Welcome to DC!

I hope you enjoy the forums. There's a lot of great things here, like the Common Collector's Competition, where you can be given rares just for raising commons. Might be a good opportunity for you. ^^

Tips for growing eggs!

- You can use a high-traffic forum, a few mid-traffic forums, 2 - 4 fansites (depending on how impatient you are), or a mix of any of these to raise your egg.

- You can put your eggs on a low or lower-mid traffic forum or one slower fansite right away, with 7 days left. But don't put it everywhere at once or it could get sick from getting too many views too fast.

- Once an egg has been alive for 12 - 24 hours or so, you can more safely add it to more sites.

- If you're impatient, 2 - 4 fansites will help raise your dragons as quickly as possible. There is no need to stick them in every single site ever. Your egg doesn't need that many views, plus...

- We all depend on each other for raising dragons! Any fansite you use to raise your dragons, you should leave open every few days and give it time to refresh so that you are giving views back to other user's dragons. Or if the forum(s) you use have a dedicated DC thread, spend some time just going through a few pages and at least viewing the dragons (clicking not necessary but might be appreciated on forums).

- My favorite fansites are: Valley Sherwood, Silvi's Lair, DragHatch, and Allure of Neglected Dragons. ValleySherwood is the site I put my eggs into right way.

- Once your egg has 4 days or less left, if it hasn't hatched, you can add it to an ER. An ER keeps your eggs in visible rotation for viewing so they get more views more quickly to help them hatch within a few hours.

- If you're impatient, start hunting red dragons. They have a BSA called incubate, which removes a day of time from an egg's timer, so it can hatch faster. However, if you use incubate, you will need more views to hatch your egg at 4 days left than you would for a non-incubated dragon.

- If your eggs get sick, hide them for about half a day to a day longer than after they get better. Not all fansites remove fogged eggs, so if you unfog them right away, they can continue receiving views and will likely get sick soon after you unfog them.

- Some breeds are more stubborn than others when hatching. This is normal. Some breeds (prizes, avatars, and GoNs mostly) are really stubborn. They tend to get sick right before they hatch. Some people prefer to fog them until they're better, then let them hatch. I let them hatch and then fog them. The decision is up to you depending on how paranoid you are.

Hope this helps and have fun!
