Posted May 23, 2017 I'm beginning to wish I hadn't incubated mine (I have all but Alpine). The oldest is at 3 days, 16 hours, and has only one small crack. I waited, then added them to one fansite, but when they didn't show any cracks at under 4 days, I added them to a second. None have been sick, but I'm kind of worried I may lose the lot. They all have over 2,600 view and over 350 UVs. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 24, 2017 Did you use the Ward BSA? I'm wondering if that means a sick egg protected by Ward can die as soon as it hatches because the BSA doesn't protect hatchlings. That might be a dangerous side effect of this BSA since we might get a false sense of security. Edit: ... which would mean we should absolutely not let them hatch while sick. I asked someone in the main thread about this when they posted that their hatchies had died. If I am remembering correctly, they did use ward and the dragons died as soon they hatched because they had been sick as eggs. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 24, 2017 (edited) Unfortunately I didn't keep up with the exact stats, but they sure did take their time. As for sickness, three have gotten sick, two forests and one of the jungles got sick. The forests quickly got well and hatched safely. The jungle is still fogged until it gets better, which means it definitely won't hatch until I wake up tomorrow. Edited May 24, 2017 by Nectaris Share this post Link to post
Posted May 24, 2017 Yesterday's batch of hatchies hatched with 5-6k views and 700 unique views (incubated). They were sick for 15 hours or so, but they're finally doing better. These had about 10 clicks. After that, I put my eggs in another fansite, hoping getting them more views instead of having to ER them and avoid sickness. But I woke up to them sick today. They were about hatching age if incubated, so I incubated them. They hatched with 4k views and 800 unique views. It hasn't been quite 10 hours yet, but two of them are still sick. The one with the least views (3.5k) and least unique views (790) is already better, though. =o These had about five clicks. It will be interesting finding a better middle ground for these guys. I tired to overcorrect too much and got one of my younger eggs sick earlier. Luckily it's doing better. =p Share this post Link to post

Posted May 24, 2017 I think I'm going to treat these like Prizes. That is, no incubating/ER until they have the big hole from "normal" view collecting. I should probably stop expecting everything to hatch after exactly 48 hours... I usually incubate everything as soon as it is under 6d 0h, then they get enough views in the next 24 hours to be put in an ER and hatch at 4d 0h. But these eggs went down to ER time with only a small crack (at least that's what mine did), and then ER-ing them made them sick because they just. did. not. want. to. hatch. (I get that the world is scary, but you still can't stay in your egg forever! ) Share this post Link to post

Hmmm. Maybe I ought to test that... Share this post Link to post
Posted May 24, 2017 (edited) After reading this thread, I was extra-careful and managed to avoid sickness so far . Last night, 7 of my new eggs were ready to hatch time-wise, but they were at at cracking stage 2 mostly, and none above that. I fogged them at 3d23h or 3d22h. At that point, they were in three hatcheries, but had spent most of their time only on EATW. When I woke up and unfogged them, they all had more cracks than last night. Two hatchies hatched instantly, before I could even put them on a click site again: Biome: Coast Egg time left: 3d11h Incubated: yes Sickness: no Overall views: 2,961 Unique views: 615 Clicks: 2 Biome: Alpine Egg time left: 3d11h Incubated: yes Sickness: no Overall views: 3,895 Unique views: 576 Clicks: 2 The views might haven been a little below that number, since I think they gathered some views in the 15 minutes between hatching and my posting here. I fogged them once more now. Edited May 24, 2017 by Fly-by-Night Share this post Link to post
Posted May 24, 2017 Yeah, their hatching behaviour seems very Prize-like, although I don't think even Prizes are quite this precious as new hatchies. Hmmm. Maybe I ought to test that... In my opinion, yeah, these guys seem more sensitive. I rarely, if ever, have sick prizes, even if incubating, as long as I get them steady views before they're young enough to incubate. Every single one of these guys I've hatched have gotten sick, and I didn't change my methodology. =o More people in fansites might have changed things a bit, but considering how many views they've needed... These guys already have more views than some of my prizes (though granted, I've been gifted some, so those might not have been incubated or hatched right at 4d, and I do have plenty of prizes with more views/unique views as well). Posted May 25, 2017 it had only 535 uvs! Lowest I've seen. That is fairly low, but the majority of mine hatched when they had between 500 and 600 UVs. Of the six eggs I haven't reported yet, the only one that climbed above 600 (to 645) didn't have a single click. The six little fellas were all roughly at the 3-day-mark (give or take an hour or two; I forgot to write it down), all incubated, none sick. Posted May 25, 2017 Mine gendered with an average of about 5900 views, 1000 UVs, 10 clicks. I wonder if that's permanent or something TJ tweaked just for the release so people wouldn't lose too many eggs due to higher traffic on hatcheries? Share this post Link to post

Posted May 25, 2017 I got impatient and incubated one even though it didn't have a hole yet (just stage 2 or 3 crack). Stats before incubate: 4d 15h, ~2100 OV, ~620 UV, 0 Clicks It was in Silvi's, EATW, AOND, and Valley Sherwood. I refreshed every few minutes to be sure it wasn't sick. It hatched one hour later with ~3700 OV, 734 UV, 1 Click. It did not get sick, but this is no fun - I guess I won't incubate the other ones. "Incuhatchable" is really not the right word for them... it's more like incu-OMG-why-don't-you-hatch-able. My oldest hatchie is at 4d 14h, 5919 OV, 956 UV, 2 Clicks, and still ungendered. Posted May 26, 2017 I didn't write down stats on the last two I hatched ... Basically, I ERed one at 3d 23, it got sick at 3d 20h, hatched at 3d 19h, stayed sick in its fog for over 7 hours (then I went to sleep). At the same time, I ERed one at 3d 19h, and it hatched safely at 3d 17h. Never got sick. I'll just treat them like Prizes and Avatars ... Share this post Link to post
