Due to the fact we were moving and I completely forgot in the hassle of shuffling boxes from one apartment to the other. Drat! Posted April 24, 2019 I think it's funny that we *still* have this argument of 'TJ needs to cater to the users', this site has been around for over a decade and is still going strong. Obviously the site is working, obviously users are still here. I haven't seen a single holiday event in *years* that didn't have some reason for drama over what should and shouldn't be changed. Every single Halloween/V-day/Christmas mini-game has some sort of drama like that. I'm honestly not sure what people think should've been done differently, besides maybe shorter drop-rates. The official news posts (ie the first post in this thread) clearly states 3 days. If you miscalculated, that's on you. If you didn't realize it's Easter for most of the world, that's on you. If you had other obligations that kept you from collecting all the eggs, that's life. Seriously, this is a free game that we all *choose* to play, it's supposed to be a fun little hobby. I would totally support shorter drop times, and I really wouldn't mind the event being extended, but I really don't get this mentality of 'things HAVE to change because I couldn't get all I wanted out of a free game!'. (Also, the claim that the 'majority' of users didn't get all the eggs is complete assumption, just because some vocal posters here didn't get all of them that shows nothing about actual stats among *all* users...) Regardless, I love all the beautiful eggs this year and I really hope we have open submissions again next year! (And maybe for Halloween Trick or Treat too??) Share this post Link to post

Posted April 24, 2019 I think that a week to finish the event would be nice. The Halloween event is a week long, so there's precedent for it. I finished the event by setting a timer to go off every 15 minutes, basically all day long for both Monday and Tuesday. I could do that because I work from home. 62 eggs over 3 days is 20 per day, which means you have to be checking in very regularly. I think that's an unforgiving schedule. It's fine if the event is intended to be difficult, but I don't think that's the goal here. Let's not get bogged down in who deserves what or who is entitled to what. Of course it's a free game and TJ can do whatever he wants, that's not up for dispute. But that doesn't mean we can't say "XYZ would be nice". Share this post Link to post

A game from the times before RPGs got all destinations marked on the map - you had to find everything on your own, with the help of the clues from NPCs etc. Gothic and Gothic 2 are the games of my teen times^^ The egg shows the symbol of The Sleeper, on of the versions is visible here: Since this symbol is shaped after the head of that creature and kind of looks like a mask to me, I decided my egg to simply wear the Sleeper symbol as a mask. The orange colour simply refers to the cover of the first Gothic game. This game even inspired the makers of The Witcher games, the pride of the Polish game industry:) Both my Witcher egg and this Gothic one were made for FoE 2017 but I only had a slot for one, and I didn't have a chance to submit in 2018. I picked the Witcher one first, because I knew more of you guys will recognize the Witcher reference. Posted April 24, 2019 This is the first time in... probably ever I've managed to get all the eggs. I got 23 last year, 10 the year before, then one in both 2015 and 2016 B: I've had the same amount of free time across the years, but managed to get all the eggs this year without lurking for the whole time but that's just me. Posted April 24, 2019 Wouldn't be a DC event without complaining, I guess. Thank you to all the spriters, and to TJ for hosting the event! There were a lot of eggs I loved, my favorites were either the Lugia or the spinning think egg. The one with the purple eastern dragon wrapped around it is also in my top three.
