Welcome to the Photography Contest!

Here you submit photos you've taken and users vote on which photo they like the best!

  

Submission deadline: January 6th

This time, the theme is: Coniferous

 

Pretty straightforward, take a picture involving a conifers/evergreens! Show us what you've got!
 

Voting deadline: January 13th

Rules

- One entry per person.

- Picture has to be made by yourself and can't be just a reproduction of someone's work. If someone else's work is in the picture, there needs to be something extra.

- No manipulation besides basic photo adjustments (contrast, exposure, cropping, color balance, lighting, etc.).

- No text or framing in the photo. A signature/watermark is just fine, but it's preferable if you don't have "O Hai Eye Hav3 T3XT" (or something similar) present in the photo.

- When voting, please don't select your own image. This will ensure fairness.

- You are free to submit an old photo; you don't need to take a new one just for this competition.

- Winner hosts the next contest.

Christmas tree at my parents from many many years ago (They redid the floor like 10 years ago for a hardwood one)

Aww. I bet all those ornaments were super-breakable, too! Looks like the ones in my early photos.

@Lagie most were indeed super breakable (lost most of them some year later when the tree fell down) but some aren't and are still alive... well in one piece

This variety of conifer is known as the Artificialis prelux or the "Common Pre-Lit." Despite the use of "common" in its name, these trees are rarely spotted outside the month of December, when they put on elaborate displays, assumed to be a sort of mating ritual.
