There is a subtlety to these guys I find really intriguing. I'd love to see some vibrant blues and purples paired with them - blue lunar heralds, script, purple florets, and maybe Omen

I really like these with omens and black tea dragons! Omens might be my preferred pairing...

Omens and Undines look AMAZING! Especially excited about the Omen pairing, since those guys are hard to pair imo. How about blue Nebulas? They're quite gray, not actually black, so it makes pairing them a bit harder. So maybe Storms too?

I love the appearance of this dragon, especially the rainbow subtleties to the black coloring. I really feel like they'd match up well with a lot of Halloween breeds in particular. Here's some other pairings I thought might look good with them:

Love the Omen and Gold pairings! I'm leaning toward a male Black Truffle x female Trihorn checker, but I'm still not totally sold on any of the pairings with similar coloring except the Omen. Definitely curious to see more pairings with a sharp color contrast.

 

EDIT: Oh my, I really like male Black Truffle x female Floret, too

ETA: the lovely female hellfires! This is the winner for me!

 

Because I am super lazy... I present to you the impossible lineages! I quite like how they look with caligenes. Female hellfires take the cake, though! Even though they will unfortunately not be blowing fire down on the truffles like they are in my version, because they will be at the bottom and the truffles at top. I think I might go ahead and do that one up properly. Went ahead and made it, because it is lovely.
