ANSWERED:Make resources movable or make them into movable items

See title. The resources look really nifty, and I'm sure there's lots of people who'd want presents under their Christmas trees or ice spikes in their ice fortress, so I suggest either adding the move icon for them or adding their sprites as items too. A theoretical item should probably be refunded at the same price as its creation to avoid losing resources on accidentally destroying something that looks like a resource. Also it'd be great getting to choose which "resource" you want to have on field and make them instead of waiting for them to spawn.

TJ already said that any you didn't pick up would stay.  As long as you've logged in at least once after they are generated.  So you can use them as decorations. :)

Second this! I want to be able to move some of the resource items, such as placing presents next to a tree, or moving the crystals.

 

The resources are really lovely!

 

I would like to use some of them as decorations, moving them around and placing them. :nyan:

I'd prefer movable duplicates of the resources added to the building list but any variant of this is fine. I had a crystal perfectly placed in my pre-erased save that I haven't been able to generate in that spot since...

Yes, please. Since those are already sprited AND are meant to stay, this is simply a must... (or the craftability)

Especially since it doen't pay off to buld the fort asap, and it's actually better to wait till the last day... because of the scarce resource drop(and no ways to farm them) and high repair costs you can't avoid if you want a chance to rearrange some thigns later.

That issue is long gone, since last night's tweak. We are getting LOADS of drops.

Also support moving them.  I did ask if that was possible in the news thread after he said we would keep them, but I think it was overlooked with all the other on going issues. :)

The current plan is for them to stay. Drops that aren't "claimed" (i.e. you didn't enter the event to generate them) shouldn't appear, though.

I was trying to 'spawn' a present in my house but when something finally spawned there it was the crystal xD But if I delete it, I guess nothign will spawn there again, I still have way too many empty squares to hope that:< If we can't be allowed to craft them, please, just let us move those that spawned around *.*

You could always put some cheap stuff (snow wall...) everywhere save for the place you want to get a present, then shoot some stuff to increase your chances of getting just that. (Presents seem more common as reward for battling than as hourly drops - but that might be just me.)

If the presents/resources are gonna stay after the event finishes, it'd be nice if they were movable.

Otherwise I'm spending the next few days trying to get a present to spawn in a specific place.

@Stromboli You could try covering up all squares except for the one you want the present to spawn on with something cheap that you wont mind destroying later. (like the snowman that costs one snow and refunds you one snow - that way you don't end up at a loss) . Then go battle a bit to gain 'levels' to get present spawns, and harvest whatever spawns on the empty tile until you have a present there (at which point you can remove your army of snowmen). :D

 

@olympe @VixenDra Snowmen refund as much as they cost, so those would be the go-to square-fillers in terms of not losing resources. ;)

that's what i've been doing, it's just. annoying. when it could just be moving one of the heap of presents that i've got taking up space into the place i actually want one.

I did this for a present by blocking the entire map besides the place I wanted a present in. If the resource that spawned there was a different item, I just destroyed it. When I refreshed the page, the next resource "in line" replaced it. Continued until a present showed up.

Occured to me when I was in bed:P And I think I'll actually go for it, because all those presents I left there make it much more difficult to me to finish my fort:o

I don't *** believe it! I accidntally deleted my perfectly placed mana crystal, missclicked😭 I tried to spawn 2 more in just 2 empty slots ALL NIGHT and now I need 3!

Please TJ, have mercy, all that's spawning is presents and hardly any of the normal resources:'( just let us buld them, the can cost 5 times as much as they normally give, I don't care, Ijust need to place them where I need them😣

It would be nice if they were added as buildable items. I don't want the ones that spawn naturally to be movable, though. After half my fort gets blown up, the lack of a move button is sometimes the easiest way to tell if I've properly clicked on the resource I was aiming for instead of, say, Claudius sitting next to it. >___< I foresee lots of accident-deletes.
