Its not like its a new or even altered sprite - if you save the image or look on certain browsers they're completely normal. Its just a coding trick. You can see it if you right click an upsidedown sprite and click "Inspect element" and compare it to a normal dragon. "transform: scaleY(-1);" is all it is. I think the real trick is going to be just that - they're not really upside down. I mean yeah, I'd love if they stayed upside down when they grow but it seems incredibly unlikely. And deleting them would just make people angrier. Removing the bit of code is the most sensible solution. Though I do agree its still messed up people missed out on getting a Mint egg period. That's not cool at all. Absolutely everyone should have gotten an egg, whether it was right side up or upside down. Share this post Link to post

If that's a bit of comfort: There's always the chance you'll get something special next time, should the April Mints actually turn out to stay upside down. I've been playing this game for almost 10 years. I never got a CB Prize, my CB Frills and Bright Pinks became worthless after the breeds returned to the cave and I didn't manage to catch a CB Holly or CB Val'09, though I was already there when they were released (my internet just wasn't fast enough). Also, my CB Sweetlings are pink, therefore less rare. 2nd gen Thuweds haven't been given out for a long time. It took me 8 years to even catch my first CB Silver and I would never have gotten a CB Gold without help from a kind user (which was amazingly kind!) Rare things are usually traded between people who have rare things to offer- so no chance for people who don't have anything of worth. That made me feel sad for a long time, but I could live with it, as long as there was a chance to get something rare one day! The fact that there probably won't be any more CB Prize dragons, actually made it worse for me than better. Until the time no more Prize dragons were raffled out, I always accepted the fact that some users were luckier than me, BUT there was a chance, I would be lucky, too, some day. As long as there was still a chance, I felt this game was fair after all. Actually, I don't believe the mints will stay upside-down, but I hope for it. Not because I happen to have one, but that would mean that there will still be something rare from time to time, so everyone still has a chance to be lucky some day. Perhaps they'll turn themselves around and pop up as normal mints or defy the laws of gravity and float away as adults. Who knows? While i'm not too upset about not having a strange upside-down mint on my scroll, I am a little disappointed I missed all the special cave mint eggs in the AP. I joined a couple of months after the biomes were introduced and thought finally owning one would be quite special. Either way, I shouldn't get myself worked up too much about them. They are just mints, after all; hardly my favourite draggos. I just hope there'll be a chance for people who feel disappointed about missing out to have another chance to obtain pretty cave dragons, in the future. Share this post Link to post

I've been playing since 2008. I was here for every release except the hollies, was barely lucky enough to catch one CB Val' 09 (I still have no idea how, the bandwidth/my internet at the time was appalling). I just this year managed to trade for a CB silver, am still working on a CB gold, and between full time work and adult responsibility, do not have TIME to sit on the forum all day catching a gazillion olives to try and trade for a prize offspring or green copper. While that irks me sometimes still, it was nice to finally feel like I was "lucky". So I kinda hope they stay upside down too. (Also because when I was small, I used to flip myself upside down and stand against a wall on my head, and they remind me of that nonsense ) Share this post Link to post

I still think scroll badges would have been the way to go - leetle skull if you got et, leetle appropriately oriented Mint eggie if you were one of the "lucky" ones - that way, those of us that didn't get an egg would have had *something* and anyone who didn't keep their egg would still have a reminder of their choice. I agree. Like I said before, I think this was planned very poorly. Because people are trading off these special mints for rares. Meanwhile, the people who actually want one of these eggs are left out because rates are difficult to grab. Anyway, what should have happened is that after being eaten or getting an egg, the actual cave biome should have been accessable (which it was) but it should have also been dropping upside down and right side up mints. That way, it still would have been a hilarious prank, and people who were eaten weren't left out without an egg (or trying to grab a rare for one) Share this post Link to post

I personally think it would be awesome if the adults were upside down *and* could breed upside down mints as well! Then everyone could breed theirs and give them to people who didn't get one.
