Posted May 23, 2018 I can't be the only one who keeps posting bug reports in the suggestion board because posting them in help is not intuitive. I always thought the Help board is for, you know, "I need help", not "I think this is wrong and I'd like to see it fixed". This might be a non-native thing... I suggest adding a Bug Report section to the Help board (like, actually call it something with Report) OR Add that notification that TJ put on the three new Suggestion threads to the entire Suggestion board. Again, this might be a non-native thing or just a me-thing (XD) but I always thought giving feedback included things that don't work. Also, sometimes you're not sure if something actually doesn't work (help) or is just not implemented (suggest). I guess I just never experienced a forum before where the simple 'help how does my egg work' get mixed in with 'bugs'. I recall them always being seperate. If you're fine with it, keep it this way. For things like this, you can always post a quick question in the Tiny Little Questions thread to clarify whether something has always been a certain way or not and then choose where you post a thread from there - either a thread in help flagging an error, or a thread in suggestions with a new idea for implementation. Personally, I think if we were to add a bug report section, many people still wouldn't be quite sure where to post their threads. I've seen a lot of posts in help over the years where people complain about a 'bug' when in actual fact they just haven't been using the site correctly or they have made a mistake. You said yourself that you are sometimes confused about whether something doesn't work or hasn't been implemented and, equally, I think a lot of people get confused about whether something is an actual bug or not, so I think a bugs section would potentially just add unnecessary confusion for no real benefit. And I've seen loads ion Site Discussion, and even in GD. Also - if you start wit TLQ, quite often someone can instantly tell you that xyz isn't actually a bug, and also point you to an existing thread if it is. Share this post Link to post
