Admittedly I’m still confused about this rule since technically the 2nd gen is bred by mink and there’s the whole breed two generations thing if gifted an egg...

Actually, they're there, they're just in Chinese (in Chinese titles are suffixes). 5 is a prince, and the rest are consorts and concubines.I'm doing the same thing with mine - instead of Princess Biyu, I have Biyu Junzhu.

I don't plan to do that, I plan to have two lines going (one with red females and green males, one with red females and blue males). However, I'd be glad to try and get you a green brother of his.

As long as you're the one who bred the 3rd generation (or any of the subsequent milestone generations) ie the egg is laid on your scroll, it doesn't matter who bred the generations before you. You can claim favor for all 3rd gens you breed! 

 

I'm not sure what you're referring to with regards to this: "whole breed two generations thing if gifted an egg". But since we're on the topic of gifting, let's say Minky bred a 3rd Gen egg and gifted it to Foxy. In this case, the points for a 3rd gen lineage would go to Minky because the egg was laid on her scroll. Foxy will be able to carry on the line from there, and when he breeds a 5th gen egg for himself, he can begin to claim points for that lineage.

I have been very unsuccessful in CB gemshard hunting, though I’ve managed to snag a few other rare eggs that I’ve been loking for lol I now officially have 3 blue CB gemshards, 1 green, and 1 red; now to just get my Sacred Line egg and I can start working on actually breeding them......
