Just made a thread for everyone to discuss what their favorite anime/ video games are and why?

Kabuki: Quantum Fighter on NES The music, the mere IDEA that you would fight enemies with your long HAIR is kinda hilarious, and it takes place inside a computer world!

(On all other devices, Tetris. Can't beat that.)

One of my favorite games is Morrowind, the third game in the Elder Scrolls series. Originally my brother, my mother and I bought Empire Earth 2 (I think) from a store that sells things like used movie DVDs, books, music records and video games, but we returned the game to the store when we discovered its box did not have the CD key the game required for installation, and we were offered to trade in the game for something else - and lo and behold, we swapped it for Morrowind (vanilla, no expansions). And it was love at first sight, at first I sat beside my brother and watched him play but later on I got into the game myself and had an absolute blast with it. Eventually I think the original disk went missing after we moved to a new home, but many years later one day as my mother and I were walking through town, we noticed someone had set up a small stall outside where they were selling a small selection of things, including video games. I saw a box for the Game of the Year-version of Morrowind, asked how much it was (2 euros), and bought it immediately. I still have that box in my shelf. ❤️

 

I love the game because of how unique the world is for a fantasy RPG -- in fact, it was my first ever open-world game so it sucked me in right away. The world feels so large and full of all these intricate details and the game feels like it was really made with love, with so many uniquely named NPCs (heck, even the random bandits you find in caves and dungeons have unique names!), uniquely designed monsters, so many different-looking races to play as... and of course, the modding scene which I discovered after sinking probably a hundred or more hours into the vanilla game. It's been a while since I last played it since in my last playthrough I did absolutely everything I could, completed the main quest, all the faction questlines that I could, finished the expansions' questlines, collected all the artifacts and other unique items in the game, all that kind of stuff. Though I think I feel like I'm getting the itch to play it all again.

 

For the record, I love Oblivion as well. Skyrim and me don't really get along these days, but I did sink well over 500 hours into that thing before I quit.

Favorite game has to be Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, I've always been a fan of the series and I could play those games for hours on end at times. Favorite anime has to be Overlord, I've always had a liking for animes where the main character is horribly overpowered compared to the others.
