then walked over to one of the boats in the hot liquid and offered to take everyone to the village.

"Very well. I would appreciate the opporunity to talk with people more knowledgeable about this world." She then directed her attention back towards the other man, who still didn't seem entirely comforted. "Please, come with. We don't mean you any harm, I promise."

Mòrag got in the boat, Brighid following closely. "
It seems we are going to stick together for a while. I think proper introductions are in order. I am Mòrag Ladair, Special Inquisitor of Mor Ardain. Although it seems that does not mean much here."

"
I'm Brighid. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
