Posted October 19, 2018 For the flash, you count letters using the numbers in the CB column Share this post Link to post
Posted October 19, 2018 NHBED (there's no 11th letter) IM Ok, lets count spaces? NTBH SI … nope, still gibberish Maybe they all count from the 3rd gen? HSTHHSTI … it's a snake saying "history"! Gotta give me more Tabs, even if it's over I need to know! (Unless it really is a snake saying history, in which case -- awesome) Share this post Link to post

Posted October 19, 2018 Okay correction: you identify the breed described and then count the letters in the term. Share this post Link to post
Posted October 19, 2018 Well, time's up. This is the solution: This page is quite helpful for identifying eggs: http://dragcave.wikia.com/wiki/Which_egg_is_which%3F Congrats to @Dirtytabs for being the only player who got this! I didn't think this little riddle would be *that* tough! Also, we have a winner! 1st place: @Rememberdrgns with 39 of 35 required points! 2nd place: @ArgentiAertheri with 42 of 42 required points! Congratulations! Will you do a spoooooky Bingo, Rememberdrgns? Share this post Link to post
Posted October 19, 2018 (edited) Yay, me! (I could've sworn the fella at the bottom used to be called "in mysterious patterns 1 3" - red herring there huh?) Congrats to Rememberdrgns and ArgentiAertheri for the wins! I hope we'll have a bingo game from you. Edited October 19, 2018 by Dirtytabs Share this post Link to post
Posted October 19, 2018 I’m not against hosting, but if ArgentiAetheri would like to host, feel free. Share this post Link to post
Posted October 19, 2018 Also, you two may request an egg to be bred from my dragons. Share this post Link to post
Posted October 19, 2018 Uhh… @Rememberdrgns you should maybe do it? Unless you want me to? Share this post Link to post
Posted October 19, 2018 Congrats to the winners! Don't fall all over each other scrambling for the chance to host! Share this post Link to post
Posted October 20, 2018 (edited) Okay, I’ll host. Hope it’ll be fun too. May I have the codes for white text and font size? EDIT: Edited October 20, 2018 by Rememberdrgns Share this post Link to post

Works for white colour just as it does for size. You may need to make sure your browser window is wide enough to display all buttons. Share this post Link to post
Posted October 21, 2018 (edited) Thanks for playing, all! May I ask for some feedback though? Just in case I ever get to host another one 1. Did you enjoy the grids? 1a. Which one did you like best, if any? 1b. What could I do better (besides not missing several suitable words myself) 2. What was the difficult part about that Flash riddle? Posted October 21, 2018 1. I loved the grids! I buy books of those sorts of puzzles occasionally, so that was right up my alley. 1a. Hard to say. I felt less rushed about T3/T4, like I wasn't worried about solving them before they expired, but I liked the challenge of T2. 1b. I think this goes for a lot of these kinds of bingos (I know other hosts have had problems as well), but knowing what source you're pulling from is helpful. The Wiki is the easiest to use but unreliable (I never assume hosts are using this), the Encyclopedia is hard to use but official, and the other DC resources, like the Help page with the list of actions, aren't always accurate either. Obviously that's more of a problem with DC itself but I think it can make certain bingos and puzzles harder than they were intended to be, and of course it makes it harder for you when you're making them. I'm not sure exactly what the fix for this is, though. I think if you said, "And the list of words to use is right here," it might be too easy? The only concrete thing I can suggest is that I think T2 should have actually been T4, so that the hardest puzzle was last. That way players get an idea of how these puzzles work before tackling the big one. I know we can skip but it just makes more sense to me that way. 2. I had no idea what to do with those numbers. It requires some more thinking than simply tracing, so I like that. 1a. The Actions one, albeit a bit frustrating. 1b. Nothing then, lol. 2. Agree with GhostMouse, clueless with the numbers. Though it’s a nice way to encode. Share this post Link to post

I didn't even try so I don't know how hard or easy they were. I will say that it is nice to see some variety, even though these didn't really appeal to me. 2. I just seriously didn't even know how to approach it. It was very clever, but I just couldn't seem to get my mind wrapped around it beyond seeing that there were 4 different dragon breeds involved that had nothing to do with the breeds in the lineage. I had no idea what the numbers meant. I am just not good at that sort of puzzle-solving. Share this post Link to post

I don't think I know enough about the dragon's yet to be able to do these. Kim/Meadbhb Share this post Link to post
