First time ever actually making an account ^-^

Very new here. I have a vague grasp on how forums work from other sites I frequent but I am a little confused with this site. Regs who are here erryday: do I get the ability to edit my profile at some point like maybe once I've been on here for a certain amount of time? I just get the "you are not allowed to edit this profile" error. Tried looking up reasons why but every thread I come across it says that I can't view them. 

 

I'm just a tad bit lost here haha.
