Now that it's been a little while since Shards were introduced, are we able to tell exactly what "more" is, when it comes to earning Shards?

Speculation, no confirmation from staff as to any specifics (though I'm not entirely sure why they would need to be hidden. aren't we past "surprises" at this point?). 🤔

I don't think it even qualifies as speculation. We *know* that certain things give a certain number of shards, based on seeing it happen over and over. I don't see any reason why that's not as good as staff confirmation.

This, really. But we did work it out very thoroughly among ourselves, and checked, was what I meant.

The list of qualifying activities to earn Shards that has been produced in that thread is not exhaustive. I am looking for an exhaustive list of all actions that currently provide Shards now that some time has passed since the introduction of the Market (so that perhaps the discussion of adding more qualifying activities in the future can happen, like naming dragons among other things).

I'm pretty sure that all the actions known to give shards ARE listed.  What more do you want?  And why do you need more? unless the cap is raised there would really be no point.

Not "more" currency over all, just different ways of obtaining it.

If you wonder if something that’s not listed give shards, try it and see!

 

If something in there doesn’t give shards that you think should, make a topic suggesting it should.

There's no official source. Like most things in the game, the intention is to discover as you go.  But for those who want more specific information, it can be found in the thread already linked to. Further discussion can be moved there, unless there is anything else you'd like clarified.

This... I mean, I don't think it even IS just speculation anymore IF it is supported with the evidence of multiple people having tested it out multiple times and getting a similar result.

I mean, isn't that the whole idea of the scientific method?

 

I am with HeatherMarie on this one... I think that list is probably good enough that we don't NEED TJ to give us an exhaustive OFFICIAL list.

AND as someone else said, if you find something not included well, that can be added to it!
