Posted October 27, 2018 I have a ps4 and I was wondering what games to get, I love open world games and RPGs and maybe MMOs but I prefer games no higher than M. I was wondering if anyone knows of some good games that fit that description. Thanks! Share this post Link to post
Posted November 12, 2018 Well you could always go with the classic Skyrim! There's also Fallout 4 or Grand Theft Auto 5. Those are all extremely open world. The newest Assassin's Creed is rather open world too (Assassin's Creed: Odyssey), and I'd consider Horizon: Zero Dawn in that category as well (it's not /as/ open world or as big of a map, but it certainly feels like it). I'm a big fan of Destiny which is an MMO and open world in space. It's been one of my favorite games for a long time. Share this post Link to post
Posted November 19, 2018 Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. Combat is amazing, community 9/10, has online features but aren't necessary to play the game, great character creation. Story isn't the best, but the game shines in so many other aspects you won't even care. Share this post Link to post
Posted November 19, 2018 Nier: Automata might be a good one. It's not open world, but has a decently-sized area to explore and has a strong story (and changing gameplay). Hollow Knight is a metroidvania, so not 'open world' but you can explore a lot of different areas. Owlboy I'd still recommend, even though it's the smallest in terms of space, because it has a very strong story and you can keep finding more of it optionally through exploration and doing sometimes hidden puzzles. Posted December 27, 2018 Horizon: Zero Dawn, most definitely. If you love lore, story, and open-world environments, you will get a huge kick out of this game. Hands-down one of the best game's I've ever played. Story absolutely blew me away and made me want to go find all the little hidden lorebites. No extreme blood or such, either. Everyone seems to love RDR2 and God of War, but I've yet to play them. As for shameless self-promotes of my faves, the new Spyro is good. (If you like 3d platformer RPGs) and Monster Hunter is fun to sink hours into, but is a bit of a grind and probably not the experience you're looking for in an Open-World. (But still qualifies as an RPG) Share this post Link to post
Posted January 22, 2019 Subnautica is an amazing open world survival game, especially if you're not too skittish when it comes to all things deep sea. I am, but I've still had a ton of fun with the game even with the occasional heart attacks. I'd also second Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen - while the story was a bit clunky I remember really liking other aspects of the game like combat and exploration. I would also recommend Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, an action RPG with stunning artwork and a really interesting story. If you're open to suggestions from different genres: Okami HD is a great version of the classic action-adventure game and the new Spyro trilogy is indeed quite awesome. Share this post Link to post
