Messiest lineages?

Recommended Posts

Yes, I hoard messy lineaged dragons and here's why!:D

For the most part, we all avoid messy and inbred lineages like the plague. And it makes plenty of sense; you can't really do anything with them,

and looking over their lineages can quite frankly be a little painful. It calls to mind the question of who the heck breeds these guys and why? How does

it even get that bad?

For curiosity's sake I dug through my scroll and dug up some of my worst lineages (Take a look). I realized that a lot of them can be fairly interesting,

but mostly my overly emotional self can't bear to think of these little guys being rejected just because of their lineage.

If there's anyone else out there like me who collects these guys just for the fun of it, or maybe just runs across a terrifying line in the AP, here's a place to

share the worst(/best) of them, as well as figure out exactly who breeds these things, and maybe even speculate why.

From what I can see, this little guy is the worst I have yet to come across (all 30 alarming generations, my PC wont't even let me view them all).

Who can top that one?

DC won't let you view them all ;) The site will only show 12 generations at once. To look at older generation, click the right-most dragons and check *their* lineage.

This guys has only 22 documented generations: https://dragcave.net/lineage/n/Amagad Dusk Thuwed Dorkface

And this one actually has fewer dragons in it than you might think at first glance: https://dragcave.net/lineage/n/His Own Cousin

Documented generations, because caveborn dragons just didn't have any pesky humans to write down which dragons had laid their egg there.

I recently started a group for my messies, so far it only has my most recent holidays but I'm (slooowly) going through all my dragons to find ones to add. Beautiful Messies!

A while ago, when I played DC in 2010-11, I found out about nice looking even gen and staircase lineages, really hated my old dragons with messy lineages and released some of them. I'm so sorry about it now.

I collected large lineages when I first started playing.  I also bred (and still continue to breed) some 'beautiful lineages'.  I just grab the next dragon on the breeding list and press and play.  It's also why I don't breed too much nowadays.  My favorite, by far, has to be https://dragcave.net/lineage/tkCUP, though a close second might be https://dragcave.net/lineage/P0tOZ

Theres aso this https://dragcave.net/lineage/y9jhW, which I zombified on my first Halloween.  Her mother/grandmother was zombified afterwards :)

I like him:

https://dragcave.net/lineage/oEKJj - 76 dragons appear more than once.

I have a worse one

https://dragcave.net/lineage/73DVe - with 1107 dragons appearing more than once, and some appearing 40 times ! (He used to break AOND's inbred checker but it works better now !)

but as I deadlined it, it's hard to see. ext used to use him as an example of the most complicatedly inbred dragon on DC. Not sure if that's still true.

One of my dragons has two offspring.  (I recently bred another; maybe it's fogged?)  One is a frozen hatchling, while the other is the progenitor of a horrible mess.  I'm actually mystified by the fact that someone repeatedly bred dragons, paying no attention to lore-based "love" attachments (several of the ones on here are non-monogamous and incestuous), nor aesthetic concerns.  Why were they even breeding the dragons?

Here's a (modified) screenshot, to show what I mean.  Yeah, I didn't include the far-left one in my original screenshot; image editing to the rescue!  Blue ones are mine, the far-left one belongs to someone other than the main offender, and all the others belong to said main offender.
