Posted May 25, 2017 Welcome to the Photography Contest! Here you submit photos you've taken and users vote on which photo they like the best. Deadline: June 3rd This time the theme is: Aquatic Creatures. Any picture of an aquatic creature works and can be submitted! Rules - One entry per person - Picture has to be made by yourself and can't be just a reproduction of someone's work. If someone else's work is in the picture, there needs to be something extra. - No manipulation besides basic photo adjustments (contrast, exposure, cropping, color balance, lighting, etc.) - No text or framing in the photo. A signature/watermark is just fine, but it's preferable if you don't have "O Hai Eye Hav3 T3XT" (or something similar) present in the photo. - When voting, please don't select your own image. This will ensure fairness. - You are free to submit an old photo; you don't need to take a new one just for this competition. - Winner hosts the next contest. Posted May 25, 2017 That's a fantastic theme! I'll go digging through my photos this weekend. I have plenty of pictures from all the aquariums I've visited. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 28, 2017 Cute theme! I'm pretty sure the only marine life pics I have were actually taken by my dad (with his underwater camera), so I think I'm out again this round. I can't wait to see the submissions, though! Dejaentndu's alone is already really lovely to look at. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 28, 2017 Here's my Entry Taken from the aquarium in Boston last year. It's so much smaller than I remember Share this post Link to post
Posted May 29, 2017 (edited) My entry. c: I had to drastically resize it, so hopefully the quality hasn't suffered too much. :0 Edited May 29, 2017 by irrelevantindigo Share this post Link to post
Posted May 29, 2017 I have one from the National Zoo a couple of weeks ago -- if I can figure out how to get it from my camera to my computer. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 30, 2017 I have one from the National Zoo a couple of weeks ago -- if I can figure out how to get it from my camera to my computer. If your camera has an SD card in it, most computers have a slot you can plug the card right into the computer. the SD card will then act like a jump drive and you can move photos as you want to. Hope that helps. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 30, 2017 Thanks water_angel, but I have an old laptop that has no such thing. I have a cable that came with my camera, but I think I have to download software and I haven't had time to play with it. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 30, 2017 Try the cable first. My old laptop surprised by automagically installing the driver needed for my even older camera when I plugged it in the first time. Share this post Link to post
Posted June 2, 2017 So many lovely entries! I can't believe that this theme would be such an appropriate theme. Share this post Link to post
