So how many "treats" are references?

I see a lot of references in the treats this year!

First, we have what is clearly a weeping angel, the flickering statue.

The bat-thing with the red wings, that's a Batarang from one of the later Batman series, right? 

The frilled blue eel in a pot is a Wiggler, a small, catchable creature in the video game Monster Hunter World. 

The creature that looks like a fat brown cat with a pumpkin is, I think, a Pumpkaboo Pokemon that's climbed out of its pumpkin.

And the oil-esque blob with the face is a Tarr from the video game Slime Rancher. 

 

What else do people recognize?

Number two and three are Final Fantasy references a tonberry and chocobo respectively. 

 

The wooly hat is a reference to JAyne in 'Firefly' a Joss Whedon TV show that got cancelled after 1 season

 

Not sure about the rest although some tickle me as something familiar...

The second one in the 7th line right under the plague doctor is a Mismagius (Pokémon).

And that's basically everything else I recognize that hasn't been mentioned before^^

The green crystal dragon is from Spyro! The little two tailed black cat is a Nekomata a Japanese yokai, though I don't know if it has a deeper meaning than that. I think the wizardy looking rabbit is supposed to be a  Black Mage, maybe.

 

I swear I've seen that compass in something before but I can't think what. And that crystal ball with a dude smoking in it, that has to be a reference to something, but again I can't think what.

The rabbit with the hat is a Mysidian Rabbit, if I'm remembering my FF5 correctly, and in the main announcement thread someone mentioned the anchor necklace being a reference. There's also a Joltik-spider and a chocobo in a pumpkin.

I could be mistaken, but I see what appears to be a purple legendary engram from the Destiny/Destiny 2 franchise.

The blob thing with a lot of limbs coming out of it is from the game Inside. I also think that the guy in the crystal ball something is also from a game I've seen a let's play of. I could be completely wrong on this too, but maybe it's from Darkside Detective? I was going to say The last door but the more I look at it, the less I'm convinced about that. The spider might be Lucas the spider. The plague doctor might be SCP-049 from SCP Containment Breach. The mummy might be from the Crash remaster maybe?

The three pokemon ones are Mismagius, Joltik and Pumpkaboo, though I'm not entirely sure if the middle one's a reference or if they just share common colour schemes.

 

I think that was a Chocobo in a pumpkin too.

Honestly I don't think the fluffy spider is a Joltik, it's completely the wrong colour, has the wrong number of legs and has a a distinct body and abdomen; a Joltik reference would be a lot more obvious I think. I agree with Wolf's Bane, it does look a lot like Lucas the Spider (I'd never seen that vid before) or it could just be a cute Jumping Spider since they seem to be popular in general at the moment.

I haven't either. I only know of it thanks to a few times it was mentioned on the Philip DeFranco Show I just started watching recently. I actually had to look up since I couldn't remember the name of it. After I did I was like "Yeah that looks a lot like Lucas to me."

It has Joltik's face, straight up. i'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a more subtle Joltik ref.

Oh wow, I didn't even realize that guy was a Joltik! I thought the face looked familiar. I did get confirmation on the anchor necklace being Jaina's from WoW:BfA, though.

I believe the little hooded thing with the pumpkin is a tonberry from Final Fantasy.

The jar of eyeballs whipping around to look at you is reminiscent of the Gravity Falls opening, although it's also just spooky and may just be there for the Halloween aesthetic.

The red and orange hat is from Firefly.

The low-rez looking green dragon is from the original Spyro games.

(Massive guess) but I think the compass is supposed to be from the Golden Compass?

The bunny from Adrak may also be a Rabbit Medium from FFXIV. It's a sort of visual queue to let your party know that you've done goof'd when you're playing Ninja 🙃Probably my favorite thing about the class though, haha- I'm a terrible ninja, so he appears on my head rather frequently xD
