This time, the theme is: Botanical

 

As fall creeps up on us and we anticipate the changing colors of the leaves, let's appreciate the beauty of plant life in any season!

Rules

- One entry per person.

- Picture has to be made by yourself and can't be just a reproduction of someone's work. If someone else's work is in the picture, there needs to be something extra.

- No manipulation besides basic photo adjustments (contrast, exposure, cropping, color balance, lighting, etc.).

- No text or framing in the photo. A signature/watermark is just fine, but it's preferable if you don't have "O Hai Eye Hav3 T3XT" (or something similar) present in the photo.

- When voting, please don't select your own image. This will ensure fairness.

- You are free to submit an old photo; you don't need to take a new one just for this competition.

- Winner hosts the next contest.

I took this photo out of botanical interest, actually. This bush was growing large and strong and all green all summer long, 2 years ago, and only by the end of October it started growing buds! I've never seen this flower, so I took this photo to ask what it may be:

Baby cactus. I might change my entry in few days, or not.

This was one of the better images I've taken. The flowers in my home were drying out, but they were still pretty interesting despite that.

@Ruby Eyes I don't know if you have identified your flower yet or not, but if not, it's some type of cosmos! I have them growing in my garden every year, they grow very tall and bloom late in the summer/fall. Very pretty!

Yellow on yellow! I don't know what these are, but there was a big bush of them near where I used to live.
