And I'm going to lose all my images on that site, for which there are a lot...

How am I going to relocate them all? And where?

Anyone else affected?

when photobucket changed I went with imgur and I'm pretty pleased with it so far. I find it hard to add photos to already existing albums but that might be just me.

Get yourself a dropbox and put them in there.

Does Dropbox allow hotlinking?

Googling that very question indicates a firm "no" to that.

Anyone with a dropbox account could try it here and confirm one or the other way?

I'm pretty sure you can't link to Dropbox. I'll check when I'm next properly online.

Not tinypic, but Photobucket changed when I was inactive on it and nothing was backed up...

Everything on Photobucket should still be there. We just cant hotlink or have lots of images without paying money.

You think ? I hadn't used mine in YEARS, and about half mine up there are greyed out.

ETA went back to check; what it seems to be is that they dramatically lowered the free storage, as part of their "improving your experience PAY NOW" initiative, and if you are over it, they've greyed out enough to get you down.

I have put everything I want on one attached to another forum I'm on. The guys who run that free forum software outfit set the whole thing up to include an image hosting site. Maybe invision should do that...
