Sure you can add it :)

I can do that when I get home, but if you’re curious, the chart on the first page of the spreadsheet is interactive and can show whichever breed you wanted. You can also download it from there! 😬

Edit: Here it is:

You've been working so hard on this spreadsheet! It's really great! Now if only we could pick the colors.

And it's so staggering to see that even compared to Magmas and Aeons, Staterae have been continously increasing. For all other dragons, they have slowly dropped, risen and then stabilized, or remained relatively constant.

Not the Staterae, they have been practically increasing linearly. What the heck?!

You know... I didn't actually thinks Stateraes would beat the Magamas as most expensive dragon ever, but...t's getting more and more likely...

And it's not stopping....

When will it END?

WHEN @TJ09??!!!

*screams into the internet void*

Edit: Someone earlier had mentioned it, but now I actually kinda wish there was a Dragon Cave Stock Market.

I would have bought into the Straterae if I could. Not that I have money for that now...

@Shokomon and I didn't think anything would beat the price of Golds.

Or Chicken.

Chicken is really "cheap" now compared to their price many months ago.

The case of the Magmas is very interesting, I'm not a very good hunter but I caught enough Magmas in the past months, I consider myself lucky >.<

Daaaang, that change in Imperial Fleshcrowns! I know they 'migrate' or whatever and are less abundant at certain times, but wow that's a huge price leap.

It might be a good time to pick up something you’ve been eyeballing. The price might up by 100 or 200 again with the monthly NR, so I don’t expect these prices to stay permanent. It seems like the prices (Not you, Stats) are pretty normalized and bounce up 100 for the NR, then back down again.

I think we can all relate to this crappy meme I Photoshopped up.

This is meant to be silly and not intended to be hateful. People who wanted these dragons definitely won, but people who were looking for Stateraes definitely lost. Pretty much all of these dragons have had super predictable pricing, spiking with NRs, then dropping again a few weeks later when the ratios even out.

Edit:

- Long term market prices

image.thumb.png.30039184d8d1de6ca25fe6eed0b6fc73.png

Just to compare some of the "dragons" of note I usually like to look at.

  • Magmas have a serious competitor in the Staterae, and it's scaring me.
  • Nexus and Silvers are the same price and I don't understand. (Technically Nexuses are higher at 1800 shards to 1600 shards for Silvers...Why???)
  • Coppers are largely stable, which I appreciate.
  • Aeons have slowly trended up, but due their utility, and affect on certain breeds, understandable.
  • Chicken prices are trending down and that makes me happy.

I want some kind of symbol for shards that I can use... I can't copy the one on the actual website. It'd be nice to use something like a Dollar Sign ,"$," for them.

Is this the first time the newer-Xenos have changed prices? Interesting, maybe they are finally starting to even out population-wise.

As far as the data points I have, yes seems like it's the first time!

  • It's funny to think that when this concept was be discussed way back that every one was worried about Golds and destroying the ratios. Then, when the Market came out, we were worried about skyrocketing Gold Prices... In reality, Gold and Silver prices are ridiculously cheap for their rarity.
  • And, who would imagine something like the Staterate with their particularly linear increasing price.
  • Speaking, Staterae are almost the same price as the reigning champion of high prices, Magma dragons which have dropped a good bit from the last time I did this, which was way back in May. Wow... Oops...
  • Nexuses and Silvers are the same prices, and I still don't understand...
  • I can buy any dino I  want know... Huh.
  • Also, since the Imperial Fleshcrownes have migrated for the year,  prices have risen up to 1000 shards an egg again.
  • Gilded Bloodscales used to be at 1000, but they have finally dropped below that, so they will be off the list, unless the price jumps up again.

On a different note, Daylight Saving has ended in the US, which means both Eastern Time and Dragon Cave time are pushed back an hour. Lunar Hearlds eggs changes occur at 7:00 PM EST/DC now.

I don't think any other breed is affected by daylight savings.

It's definitely interesting to have been around for the whole 'Traders Canyon' thread, and all the concerns during that and when the Market was first introduced, and now comparing the actual reality of the Market. I'm still just astounded that there are *any* dragons more expensive than Golds, they used to be the absolute highest-tier rare (though admittedly even when the Market was first introduced they weren't as scarce as they once were).

I have yet to even miss a single cb Gold and have easily caught a good few Magmas. And regarding trades I sometimes get offered Magmas for relatively easy to obtain things like a Xeno or some cb hatchies. They do not nearly feel as rare as they are priced.
I do feel that Silver and Gold prices are reasonable though. It's not like you can buy one every other week and watching trade requests and offers it does not feel like they went down in value.

Wonder if the Staterate will ever go back down by a considerable amount or just go upward. Do we know if there is a cap for market prices? Or could an egg theoretically skyrocket to 10000 shards or whatever crazy number?

I think the Magma price will always be a strange mystery, I don't think anyone has come up with a good explanation why they are *so* expensive (especially compared to 'true rares' like Golds and given the fact the other two Trios aren't anywhere near as high). I'm still holding hope that Stats will eventually even out, though they've been around a good handful of months (wait it's been over a year???) now they are still relatively recent and probably still doing the whole 'ratio balancing' thing.

Cap for Market prices, that's a good question. How high is it possible to actually go? Originally TJ said this:

Quote
  • I followed the rough goal from the thread of ~6 months to earn rares, but due to prices fluctuating, it's not exact.

but that seems to be out the window at this point. Golds are still roughly in that timeframe, but others are so far past it that I don't think that can really be used as an indicator anymore.
