Misreading egg descriptions

Recommended Posts

I don't know if this happens to anyone else, but there are a couple egg descriptions I *constantly* misread when hunting the biomes. I figured if it's not just me, maybe it would be fun to have a thread for funny/interesting/embarrassing misreads.

My biggest one is Bright-Breasted Wyverns, who's description reads 'This egg is covered in speckles' but I always always *always* see 'speckles' as 'sprinkles'. I don't know why, my mind just automatically changes it to sprinkles. And then I get distracted for a few seconds thinking about a sprinkle egg.

(Note, this isn't for times where you mistake a description for a different breed, there are topics like that already, this is more actually misreading what the description says.)

That's funny - I often misread the BBW description, too, but I always mix it up with the description for Ices!  Out of the corner of my eye, a short description with "speckles" looks like a short description with "icicles", despite knowing that "icicles" doesn't come at the end of the Ice description.

An egg with sprinkles sounds like some kind of Sweetling hybrid!  Now I kind of want a sprinkle egg to be part of the next Christmas or Valentine release...

"This delicately patented egg is sitting in the sunshine."

It's a bit of a relieve that I'm not the only one. 😂

"Mama courses throughout this glassy egg."     Now I don't feel so bad.

I tend to misread "This egg seems to be floating on a puddle." as "This egg seems to be floating on a poodle." XD

I remember when the scimitar-wings first came out, I kept reading them as "this egg seems mostly harmless."

...Just like the Earth? >.>
