What is the best way to spend shards?

Hello! I hope this is allowed here, just wanted a little advice/opinions on this! I've saved about 2500 shards and haven't spent any since I started playing. I was thinking a copper dragon ( maybe green ) since that is one I've never been able to get yet. That or just save them until I have enough for a chicken. ^^

I would only spend them on stuff I can't easily catch or trade for personally. For me, that's golds, silvers, possibly dinosaur/chickens if I ever needed more.

I think your best bet is to get a CB Gold from the market, as that's by far the rarest thing you can buy with shards. Everything else you could possibly buy is easier to get than a CB Gold...

I'm with "buy what you cannot catch" crowd. However, it's also a good idea to think a little further. If you're into breeding projects, a breedable will be way more valuable to you than an unbreedable. What I'd never buy from the market is commons. I can catch them myself, thank you very much.

It really depends on what you want the most. I saved until I had enough for a Gold because that was the thing that my scroll really lacked and I had wanted forever to be able to build lineages with them. I agree with Olympe that it would be a waste to spend them on commons that you see all the time in the cave, but other than that it is really up to you.

 

If a chicken is something that you really want and think you will never get otherwise, then save for that. And since it will take awhile to get those shards, you could always change your mind if you end up being able to catch or trade for one before that.

Shards are good to spend on a dragon you like! Like maybe a rare egg you're having trouble picking up in the cave. But's entirely up to you - they're your shards.

 

I'm saving up for a Green Copper. I've got 1245 shards at the moment of writing this.
