ANSWERED:can't use kill action since last year

Recommended Posts

this is likely my first ever post here wooo

so! last year (i think it was on halloween, but i don't exactly remember. it was definitely months and months ago though)  i decided to make some zombies. i said my prayers and solemnly killed some dragons in preparation, and unfortunately none of them became Undead, but since then i haven't been able to use the kill action, and i'm afraid that i won't be able to in time for halloween this year.

i've never known how the banning process works on DC but i'm afraid that perhaps i was banned for killing so many dragons back then.. but maybe the action is just like.. stackable? like maybe i used the maximum kills and i have to wait 2 weeks for every kill? i'm not sure. but if you think this was a kill ban i wanna know how i can fix that... it's not like i was killing dragons just 'cause, yknow? just wnted some zoms

It used to be a bannable offense to kill too many dragons, at least according to the ToC of 9+ years ago - but definitely isn't any more.

However, there are several things that can take your kill slots that don't involve using the kill action - namely every action that can accidentally kill. Like using the Earthquake BSA on your eggs and actually killing some, or using the Vampire's Bite BSA without success. So, did you ever use either of these actions and get a dead egg as a result? Because those accidental kills count towards your limit.

Each kill used up from your quota will return after two weeks. If your quota is used up, you cannot use the kill action, but you can still use Earthquake and Bite - and amass more kills that actually go beyond your quota.

Yes, if kittycam is your scroll name then you have way too many dead eggs to be able to kill anything else. Like Olympe said, vampire deaths will also take away from your number of kills left so while you have five or more vampire fail shells on your scroll you won't be able to kill any adults or hatchlings for zombies. I recommending stopping vampire usage 2 weeks before you want to kill dragons for zombies, so the eggs will have time to disappear. Once you've killed all 5 dragons you can continue making vampires if you don't plan to make any more zombies two weeks later.

Ahhhh thank you that makes a lot of sense! i've basically been using my scroll as a nonstop vampire machine daily for the past couple of months. it completely slipped past me that the deaths from that would count towards the kills, thank you.
