Posted September 7, 2017 (edited) And so it's said, So it's told; If you walk 5 hours too far into the forest, you'll see things you're not meant to see. Things like; 1. A rusted metal square, perched atop a pile of bones. (Human, perhaps.) On the square is scratched in frantic scrawl; 'HERE . IS . YOUR . GOD' You don't know what it means. You don't stay long enough to find out. 2. A splintered and dead tree. it's hollowed out. Inside you see more bones. 3. A blade that doesn't appear to be shaped for human hands. It whispers to you. It calls you. It leads you back to the tree. 4. A brick wall. The only sign of life inside the forests depths. On it, a giant eye is painted in red and gold. The eye blinks at you. You're not scared anymore. You blink back. 5. A crumpled piece of paper. Theres nothing written on it, You turn it over in your hands. Your hands have blood on them now. A group of travelers find themselves lost in an endless and silent forest. They have to get out. Something's coming. Quote This role-play is largely up to user interpretation. Here's a base idea; ~5-9 Strangers lose themselves in a mystical forest. ~They see strange and ominous things and eventually come to the conclusion something evil is coming. ~They must escape. Rules and other stuff to know; + Humanoid characters only, meaning just plain old people. (If you'd like, they can have minor magic abilities or slight cosmetic abnormalities.) + Your humanoid character can have a companion! Wether this companion is a regular animal, or a fantastical beast - go wild! Make a two-headed lizard that speaks french if thats what your heart desires! + Max 2 characters per person. (Companion creatures count as a character!) + Don't kill off others characters/creatures without their permission. + I will play as both a narrator and a character, and state certain events that occur in the forest (Eg; Somewhere in the forest, a bird drops from the sky. There's something strange about the bird. It's feathers burn to touch.) The player/s may then decide to have their characters stumble across the bird. I'll write these events in All bold and italics, as well as put them into a quote. + Please don't make your characters super over-powered! Be that in physical or mental skill. Be realistic; every human has weaknesses and strengths! + Once again, be realistic. Human characters may not have special magical powers or skills; companion creatures may have powers if you'd like. Posted September 7, 2017 (edited) Hello! I'm Mage and I'm here to approve your roleplay! It's a pretty cool concept and I like it. It's meant to be mysterious, so you don't need to put more into setting. A few questions though: When you mean humanoid, do you allow anything humanshape like anthros or lizard people? Or only humans/elves/animal-ear people/etc.? Do they all come from the same world, or did they somehow all get lost in this forest? Also caught a couple typos and grammar errors for you: 13 hours ago, Frostt said: 2. A splintered and dead tree. its hollowed out.
