How do I actually change the default text editor?

The built-in one is awful and I hate it. WYSIWYG is an ancient product of a bygone era, and I would much rather have control of my own formatting.

You can't. And it isn't down to TJ; there's nothing he can do. Invision did this in their upgrade.

There's no way to change my preferences to just use no text editor? Some "upgrade".

You're not alone in feeling this way. About the only thing you can do is tell Invision what you think of their software - or as I call them, Outofvision.
